The service was very good and caring, knowing that the child had an exam the next morning, and a free breakfast was specially arranged. It was originally not included in the breakfast. Such carefulness is rare in foreign service.

Stay in the center of one of Austin's most popular neighborhoods, one mile from Austin's downtown Convention Center. Dozens of the city's best restaurants, bars, breweries, and cultural hotspots are within walking distance of our hotel. The Oracle campus is two miles from us, and the Moody Center at UT-Austin is two and a half miles away. We're pet-friendly too.

I'll start by noting that this is handily the nicest Hampton Inn I've ever seen, in part because it's quite literally almost new, and doesn't seem to be drawing much guest traffic as of yet. At the same time, it's also one of the most oddly located hotels I can recall seeing – and I say that as a one-time professional hotel critic. (I couldn't even hazard a guess how many I've stayed in, but it's over 500.) Just for context: I live in Austin, and as it so happens the Hampton Inn is about a 10-minute walk from my apartment. (Since I'm a hotel nerd, I've stayed in most of Austin's at some point.) At least until this one, the Hampton Inns I've seen were largely or entirely ”either-or”: a given property was either a standalone, basically cookie-cutter design in suburban areas, small cities and along various highways, or it was an urban ”mid-size” tower which I'm putting in quotes because that usually means at least 10 stories. (The Hampton Inn in downtown Austin is 16.) I watched this place being built from the ground up, and I was admittedly quite surprised when I saw that it'd be a combo Hampton Inn / Home2Suites development. (The latter was built simultaneously in a separate building.) Reason being: the surrounding area has a severe shortage of apartments to rent, and up until shortly before it opened, the development had no signage of any kind. (Like others, I assumed it was another apartment building or something.) And while East Austin in general is trendy, there aren't any restaurants or bars particularly near the hotel. Further, East Austin remains very much hit-or-miss: the area has million-dollar homes within two blocks of public housing projects. This is true for the hotel as well. I do NOT mean to infer that public housing is automatically ”dangerous,” or even that East Austin has a ”crime problem.” My point is that the immediate surrounding area is quiet at night since it has no retail business, restaurants or bars, and particularly if you're not familiar with Austin, I'd definitely avoid walking to the hotel via either E 4th or E 5th St. Finally, there are several nearby boutique hotel options that don't seem to cost much more (at least at this writing), and are all better-located. The East Austin Hotel and Arrive Hotel are both on Sixth and further west, closer to the area's restaurants, bars & nightlife. The Heywood Hotel is a true boutique on Cesar Chavez St., and it & Sixth are where 90% of East Austin's things to do are located.

Went to a concert in Austin, TX and decided to stay here -- thankfully! This location was perfect -- close to everything! We were just minutes from the Capital (free tours), LBJ museum, many restaurants and the Moody Center. The parking is NOT free -- which I did not like and even got a ticket even though I paid after arrival (the manager removed the charges). BUT, this assured me that there are patrols throughout the parking lot. The atrium was beautiful with all rooms opening from the central area (not outdoors). The view was eye-appealing as you can just watch people moving about. There are TV's, couches, and free detox water (and regular water) in the atrium area. A nice place to just hang out. The hotel gives a couple of free alcoholic redeemable cards at check-in for the evening. Thought that was nice. The breakfast was fantastic -- an omelette bar, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, yogurt, fruit, bakery items, etc. It was fantastic and met all of our ”wants”. We didn't swim in the indoor pool or take advantage of the gym but can confirm that both are at this hotel. The rooms open to a living room area with a couch, TV, small table to seat 2, mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee ”abilities”, as well as a bar sink. Through a small hallway area (which encompasses the bathroom) is the bedroom area. Nice TV, an armoire, and dresser. Definitely a nice place to stay and will plan to pick this place again should we re-visit Austin, TX.

Big clean room, comfy bed and the breakfast was also good. Nightshift-staff was really welcoming. But it would be good to mention in the hotel description that the airport-shuttle stops at 11pm. Anyway we can recommend and would book this hotel again. :)

This hotel has all the basics: spacious rooms, comfortable beds, very decent continental breakfast, and everything works. However, it is in desperate need of a face lift - new carpets, upholstery, etc. There is a strong smell of ”old”. We went first to a Target to buy air freshener which we used liberally in both rooms all three days we were there. If you can deal with that, this hotel provides good value.

