GGuest UserWe drive over to St. Augustine at least a couple times a year and always stay here. We’ve stayed here for the last few years and never even consider anywhere else. The location can’t be beat and the rooms are so nice. All the staff we’ve dealt with have been fantastic as well. The inn provides a parking pass for the garage across the street, and with the inn’s location you might not even need your vehicle for the majority of your visit.
MMarty BThis inn is literally in the central part of historic St. Augustine. There is no need to cross the bridge. The prices are reasonable for the most part. Expect, though, to pay premium prices during Christmas season. Entering the room was a nice surprise with “towel swans” like cruise ships use to have. Our room was clean and the AC cold. We liked the large refrigerator. The bathroom was renovated. There just needs to be hooks, though, to hang one’s clothes. My wife did not like the sink to be outside of the toilet/shower area. It is the style of older hotels. Ok by me, but not my wife. There is a pool on premise and sitting areas to view the river. I had to make an adjustment to the itinerary and calling directly was no problem. The famous AIA restaurant and bar nearby has closed since May 2024. It was an iconic place to listen to some music, drink and eat. Our favorite restaurant—the Columbia—did not disappoint. St. Augustine has a vibe all of its own and well worth spending time. GGuest UserCheyenne at the front desk was awesome took care of all our needs. The people who gave out the food in the breakfast line I give a heads up on the black heavy set man who was friendly and professional. Not so much for the girl older girl in cutoff shorts who help him. Room was so clean and the pool awesome. Friendly housekeeping staff made us feel good. We stayed in room 131 and the only problem was the door to the bathroom could not close. Staff went out of their was to drive us anywhere we needed. I loved this place and would never look for any other place. Location is perfect right next trolley for tours and they pick you up at the hotel.
Our experience at the Smart Stay Inn was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the front desk personnel. The room was very clean, and the pool area was so relaxing. Great staff and friendly. Nice restaurant in the area and not far away. I would recommend this hotel.
Great and very accommodating staff. Excellent rooms, very clean, safe and quiet. We were traveling pulling a boat and the staff went out of their way on a very busy night to make sure we could park in a safe area and have a wonderful nights rest. Thank you. You were our saving grace.
This is the best economy class motel I have ever been at. The entire place is clean, well lit, nice TV, very comfortable. The pool is clean with sufficient space to sit at. Complex area is well lit at night. Access to the laundry/ ice machine is secured with room key access only. Rooms are clean and seem to be newly renovated. Bed is comfortable, TV is large with a decent selection of channels, has mini fridge, small coffee maker, and plenty of room to move around in. The location is decent. Within a few miles of downtown, multiple restaurants and tourist attractions. I would definitely stay here again.
GGuest UserThis place is very much well kept. The staff was friendly, and courteous. The room was huge, and the house keepers did an outstanding job with the details of the towels and how the bed was made. Nothing short of impressive, my wife and I loved the one night we spent there.
MMtnGal12Very nice room that is clean, spacious, and airy. On the second floor, there is a handy access to a balcony to step outside and observe the area. The staff are polite and accommodating and the breakfast is adequate. During my stay, a hurricane was approaching (see the photo!) so the pool was closed and some amenities were not available, but still had a delightful stay! Fully recommend this hotel to anyone in the area. Plus, downtown and historic St. Augustine are worth a visit, there are a lot of things to see and enjoy.
