The typical mainland Chinese accent and tone were very impatient and cold. I booked a date a day early and called the hotel a day before check-in to request a change of check-in date. The front desk said they couldn't handle it and told me to call the next day to ask the manager. The next day, I called again and was told to contact Ctrip, but they wouldn't handle it. In the end, I couldn't check out or change my check-in date, even though the hotel actually showed rooms available. Their attitude was simply terrible. Booking through Ctrip indicated that cancellations and date changes were negotiable, but in reality, they weren't. It's outrageous.
