If you're looking for bargain basement accommodations then look no further. We booked this hotel and specifically requested a pet room at the back of the hotel as the front faces Blanchard which is a busy road and it was confirmed at the time of booking this could be accommodated. When we arrived, we were given a dark, dungeon like room on the front of the building. Going back to talk to the front desk, we were informed that there was no way our request could have been accommodated at the time of booking and they were all booked up so we couldn't move rooms. About 30 minutes after checking into our room, we got a call from the front desk saying that someone had unexpected cancelled and they could move us to the back. I found this irritating as the room obviously wasn't occupied when we checked in and they could have easily given us the room at the back. We did move rooms and found ourselves on the quieter side of the building in a room with old, dirty looking carpet, smokey smelling room (it was supposed to be a non-smoking room) and substandard attention to the room with paint chipping on the bathroom door and the bathroom vinyl surround peeling off the wall. Next time we will pay the higher rate and save ourselves the trouble and frustration.

I'll start with the good..... free parking, hot water, power shower, daily fresh towels & coffee, iron & ironing board, good staff, microwave, kettle, Keurig, fridge. Our room was OK. However, there is no elevator. The bed creaked every time you moved, the springs were noisy & when one rolled over, the other followed suit, you both rolled together it needs a new mattress & base. The pillows were lumpy and had no substance to them even when you used two. The curtains were threadbare & paint peeling off the walls. No safe in the room. Storage & hangers are minimal. Black grout in between the tiles on the floor (needs a scrub with some grout cleaner). This doesn’t mean it wasn't cleaned as there was no hair in the sink or bath from previous occupants that we saw room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. The sink was not in the bathroom but in the bedroom. Pool & sauna.....pool was warm, but it needs a clean - there were live bugs in the pool we were in it approximately 10 minutes before we got out as we were grosses out, you could not see the bottom it was cloudy. The saunas are separate, one male & one female with change room facilities we didn't use them we also didn't use the fitness room. Access to the pool/sauna/fitness room, you have to go outside, walk the path , and then re-enter the building. The on-site dining....The Loft great staff with good pub food salt n pepper pork bites were very the kitchen staff worked very hard. Live music most nights but not disturbed by it. The Coachman, we had 1 breakfast there, and it wasn't great. Apparently, the chef was Grumpy that day .... maybe that's why it wasn't great? Waitress was great. All in all staff, were great, shower was powerful & hot, bed was not comfy we won't stay here again when we visit next.

In Victoria for a conference. The Empress was a most convenient spot to stay. The hotel is simply beautiful with a most excellent location downtown. The staff is very professional white being friendly. The site is very clean, with classic decor. To reach my room on the 7th floor, I had to take two elevators, (or one elevator and a set of stays). The room was large, very comfortable, with all necessary amenities, including fridge and Keurig. The gym, open 24 hours/day) has good equipment, but they had no wipes to clean the machines after use. They have a lovely pool, which I did not use. I

We were traveling with our three granddaughters for a graduation High Tea adventure. We picked Victoria BC and the Delta Marriott and we’re very pleased. Our Black Ball ferry delivered us to Victoria before check in and the desk clerk had rooms for us. The water taxi from the ferry port/Empress stop took us right to the Delta stop with all our luggage. The Rooms were comfortable, the Club Room worked out well for our large party and the server in the bar on the evening of June 29 has the best customer service. Taxis were ordered, directions happened, what a great visit to Victoria BC

I had called 9 hotels prior to this booking searching for a suite option that allowed my mom and adult brother some privacy and no one being stuck on a pull out sofa. Chateau Victoria had a great layout option at half price of any alternatives I could find. In addition to that, the customer service agent I spoke with, Heidi, was a breath of fresh air to converse with. Unlike previous hotels I had called, Heidi asked logical, relevant questions, and listened and responded in a helpful manner to all inquiries that I had. She was knowledgeable, polite, and made booking a breeze. I will definitely book at this property again.

We chose this hotel at the last minute, We needed something close to the Jubilee Hospital, and needed a good price. I love the location of the Huntingdon Manor. We ended up with a Euro Loft suite, which is a room with a kitchen, sofa bed, and then 3 beds upstairs. The room had everything we needed, and would work great for a girls weekend as it sleeps 5. We had a lovely harbour view. Our rate also included breakfast, and parking which is a huge bonus! The room is a bit dated, could us some new carpet for sure. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

Best Western plus Harbour Hotel, which is the third visit to Victoria on 2 days and 1 night. I made a reservation compared to the price of the accommodation. I stayed at Harbour View Hotel before and was so satisfied that I chose Harbour View Room to book this time. In fact, it's not as close to Victoria downtown, but if you buy Victoria Day Pass and go on a bus, you can just walk around. There is a catering kitchen in the room, so it would be good for family trips, especially. The amenities were so good that they were Citrus, and there was a bathtub, so I could bathe at night and relax my fatigue. The bed was comfortable, overall neat and modern rooms. I used it the next morning with breakfast, but I could eat it without having to go to another brunch shop with a variety of bread types and moderate food :) It's a harbour view that would have been more beautiful if the weather was better. If the weather is good when traveling to Victoria, I would definitely recommend Harbour View☺️

There were no amenities such as slippers and toothbrushes.
Dishes, glasses, detergent, etc. will make you feel comfortable even during your long stay.
There is also a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and oven.
The room was large and had a table and closet, so it was spacious enough for multiple people to use.
It was about a 10 minute walk from the bus stop to the ferry port, and there were no hills and access was good.

