The room is not small for Japan, it is clean and the view outside the window is beautiful. The service is friendly and there is a semi-open-air private hot spring. Although there is no scenery, it is still very comfortable to take a bath after skiing. The restaurant and bar are both very nice. I met the owner and had a pleasant half-day, half-English chat with him. The owner also treated me to many drinks. The only downside is that there is no elevator, which makes it a little troublesome to move luggage. If you want to eat at the restaurant, remember to make a reservation one day in advance.

Their affection for France is apparent everywhere. The herbal tea and pudding served as welcome drinks were delicious, which shows the concept of this pension. The sweets have a rich taste made from concentrated ingredients. That alone is enough to satisfy. Apparently they go to France to buy wine, so hard-to-find wines can be enjoyed at reasonable prices. They probably have a secret stash of expensive wines that I don't think I'll ever be able to drink in my lifetime. The homemade bread and croissants imported from France are also of a high standard. It's easy to see why people who fit the owner and sommelier's preferences become repeat customers.

歴史ある施設に必要最低限の手を加え、現代に合う居心地の良い空間を提供されていて、そのサービスと配慮は圧巻でした。ホテルの敷地に入った瞬間から異次元の夢のような時間を過ごすことが出来ました。まさにオーベルジュでした。