The check-in and out was smooth. Our stay is ok, the room is quite small but bed is comfy. The breakfast option was nice but the next day, we woke up a bit late, we joined buffet breakfast at 8:30AM but most of the food were gone and was not replaced. The location is good, near N. Lamar Ave and I-35 which is accesible to Downtown Austin.

Great stay at this hotel. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful and very accommodating for early check in and late check out. The area was a little worrisome at first (railroad tracks) but we found it very easy to get a rideshare and walking out to dinner at night there were some great restaurants just 1 block over. Clean rooms, hotel looks practically new, fabulous lobby and nice pool area in the center. We will definitely be keeping this in mind for our next trip into town.

We had mechanical issues leaving Boston so arrived in Austin just as our connection was backing out of the gate. We had a choice of 2 hotels that American Airlines would give a voucher for. Since we are a Hilton Honors member chose the Garden Inn. If you do the same please call the number on the voucher to have them send the shuttle van as there is another Hilton nearby with a shuttle bus that you might accidentally use by mistake as we did at first We were greeted by Marlene at the check in i had given her the voucher ID by phone so she was all ready for us when the van arrived. Rooms are a bit smaller than most but well appointed. Beds comfortable and plenty of towels etc. there is a restaurant and bar. The bar opens at 4pm the restaurant at 5. They have 5 main entrees on the menu as well as sandwiches. The server Morgan was very friendly and helpful And the food was ample and reasonable for a hotel restaurant. Unfortunately our luggage was still at the airport as the airline refused to release them as they are checked onward for the next day flight that we were are on. Marlene offered us toothpaste and toothbrushes which was well appreciated. In the morning the breakfast is either continental breakfast for $10 or full buffet and made to order omelettes for $20 per person. Omelettes are huge and excellent. Plenty of other foods and well worth the $20 All in all a good stay.

We stayed here for the US Grand Prix at Circuit Of The Americas. Location was very good for this as the circuit was only a 15 minute drive away. Having said that I’m not sure how suitable it is if your main purpose is seeing downtown or the SoCo areas. We ourselves checked into a different hotel after the race weekend in the downtown area for this reason. The rooms are spacious, modern and well appointed, can’t really fault them especially for the price point. The only slight issue would be the noise from the highway/freeway and its many flyovers that surround the hotel. It wasn’t horrendous and didn’t impact our sleep but it was noticeable. Having said that I believe this is something you would have to deal with at nearly any hotel of this type. Lastly I must say a huge thank you to Chelsea on the front desk who we had been in contact with prior to our stay about a delivery we had scheduled to the hotel. She was nothing but helpful and the service that we received from her prior to our stay and during our stay was the best we have ever received. Can’t thank her enough.

GGuest UserConsistently lovely hotel with consistently good service. The juevos rancheros I ordered and had delivered to my room were incredibly good! And the coffee was nice and strong ….. glad I asked for extra cream and sugars ! Great location near the Arboretum stores and shops at the Domain . Also close to Whole Foods, H‑E‑B grocery store, Gateway movie theater, and lots of good restaurants, many within walking distance.. Large rooms, bathroom stocked with Aveda products. (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap for hands) was a very nice touch! The only thing I didn’t like was they have recently started charging for self parking in their uncovered lot ….. I paid $20 on 1/31/24. I don’t like that at all. Just put the price in your room rate and say free parking!

