Hotel and the building was a little dated and looked like it could do with updating and a few repairs but the room, lobby and restaurant was nice and clean. The location was pretty good. Right across from the station, close to the night market, a short walk to the Ximen, and close bus routes. I wasn’t giving high hopes for the free breakfast but ended up quite enjoying it. Overall quite happy.

I recently stayed at the Maison De Chine Hotel in Chiayi for two nights and was pleasantly surprised by the value offered. I booked one of the cheaper rooms without a window, and let me tell you, it exceeded my expectations. The room was incredibly spacious, featuring a cozy sofa corner, a separate tea-making station, and a cleverly designed layout with a separate toilet, bathroom basin, shower, and bathroom area. This setup provided a level of convenience and comfort that’s hard to find at this price point.
Although I mostly used the room for sleeping, it was a great space to retreat to after a day of exploring. The reception team, especially Ken, was fantastic. They were always ready to help, whether it was organizing taxis at a moment’s notice or offering detailed information on how to catch a bus to Alishan.
One of the standout amenities was the free laundry room—an absolute lifesaver for someone like me who’s been traveling solo around Taiwan. It’s also worth mentioning the hotel’s excellent location. It’s just a 5-minute walk to the night market, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture and enjoy some delicious street food. There’s a cheap and tasty breakfast cafe right across the road and a Family Mart around the corner, where you can conveniently book your HSR tickets.
Overall, my stay at Maison De Chine Hotel was wonderful, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Chiayi.

Really nice to provide a little birthday gift of lotion, facial wash and conditioner for my mum. Loved their orange scent used in hand-wash.
Location was superb with many food options and convenience stores nearby plus walkable distance to WenHua Night Market.
Aircon was strong, bedding was comfortable and loved the hot tub!
Only negative was sometimes room cleaning wasn't done thoroughly as cups was unwashed and lift and lobby sometimes had an unpleasant smell. There was tea and snack available at lobby on the first day but never seen again on my four nights after.

The room is clean ,the toilet is clean, water pressure is good. Coincidentally, a earthquake happened causing the water heater to not work. The hotel offered to change to another hotel or a refund, which I appreciate the options given. Eventually, they fixed the water heater within few hours. Bed is nice and service is friendly.

因社團群推薦，我們買了好幾張住宿券，因快到期了，要趕快用掉，而這次是第二次入住，分享一下兩次入住的感受… 第一次（2020年4月）～連住2晚親子房 1.廁所垃圾桶沒清，底層留了幾張衛生紙迎接我們入住！ 2.第二天外出回房，補的備品，沒有依SOP整齊擺放在浴室洗手台上，而是混一整袋隨便的丟在房間桌上。 3.我當下沒有直接反應，但退房時有特別跟櫃臺提，櫃臺反應超級冷漠，一聲歉意也沒有，可能以為我都要退房了，過客沒什麼好理的，加上整房是房務的事吧！但房間整理不好、服務不好，是飯店整體問題！ 第二次為耗住宿券，必須連住三晚 1. Check in櫃台員很冷漠，基本禮貌也沒有，我們離櫃臺一步距離，有好幾人在櫃臺裡，我們正看要找那一組辦，這些人一句詢問也沒有，像雕像一樣直直盯著你，縱使靠近，也一句話不吭，像沒溫度的機器一樣幫你制式的辦入住（建議飯店找AI或許比這些像機器的人類好）！ 2.房內的頻道表沒更新，櫃臺連電視頻道那幾台有或沒有也不清楚，小孩想看momo親子，頻道跳掉，跟櫃臺反應，態度很不耐的跟我說，我們現在全部都很忙，等有空再處理，問她們大約要等多久？更不耐回你，有空就處理，電話就掛了，我PM6:15入房就問，到我們睡前還沒處理，真是藐視客人！ 3.房間裡的馬克杯很髒就算了，有一組泡茶杯組，更是噁心，一層厚厚白色粉末的“霉”，應該是“年”以上沒洗過！ 4.今天第一晚入住四人房，安排在A棟6樓，隔音超級差，凡有人走過、跑過、講話聲，全都聽的到，好多次我以為房門沒關，走過去確認！更誇張是隔壁按門鈴聲音大到像按我們這間的門鈴。 5.今天唯一感覺好一點的是，晚上訂富胖達，店家沒給餐具，櫃臺有免洗筷跟湯匙可提供，這點還正常（其實很多飯店都有提供餐具的服務，至少這點他們也有） 第二～三晚，我們加價換親子房，還不知會發生什麼事。

Convenience stores are far away. In addition, there are not many parking spaces in the hotel. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and even allow breakfast to take away. The family room is huge and has plenty of space for luggage. Tons of food near the hotel and party world karaoke too!

