We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Place Vilano Beach. It was a close walk to a beautiful, clean beach. We were told the pool wasn’t warm, but turned out it was! We skipped swimming because we weren’t aware until it was too late. The breakfast was great and well stocked. We paid a little extra for a balcony but the view wasn’t good. Don’t waste your money on a balcony. We paid for valet parking which ended up not being necessary. There is plenty of street parking. It was overall a clean hotel and very friendly staff.

Cheyenne at the front desk was awesome took care of all our needs. The people who gave out the food in the breakfast line I give a heads up on the black heavy set man who was friendly and professional. Not so much for the girl older girl in cutoff shorts who help him. Room was so clean and the pool awesome. Friendly housekeeping staff made us feel good. We stayed in room 131 and the only problem was the door to the bathroom could not close. Staff went out of their was to drive us anywhere we needed. I loved this place and would never look for any other place. Location is perfect right next trolley for tours and they pick you up at the hotel.

GGuest UserThe Ponce is an older hotel with plenty of charm and character, which was what I was looking for. It has been maintained and updated beautifully. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable. Amenities included pool, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, blow dryer, iron, ironing board, writing desk with chair, huge HD TV, and free WIFI. A guest laundry room is available. The Ponce is a 15 minute walk or short drive to the St. Augustine old historic site. Shopping, restaurants, and a salon and spa are also minutes away. The Ponce is on the water, and although the restaurant does not face the water, the view is beautiful. The hotel restaurant, the DeLeon, is a Colombian restaurant. The food was delicious and authentic! I can't wait to eat there again. I give the Ponce Hotel a rating of A+++++. I also must mention that I left a pair of diamond earrings in my room, and within an hour of checking out, Negar, the hotel desk receptionist, called me to let me know, and my earrings are being mailed to me. This honesty and going the extra mile is seldom seen today, and I was extremely impressed and grateful. Again,I rate them very highly and plan to return on my next visit.

SSeabrookgalWe stayed here for two nights and made reservations through Holiday Inn. The price per night was close to $300, which was outrageous. But we wanted a Holiday Inn. There were very nice aspects to this hotel. But also some improvement, needed. On the plus side, our room was nice and clean although small. The bathroom was very roomy and we liked the Dove personal care products offered. The WIFI was a bit slow. But the beds were comfortable, so all good there. We arrived extra early (1 PM) and the guy at the desk, Andrew, couldn't have been more helpful! He checked on our room and found that indeed, we were able to check-in early. And he was very patient with us, explaining the many things to do and see around St. Augustine. He recommended Casa Reina for dinner, which we thoroughly enjoyed. He was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. We also talked to the house-keeping crew a number of times and they were always very pleasant. We looked into having breakfast the next morning and found the offerings weren't that appealing and the breakfast room very small. So we drove to the McDonald's down the street. It was nice that they offered coffee and hot water 24/7. There looked to be a nice pool, but the weather wasn't nice enough to swim. Our biggest complaint was the parking lot: it was extremely small and hard to drive around. It we had a big SUV, we probably wouldn't have been able to park here. This hotel was nice and close to Downtown. If we were younger, we could have walked across the bridge. If I had to plan this trip again, I would have tried to find a more reasonable hotel right Downtown where we could come and go, walk almost everywhere and not have to find (and pay) for a Downtown parking lot.

