Off course opinions vary, I know. Our expirience was not that great. On the positive side, rates are interesting compared to other ho(s)tels. Laundry service is nice. But that's pretty much it. The expression 'when you pay peanuts, you get...' exists for a reason. That everything is basic comes with a cheap hostel. But some things are a bit too basic, like for instance the matrass. Isolation is literally zero, aspecially when you are sleeping roadside. Earplugs is a must, and even then you have to be lucky to get some sleep. Enough people will call the breakfast simple but sufficient, or something like that. But it's hard to call slices of bread to toast and orange parts sufficient. And to conclude with; I guess you could say staff is friendly, but apart from that pretty incompetent.

We booked a private bathroom in a corridor with several rooms. The room was comfortable and a person came to clean every day. This corridor has a door separated from the common area with reception, tables and sofas. I was sometimes a little noisy because of the staff's conversations, and as I was in the last room at the end of the corridor, I was not disturbed, perhaps anyone in the nearby rooms would have felt more. The girl who attended us, Mili, was very kind and demanding, and has a kitchen released from 11:00 to 23:00 for anyone who wants to use. The location is in a quiet area, you need to walk a little to the center, around 15 minutes, but nothing too much.

The staff here were so so helpful. They helped me to book my buses, were so quick with laundry and helped me find a place to fix my broken sunglasses. They also went above and beyond when I rang them in the middle of a tour after realising I hadn’t locked my locker in my dorm and was worried about my bag - they went and got my bag and held it safely behind reception till I got back from my tour. The hostel is very homey with small dorms, cosy beds and a nice sitting area and garden. Breakfast is also included (not a huge selection but does the job) and they offer a packed lunch service for tours.

Ubicado a poca distancia del centro, 5 minutos andando. Las camas muy comodas, habitación con baño privado con ducha muy grande, instalaciones limpias.
Amplio salon comedor muy bonito con unas vistas muy lindas para ver la puesta de sol.
Destacar la amabilidad de el personal y predisposición para ayudar, aconsejar en todo, les doy un 10. Muy contenta con las estancia, sin duda repetiría.

Large hostel close to bus terminal has a lot of information for travellers and can arrange morning bus excursion to Perito Moreno glacier for you. Friendly and helpful staff. Uber clean areas throughout. Personal power points and light at each bunk plus large slide out storage underneath that you can lock with your own device. Never need to wait for toilet or shower as they have large bathrooms with 6 cubicles and 7 showers for men and I presume for women. Decent breakfast of many types of breads with jam, cakes, cereal, cut fruit, juices and coffee & tea. Had to pay extra for towel. Curtains around each bunk would stop the bright light from one bunk disturbing person in opposite bunk. The images for men and women on bathroom signage are similar. I had to look twice and a girl ended up in the men's shower room when I was there.

Excellent
Excellent price-performance choice for your stay in El Calafate. Its a family owned hotel so service is personalized and very kind, and also professional. Rooms are small, but clean and have central heating. They don't have frigobar nor any type of equipment, but the hotel staff offers their fridge if you want to leave anything to be kept cold. It does not have a restaurant, but they offer table service if you order delivery from any near by restaurant. They were even kind enough to heat the empanadas we had ordered. The hotel is very close to the bus station, but around a 2km distance to the city center, but it is a comfortable and safe walk. It does not have onsite parking, but the location of the hotel allows you to securely park your car outside.

GGuest UserVery courteous front desk people. Most of them spoke English. The room was mostly comfortable. The bathroom was a little cramped, but this seems to be the norm in this area. They allowed us to leave our bags in the front desk area for a few hours. The breakfast was pretty amazing.

KKaren RThis was the least favorite of the all hotels we stayed in on our trip, but on the positive side we found the desk staff to be extremely helpful and kind. The hotel is very basic. The photos on Tripadvisor make it look really good but in real life the place is on the edge of shabby. We like simplicity but the rooms are spartan. Little conveniences are missing - like a shelf in the bathroom, a large mirror in the room and a bench for a suitcase. Things like this, that are standard in other hotels, are forgotten here. It has a motel feel. Sounds echo across the hotel and you can hear even normal level conversations. The breakfast is also basic because the kitchen is tiny. There is a steep downhill/uphill walk to the center of town. On the upside, the rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable and the staff is very helpful. It's a decent enough place but completely unremarkable in every way. If I return to El Calafate I would stay elsewhere.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, a solo dos cuadras de la calle principal y a pocas cuadras de la Reserva Natural 'Laguna Nimez'. El personal es muy atento y agradable, siempre dispuesto a resolver cualquier duda. No solo respondieron todas mis consultas, sino que también me asesoraron sobre las actividades para hacer en la zona, e incluso se encargaban de hacer las reservas por mí si era necesario. El desayuno es muy completo y variado, ofreciendo no solo opciones con harinas, sino también una buena selección de frutas y comida caliente. Además, el hotel cuenta con un restaurante para cenar que me pareció económico en comparación con los precios del centro, con un menú variado y un excelente servicio. La habitación estaba bien en general, aunque la cama podría haber sido un poco más grande. A pesar de eso, fue cómoda y descansé bien. Aunque el hotel tiene cochera, no la utilicé, por lo que no puedo opinar al respecto. Sin embargo, estoy seguro de que si vuelvo a El Calafate, me alojaría nuevamente en Michelangelo Hotel.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a hiking tour of Patagonia. It’s just in the edge of town but easy to walk to the shops and restaurants. They gave us the key to someone elses room on checking in (but worrying that we managed to open their door) but wee soon in our own room upstairs. The room was small with twin beds and a small bathroom. It was fine for a short stay. Breakfast was OK with ham, cheese, eggs, etc and they also were able to provide us with a packed lunch for our day at the Perito Moreno glacier.

MMakiA typical family hotel, you can see the lake in the distance, it is very beautiful, but it is far from the city center so it is very inconvenient to eat and shop. You ca n’t see a taxi without uber. The breakfast was terrible. I felt that the owner cooked the food at home. There was nothing to eat, and I didn't even see the eggs. It was the first time I saw ... the boss at the front desk was pretty good. The English was good. It ’s weird that I have to put the key at the front desk every time I go out

Stayed for 3 nights in 2 rooms. Wifi was adequate. Breakfast was from 6:30-1AM - more like a continental breakfast but they did offer scrambled eggs. It was a bit tricky regulating the water temperature - hot/cold dials - but water pressure was adequate. No screens on the windows so if you open them to moderate temperature, you could get a fly or two. Housekeeping was solid. Front desk was helpful (restaurant recommendations, booking a taxi to the airport, confirming our excursion pickup). You will most likely be out early in the morning and back in the evening to clean up before heading into town for dinner. As a result, your time in your room is nominal - just to sleep and that's about the best way to get through your stay. If you come during the holidays. expect to pay holiday sized rates!

太太Come back from Antarctica to see the glacier. There is a car at the airport to send directly to the hotel, buy a round-trip ticket, cheap, open the hotel after three days, send to the airport, I like this town, roses are everywhere, Argentina Lake is particularly beautiful
