"The epitome of you get what you pay for, don’t get me wrong, it’s clean the rooms are pretty modern And it’s got everything you need bathroom are good, rooms are plenty big enough, the location is within walking distance (I’m not fit but the walk didn’t kill me) to the docks and Salamanca market, main complaint would have to be they have less than half the car parking as rooms, if you get there after three or four you’ll probably have to park out in the street,"

"I absolutely loved the complimentary welcome cheese platter. The breakfast box was a bit basic, so we just grabbed a quick bite before heading into town for coffee. The town is tiny, but I really enjoyed its quiet and peaceful atmosphere, and it wasn't crowded. Every day, three little ducks would visit our balcony, waiting for cookies, which the kids absolutely adored. Both bedrooms were very clean, and the bathroom was huge. The basic toaster, microwave, and fridge were very useful, and room service was available from the restaurant. The tree outside the front door displayed beautiful changing colors throughout the day, which was very pretty."

"Nice spot about a 5 minute drive or cab from the main part of Hobart. Check in desk is seemingly not manned very often but the check in and check out process was very smooth, well check out was just dropping a key into the box! There's a telephone number to contact in the event of serious issues but if it isn't deemed serious by the owner then you may get charged so be careful. If youre looking for a spot close to a few tourist spots then this is great, and only about 20 minutes by a cab from the airport too (Uber works fine)"

"Hotels in Hobart are very tight and expensive during Christmas and New Year, so this one is good value for money. The hotel is a little far from the city center, but it is okay to walk there. This is a hotel with few rooms. The hotel does not have a dedicated front desk. It is jointly operated with the hotel downstairs. It seems that there is no service staff when the hotel is closed. The room is not big but it is ok for three people to stay. It was clean and tidy when we checked in, but no one came to clean and change the bath towels, etc. after three days of stay. Only someone came to take away the garbage every day. In addition, the Simmons mattress is relatively soft and not very comfortable to sleep on. It needs to be replaced."

"The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was very large too. It was all clean. Most guest rooms are in annexes, with reception and dining in the old building (old for Oz, anyway) which boasts a bit of style. Breakfast was quite good but items such as bacon and scrambled eggs did not stay very hot about the buffet. I liked the sourdough. Reception was prompt and professional. Now the minor dislikes: it’s a good 30 minute walk from the CBD / waterfront, up a bit of hill all the way. (There is an area with plenty of bars etc about half way). I walked several times a day and it was OK. Most guests will have cars though. The living area in the room needed a TV. If there can only be one TV per room, it would be better there than in front of the bed in my opinion. Finally, one of the two wardrobes is locked up, presumably to store linen etc. The other only has hanging space so there was no shelving. I felt a little cheated that half of “my” potential wardrobe space was denied to me! On balance, I would consider staying again, even though it is a little way out of town. Overall it is large, clean, comfortable and manages a little style."

"The room is clean, the cleaning staff is friendly and provides daily cleaning. Only one arrogant counter staff is uncomfortable, everything else is good. The old building needs to climb stairs. Free self-service laundry but there is a time limit before 9pm."

"The front desk is welcoming and the hotel has no elevator! You need to lift your luggage up and down yourself! There is no place for luggage in the room. The bed was comfortable, and the oil stain on the cover was poor. The bath water is very good, that is, the place is a bit small, and people who need a small shower. The bathroom is quite large, and the non-stop work beside the bed is a bit annoying! The water next door feels flowing from this room, and the whole four or five kinds of noise are annoying. The room facilities are a bit dated, after all, the price is there. Personal feeling is just suitable for sleeping at night!"
