Convenient location, close to shops, kowloon, harbour city, etc. Great value on weekdays because the price is not relatively high. Don't expect bigger rooms if you are choosing the value hotel in the downtown (expect the typical small room types) Good for a day or so as a solo traveler. The rooms are clean, tidy, and safe. The attendant and the owner were really good! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I could echo other people’s reviews about cleanliness and the area etc, but what I will say is Hong Kong is one of the most expensive places for space in the world and you get what you pay for. I chose the ‘double room’ and it was tiny as expected but it was secure and the lady at the ‘reception’ was very nice.

I had booked a double room, when I showed up they gave me a single since I was alone. Save your self the money and book the room that fits the exact size of the party, even if you want extra room. On my third night I was woken up to water dripping from the ceiling, the room is so small it was dripping on the bed and in the little square next to the bed and in the bathroom. When I emailed the staff about it, I asked if they could fix the problem or move me to a different room; I was going to be gone all day at Disney, They emailed back and said “I will fix this.” No more communication from them for the rest of the day. I had thought that it had been fixed. When I show up the power is out in my room and everything I own is damp, and nothing had been fixed. I was staying in A block and the managers are in D block so I had to go back downstairs and wait 20 mins for the elevator both times, just for the manager to say “yeah the power doesn’t see to be working in your room and the bed is quite wet. When do you check out?” Then when he could tell I was clearly upset he goes “you will stay in this room up here, go grab your stuff, we are doing the best we can.” THE BEST YOU CAN?!?! I do not understand why they couldn’t have emailed me about the issues and the solutions so I didn’t have to go up and down so many times. The elevators are always busy and it takes around an hour to go back and forth that many times. I am very disappointed in the service especially for the price. I’ve never had such bad service at a hotel before. I wouldn’t book again.

It was a terrible experience. The comforter and sheets were extremely dirty. The shower was broken, with no hot water. There were no disposable toothbrushes, shower gel, shampoo, or even toilet paper.

Room is very small There are no hooks to hang clothes. The room is not big enough for three people.

I do not recommend this hostel at Chungking Mansion. The photos they posted are fake. I booked double bed for me and my husband. See pictures for your reference. Much better to find another hostel inside chunking. Not here at Marrigold!! They don't change bed linens and pillow cases. Airconditioning is disgusting ang very noisy. Please be aware when booking with this hostel.

I remember recommend this hotel . Yes maybe the room is a little bit small but it’s clean and quiet and the stuff are nice

Well, it wasn’t to bad and you def need to know in what kind of building you are staying and my ac wasn’t properly working what made the entire time sweaty!

You shouldn't expect much for such money in Hong Kong but I still think that the owners of the hostel could try harder to improve the environment, cleanliness and service. The rooms are cramped and untidy with no amenities at all. We didn't have a hot water in the room which was so bad. Maximum one night stay, I would never recommend this place for longer period

I had to ask for my bedsheets to be changed ,the bed sheets are old ,they are stained .The male receptionist is rude .An unpleasant stay .However the owner of the place is nice .

The service was very good. The rooms were nice and clean. Also the location was very good.
