The One Inn

As a post-2000s guest, I didn't find the place as awful as the online reviews suggest. The color of the towels speaks volumes about the environment. It's certainly small, and the water heater is a bit primitive. There were no safety concerns, and the front desk staff were very friendly, though we did need to communicate in English. The location in Mong Kok, with a bustling market and airport shuttle buses just downstairs, is incredibly convenient.

I requested a room on the 15th floor of Building C at the First Hotel. It was 14 square meters with a window. I was actually given a room at the Sydney Hotel, on the 7th floor of Building E. It was 9 square meters without a window. After complaining to Ctrip, they were unable to contact the hotel and offered me 100 yuan in compensation. The hotelier was Indian, so if you don't speak English, communication can be difficult. Indians are not very welcoming and aren't particularly forthcoming. I only discovered my room swap after arriving. The front desk is on the 11th floor of Building A. It was impossible to argue with four huge suitcases. So this review is actually for the Sydney Hotel. The room was clean, so I give it a 5. However, the room was incredibly small. There was no place to put our luggage. We had four suitcases, so we had to stuff them under the bed. Overall, it was a mixed bag.

Everything is very clean, friendly hostesses ♥️ in the very center.