EExpatCambria is a newer hotel amidst the redevelopment projects taking place near Rainey Street, a historic landmark of homes turned into entertainment venues. Cambria is opposite side of the spectrum with innovative decor and relaxation. Note that parking costs 49USD per day with valet access only. We chose not to rent a car based on our needs in Austin. Came to visit my son and his family with my eldest son, so we wanted to have some options near nightlife activities. Local drivers shared info on the changes made to the nearby historic street, and staff was friendly with all needs. The water statiins were a plus. Where I think Cambria can improve is in the price of the rooms, menu items and operation hours of their lobby bar/roof bar since staff was short during our stay. Walking to the entertainment street required the back alley short trek, and that aspect took away from the lush atmosphere of the hotel. Grafitti and Limestone hotel venues can easily adjust their marketung strategies towards in-house entertainment along with the Valet arrangement to flow more smoothly and affordably. It’s a lovely hotel which can become full circle staycation with a few adjustments regarding that aspect. New business developments working alongside grass roots businesses is key to smooth changes for both visitors and long-time locals. The pool atmosphere is great, the gym is clean, and the first floor waiting area an easy meeting spot.

My company Amazing Art Expo did a Disney, Star Wars, Anime art event at the Holiday Inn Midtown the weekend of Feb 1-3rd and my staff and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. I want to first state, the rooms were incredibly clean, comfortable and the beds were very comfortable to a point where I slept better here than I do in my regular bed at home. The parking was plentiful and free and my staff and I felt safe with the surroundings that each night we walked to a restaurant without any worries. In first contacting the hotel about a month prior to the event, I spoke to Angie Mitschke who took the time to go over potential dates and respecting my budgetary needs, Angie worked extensively with me to accommodate our budget and reserve the ballrooms for us. I then proceeded to communicate with Mayra Lopez. Mayra was very adamant about making certain our room setup fit our expectations and her communication with me was outstanding. Despite our move-in date scheduled for Friday morning, Feb 1st, I requested at the last minute if we could unload the merchandise in our truck on Thursday afternoon in order to save time. Mayra and Angie both made this possible which gave us much more time to set up on Friday. This was a very nice add on and was greatly appreciated. The ballroom setup person (unfortunately I forgot his name) often checked in with us to see if we needed any service. Needless to say, the staff went above and beyond expectations. I highly recommend this hotel and I plan to do future business with them.

MMark SThis is a fairly new property very close to the Austin airport. Property is kind of a hybrid - half the rooms on each floor are studio suites, with the other half basic rooms. My studio suite was a king room, with cooktop, microwave, fridge with freezer (about 10 cu ft, much larger than those mini-fridges), small dining table, seats 2), closet, no sofa chair, no luggage rack. Setup was efficient, but small. Only has room for 2 guests - while it says it's a suite, it's not very roomy. My son's Scout troop selected this property based solely on price, so parent chaperones needed to stay at the same property. Pros - great rate (book directly for best rate. I paid $53.99 for a studio suite about 3 weeks ahead of time. Most of the parents paid $64. Still a great rate for Austin). Book early. Those who waited until the last minute paid $110 for the same room I booked. Free parking. Large lobby with free coffee in morning. Lots of vending machines (ice makers on property as well.) TV had tons of channels with HBO and Showtime. Cons - parking lot has very limited spaces near building. The rest are down a steep hill on the same lot. No free breakfast (at all). No toiletries provided. Bring your own shampoo, Kleenex, hair dryer, etc. Bath only has mini-soaps. Property is near a busy intersection, so if you are sensitive, road noise will be a problem no matter what you do. Hotel was very busy when I was there. The same lady (Michelle?) was at the front desk working when I was there the whole weekend. She was very friendly. At check in, there was some drama with the couple checking in ahead of me and Michelle handled the situation like a champ! Kept her cool with some very upset people ahead of me. Seriously - management needs to have her put on a clinic to show others how to handle these situations. Overall, a good budget property. In light traffic, the drive to downtown was only about 12 minutes. With all the traffic, I don't recommend walking anywhere (plus the neighborhood seems a bit rough) but there are lots of food options and a massive grocery store (HEB Plus) a short drive away.

BBridgesThis hotel is a bit old and needs updating. The shower lacked hot water and the power outlets in the bathroom were inoperable. The headboard was old and tattered on one of the beds. Front desk employee was extremely pleasant and bubbly. Hotels are a bit pricey in Austin but if you want something a bit more current I recommend spending an extra 50-100 dollars. If you are in a pinch, this place is alright.