PPei-chiThe space is comfortable and spacious, and there is no smell. There is a water dispenser in the stairwell. The soundproofing is great, you can't hear anything from next door. There will be people to guide you when parking, and there will be service staff to help you carry your luggage. There are 7-11 convenience stores and CNPC gas stations within 50 meters. Because this place is close to a residential area, there are few restaurants nearby. Overall, except that the air conditioner is a bit louder, everything else is very good.

GGuest UserStay here only if the top 50 hotels in a 100 kilometer radius are full! 1) arrogant attitude. They won some sort of “most Instagram friendly hotel” because they have a pretty lobby. Now they think they’re “the sh*t”. No compromise, no hospitality. Just a “take it or leave it” attitude 2) everything is extra pay or requiring advanced booking. guests need to “pre-book” their vaunted rooftop bar. No special access for in-house guests. Gym use requires a trip to the lobby in advance 3) from online pictures you’d think all rooms had nice bathrooms. Not true. Check the fine print. Our room not only didn’t have a tub, it didn’t have a separate shower stall. Just a wet industrial bathroom 4) it seems that double beds are standard. If you don’t request you won’t get a single queen bed 5) inadequate parking. We had to park in a supermarket parking lot three blocks away because the 20 spots the hotel provided were full 6) full of screaming children. Not sure what special might be going on but hotel full of yelling families and screaming kids running around. 7) in the middle of nowhere. You can’t get anywhere interesting by foot and there are no taxis 8) And to top it all off, it’s not cheap! It’s actually one of the more expensive hotels in town

黃黃見昌The cleaning of the room is very thorough and all supplies are in place. The room is spacious and upgraded to a family room. My granddaughter is very happy. B1~5F is a department store, where you can have fun, gourmet food, and is very functional and convenient. The breakfast atmosphere was very peaceful and elegant, the dishes were good, and parking was convenient. I want to come again next time

Service - Well it’s a lot “do it yourself”. They don’t really speak English, but also when passing by they don’t say hello or good night or something like that. However, you need to take off your shoes when entering. They provide slippers if you don’t have your own. Furthermore, we were sitting in the lobby and eating a small piece of bread (one of those things you can get at 7-eleven) and drinking water, where they have tables and chairs. We were waiting for our train. The lady behind the desk came to us and told us we couldn’t eat there. We thought that this was ridiculous. Especially because it was something small and we of course would throw our trash away. Rooms - spacious due to the “high sleeper”. We were in a family room. Cleanliness - clean. Amenities - none not even towels! You need to rent them 10NT$ per towel. That’s not usual when staying in a private room. Breakfast - we didn’t try it, maar they offer it. Location - very close to the train station (not the high speed station). Less than 5 minutes walk. Price - very affordable. We would still recommend it, but just keep the above things in mind.

The bedding is too thin, and the air conditioner cannot allow the guests to adjust the temperature by themselves. They are all set to 22 It's very cold in winter, hope it can improve. In addition, the drinking equipment in the room only supplies hot water, and the hot water faucet does not stop immediately when it is turned off. It is very easy to get burned. I hope the supply of cold or ice water can be improved and increased. The bathroom is slippery and it is easy to fall. I hope to add special plastic slippers for the bathroom to prevent falls. GGuest UserSchick und modern renovierte Hotels in alten Gebäuden haben immer ein besonderes Flair. Die Zimmer sind in grau, schwarz und weiß gehalten, moderne Badezimmer, nichts Sensationelles, aber man fühlt sich wohl. Die Lage des Hotels direkt an der Kathedrale hat natürlich Vor- und Nachteile. Zum einen ist man direkt im Herzen von Haarlem, zum anderen kann es schon mal abends auf der Straße lauter werden, wenn auch die Fenster sehr gut isoliert sind. (Es gibt aber auch Zimmer zur ruhigen Rückseite.) Und, wenn man mit dem Auto anreist, muss man entweder in das direkt um die Ecke liegende Parkhaus (26€/Nacht) oder am Ortsrand parken. Ein Plus sind auch die beiden exzellenten Restaurants im Haus: das Sterne-Restaurant sowie das Bistro mit Terrasse. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich. Die Zimmer-Preise sind angemessen.
