This is one of the best hostels ive stayed at. Ive been here about 4 different times for a get away in austin. The staff is super friendly and helpful. This time around went with a group to new places to dance and eat and it was alot of fun. 5 stars to sarah who lead the groups. 5 stars to the front desk help. The showers are great and the pillows and bed is good. This is a great place to stay, downtown close to everything.

Excellent
An amazing hotel with a cool theme. The rooms, pool, and courtyard areas were colorful and fun. The location was perfect on South Congress and walking distance from pretty much anything you could want. Parking available as well which was nice since I had a rental car. Definitely will be staying here again!!

Friendly check in , pool is perfect for summer weather! Gave cleanliness a 4 bc toilet didn’t not work first day and when send plumber to fix he has to go out and buy a part that needed replacement due to not being maintained. Took half a day to get fixed and couldn’t use restroom to 💩
After new part was installed , toiled flushed and at times got stuck so we had to turn of the water from bottom of toilet and turn back in for feces to flush 😩
Other than that, we were closed to many locations assessable on lime light scooter. Friend lobby held our bags last day for us to explore and we’re kind enough to deliver pre stamped postcards ♥️

GGuest UserGREAT PLACE TO STAY, ME AND MY FRIENDS HAD A GREAT TIME WE WENT OUT ON THE TOWN AND DOWNTOWN AREA WAS AWESOME THERE IS ALOT OF CLUBS AND FOOD TRUCK WHERE YOU CAN EAT, OUR ROOM WAS GREAT THE HOT WATER WAS GOOD CAUSE SOME HOTEL WATER IS WARM BUT THIS HOTEL WAS GOOD, THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND FRESH LOBBY AREA WAS CLEAN , STAFF WAS GREAT NICE FRIENDLY CHECK IN THE STAFF AT THE FRONT DESK HAD NICE AND SMOOTH MUSIC PLAYING THAT WAS GOOD TO HEAR , WE WILL BE BACK

This place looked decent online. The price was good. That should have been my clue. Austin is expensive. I booked on their website. The night I showed up, I didn't even have to check in. I could see clearly what I was in for. It was an absolute dump in a bad part of town. I told the man at the check-in desk that I wished to cancel because it was not a nice place. He said he would cancel but that I would still be responsible for the first night. I appealed to him and said, ”this isn't a nice place. It doesn't look like the photos”. He said it didn't matter. Obviously it should matter, but my card was charged. I think this place make money by doing this. The reviews on other sites, which I did not see, demonstrate absolute filth. I called Choice Hotels. They said that this guy put me down as a ”no show” which was not true. The Choice rep said they would tell the hotel to issue a refund. That has yet to happen. It's frustrating that I have to spend time chasing this money when a location of a major hotel chain is dishonest and practices false advertising. I can't recommend avoiding this place enough.