This hotel is basically a motel. Stayed 5 nights. Was disappointed with cleanliness and customer service. Room wasn't cleaned two days in a row - had to ask for towels and toiletries one of the two days that it wasn't cleaned. When it was cleaned, the toiletries were not replenished. Couple times the room wasn't cleaned until late (4-5 pm). Funky smell from water (faucets and bath). Windows are thin - can hear everything (heads up, you will definitely hear the peacocks, doors, people talking outside the room). Sink was clogging. Pillows hard/lumpy and bed not ”premium” (no pillowtop) as noted. No drapes in room as stated in site. Pictures are deceiving on their site. The motel needs upkeep - painting, cleaning, maintenance. Breakfast subpar. One time the eggs tasted like they were re-heated. The employee working in the breakfast area did not smile once, say good morning, or have any hospitality. They need more help at this place - and better help (people who are happy to be there and happy to welcome their guests and take pride in it. When we checked out, they didn't even ask how our stay was. This place should be much cheaper (motel pricing). Next time we will go to one of the other better known hotels, even if it's pricier. That would have made a much bigger difference on our trip. When you go on vacation, you want to feel comfortable, and taken care, and feel the welcoming, warm atmosphere from it's employees when you arrive, during your stay, and at the end when you check out. You also want a clean room - everyday. This place didn't provide that. Just being close to attractions doesn't cut it.

KKarina HMy stay at this hotel was horrible, I made the booking for my family based on the great experiences I've had before with the Wyndham hotels. Upon arrival we were given a room that had a very bad smell, my daughter went to wash her hands and the sink was clogged, there was a fruit sticker left on the front of the counter, my husband was able to remove the stopper at the sink, which was very dirty, we called the front desk and they sent someone to fix it, when I looked behind a chair in the room there were candy wrappers on the floor, we requested to move to a different room. The new room seemed to be cleaner, it was in the back of the property a little far from the front desk. We called the day of the checkout to request towels around 8am, just to be told we had to go get them from the front desk because there was no delivery until 10am, keep in mind checkout was at 11am. Also, the coffee machine had an old filter sitting in it.

I originally was booking another Hilton in St. Augustine (Homewood Suites) but it was expensive so the reservationist suggested Spark. I booked it without looking a reviews, but did look later and some of them were concerning but it was just for a short stay of one night. We came to check in around 9 pm and had to give our license plates for parking. There was a music festival (Sing out Loud) going on, so downtown was busy. I'd booked two rooms for me and my husband and my daughter and her two children. I entered my room and noticed there was a garbage can full of trash and a brown paper bag. I called downstairs to tell them, but then noticed towels crumpled up, wet washcloths and slimy soap, with a hair tie on the floor for good measure. They had given me a room that hadn't been cleaned. I guess the fact the bed was made threw me off. I went downstairs to get a new room. They didn't have one with a King bed, so I got two queens. The front desk worker didn't really apologize, just shook her head and said ”I'm not going to say anything,” like she was used to this kind of problem. The one thing I think she would've said was: ”I'm sorry.” After that, the room was fine, although we could never get the TV to work. The hotel is in a good location, close to the Fort and the historic district. The shampoos, soap and conditioner are in a large dispenser (not minis) and there are no cups in the room, but there are cups downstairs. You can also get tea or coffee 24/7. The breakfast was bagels, cream cheese, Yoplait yogurt and muffins in cellophane (Bran, Blueberry and Banana). It was fine for what it was. My one complaint about Spark, obviously, is the dirty room and lack of acknowledgment of the inconvenience. You need a key to use the restroom in the lobby. I took photos of the first dirty room and then places in the second where there was a split in the door and paint missing. Apparently the hotel was recently redone, but it looks like a little bit of a sloppy job (at least with painting). The gentleman at the front desk the next morning was helpful.

First time in Saint Augustine with my wife and kids, and we decided to stay here after we saw the IHOP with the Days Inn, which we had never seen before. Wow, we just cannot say how happy we were with our stay here. Our room was 206, and it was very clean and extremely beautiful. The entire hotel, inside and outside, was very clean, and they have everything in the lobby, which was a very big plus. The young manager who worked there was very professional, and he treated us as if we were his own family members. He gave my kids candy and my wife and me hot coffee the next morning from the IHOP restaurant. After we came home, we received a very beautiful greeting card from the hotel management for staying at the hotel. We would rate this hotel 100 stars. Thank you Days Inn Hotel, for making our stay the best.
