This was probably the worst hotel I chose in Hong Kong this year. I booked a three-day, two-night stay, and my experience is hard to describe:
1. The hotel has no front desk. The driver took me back to the hotel around 9:30 PM. He drove around 1881 for 20 minutes but couldn't find the entrance. I finally called the hotel housekeeper to pick me up, and she finally found it.
2. The room I was assigned was next to the celebration hall. The suite was still partying at 11 PM, and even with earplugs, I couldn't fall asleep.
3. The room soundproofing was extremely poor. On both days, around 7 AM and 11 PM, I could clearly hear the clattering of shoes walking back and forth at the door. I was woken by this noise at 7 AM.
4. The security was extremely problematic. I ordered coffee and a pork chop bun this morning, and the delivery guy knocked directly on my door, suggesting the building's access control system was completely unregulated.
5. The most outrageous thing was that when I was leaving, my driver was waiting at the parking lot because I had to carry my luggage down the narrow hallway. The receptionist at the hotel downstairs, 1881, was extremely rude, yelling at my driver not to stop for more than 20 seconds, forcing him to go in circles. We can all understand if we could have just discussed it politely, but their rude behavior was offensive to the driver's dignity, which was even more incomprehensible. As a hotel guest, my driver had the right to make a brief stop and wait, and there was a stopping area. The bay is used for passenger pickup and drop-off and has absolutely no impact on traffic.
Based on the above, I strongly advise caution when choosing a hotel like this. Security is questionable, the soundproofing is poor and it's extremely noisy at night. The parking staff are also quite unfriendly.

The hotel's mix of Republican-era style and Southeast Asian flair offers a truly unique view. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was renovated and modernized, though unfortunately, it still lacked a Washlet. The internet connection was usually good, but it suddenly went down.

The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive.
Old, traditional building.
The lighting was a little dim, but everything else was excellent.