We recently stayed for 3 nights at Abigail’s Hotel. One of the nicest and friendliest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Little touches throughout are so perfect and well thought out. The staff are so warm, friendly and helpful. The hotel is delightful and decorated in such a wonderful way. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable. It’s just 10 minutes walk from the centre of Victoria and in a perfect spot. Whenever we come back to Victoria this is the only place we’ll stay. Thank you to everyone at Abigail’s Hotel for making our stay a memorable one.
GGuest Userupscale brewpub. Excellent choice of meals throughout the day. Beers are, for me, mostly just OK but generous tasting is available. I found my favourite for the day. Wines are available. Very pleasant atmosphere and views of the water.
GGuest UserI was delighted with this place, starting with the check in, we arrived so late and they were there to help us so late at night, the house is divine, so charming with historic vibes. For breakfast they accomodated our food needs and the staff was very friendly offering recommendations and chatting with every guest. It was quiet, and the living room was the most comfortable to have tea or coffee, which was available anytime. I have no complaints at all, only good thins to say and I would definitely recommend it.
EEscape19405503248We stayed in the Laurel wing of the hotel in a ”partial” harbour view room with a standing balcony. Although 2 small chairs could be put on the balcony to make it more user friendly there is no patio furniture. The view was very nice & the room was clean. However, the laurel wing is certainly looking it's age. Worn & damaged baseboards in the hallways, worn carpet & the decor & furniture in the rooms are outdated. Some maintenance of the lighting & drains were needed. Shower/tub was small, cramped & dark. There is a small mini fridge & a Nespresso maker (for very small cups of coffee) but no microwave. The room was supposed to have a kettle but we had to ask for one as none was in the room. Our bed was comfortable. Housekeeping is only every 2 days & we were told that when we checked in. We didn't ask for an adjoining room & weren't told we had one. We don't care for these types of rooms due to noise. And noise there was. Lots of noise. Kids running in the hallways like it was a race track, people talking loudly, slamming doors, etc. If we wanted a slightly better room with more of a harbour view or a balcony with furniture we would have had to pay substantially more money. Everything seemed to be an additional cost at this hotel. Only water from a dispenser was free. Even a piece of fruit had a cost. The restaurant looked very nice & there is a wonderful patio area attached to it. However, prices were outrageous which prevented us from eating there. A small burger with no side was $20. There is no coffee shop to get a take out coffee or small meal. There are a few food & drink items at a kiosk by the desk that you pay for. There is a pathway that you can walk to Fisherman's Wharf & also to the downtown. Both were wonderful to walk on. It is a short walk to downtown as the hotel is outside of the main part. The staff were friendly & helpful. However we were told nothing about the amenities of the hotel when we checked in such as how to connect to wifi, where the pool was, that there is a sitting area outside the conference rooms, etc. It was on our bucket list to stay at this hotel for years. We finally took a big breath & decided to pay the price which in my opinion is too high for what you get. Because of that, regretfully we won't likely return.

Very Good
LLiThe service at the front desk is very friendly. There are vending machines where you can buy snacks. The heating in the room is sufficient. The toilet and room are also clean. The transportation is also convenient. It is a 10-minute drive from downtown. The only downside is that no slippers are provided.
GGuest UserThe miniature double room just fits a double mattress, but there are charging plugs for bedside lamps and storage racks. It is clean and hygienic. The four rooms share a bathroom, and the bathroom is also very clean.
The best thing about it is that besides providing a rich free breakfast and a filling dinner, the atmosphere of the hostel is very strong. Provide one free water or beer. There are many older people, so it is called a backpacker hostel, not a youth hostel.

GGuest UserWell I'm not going to say the pillows are the fluffiest I've ever had because I always bring my own pillow, 🤣 But we enjoyed staying at the Bedford Regency Hotel in downtown Victoria British Columbia, the hotel room was very clean and very well kept. And it's right in the heart of downtown Victoria and very close to restaurants bars and shopping. It has a few idiosyncrasies like the lobby is on the second floor and the road in front of the hotel is closed during check-in hours but checking in to the hotel was not a problem. The bed was comfortable and it was not too noisy considering it is close to a few pubs. The TV was a bit high in our room for my viewing as I have neck problems but I was told next time to ask for one that is positioned lower. I liked the vintage look in the rooms. I have never come across a room that had a shower with two shower heads before.
