Great location right at the famous Qilou Old Street main tourist attraction spot, saved time and transportation tour in the area, and walking distance to famous food stalls. Front desk was very helpful to carry the large and hand carry luggages up to my room located at second floor. Bed is big, clean and comfortable. Room decorated with unique antique style. With the room price is reasonable especially located right inside the main tourist spot. Worth to stay and experience the heritage old buildings atmosphere. Need to improve the maintenance and cleanliness of the surrounding especially the bathroom area due to humidity and mold spots, perhaps change the old carpets and install the lift or slopes so that easier for travelers to carry the luggage up to the room. Understand it’s costly for the maintenance of the heritage old buildings. Overall strongly recommended for tourists to experience the stay👍🌴

I stumbled upon this newly opened hotel online, and the room was great! 👍 The manager upgraded me to a higher floor room with a better view of the old Qilou street. The environment was lovely, and they even gave me a small gift upon check-out. The service was attentive and meticulous.

Booked this hotel for an 11hr layover in Haikou as I wanted to do some exploring in town. Called in advance from Australia to see if I could check in outside of the listed policy check in time and what I needed to do to secure my booking as some hotels don’t allow for early check in. While the staff don’t speak fluent English I was able to confirm with basic Mandarin that reception is open 24hrs and this was fine. They helped me with the right day to book the hotel, otherwise I would’ve booked the wrong day as I was only staying from 6am to 2pm (checkout time). Customer service provided by Miss Wu Chiang Mei was fantastic! This is so much value for money. Rooms are spacious and the rooms are automated - the curtains opened on arrival! The tech in the room is impressive. While not in the heart of the bustling tourist areas, it’s only a short 10min Didi ride to most attractions. It’s also walkable if you don’t mind a 40min walk. Highly recommend, would stay again and hopefully longer.

The hotel boasts a fantastic location, making it incredibly convenient to explore the surrounding area, and it's particularly close to Qilou Old Street. It offers excellent value for money. There are also plenty of delicious food options right nearby. I was impressed by the hotel's smart management systems, and the customer service team provided great service.

The room's exterior wasn't anything special, but the inside was actually quite nice. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and hospitable. The bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area, and surprisingly, even a bidet toilet seat! Everything was excellent. I was here for Eason Chan's concert on the 13th, but I won't dwell on the disappointing details. I simply didn't have the energy to argue with Damai (the ticketing platform) and the organizers, so I just got my 1880 refund and decided to spend that money on something else instead. I ended up treating myself to Hainanese rice noodles, Zao Po Cu (sour soup), Qingbuliang (sweet soup), coconut water, Hainanese chicken, pandan layer cake, Xinglong coffee, and other local specialties in Haikou's Qilou Old Street. (It's super convenient that you can even mail purchased specialties!) Overall, it was a great experience, and if I return to Haikou, I'd definitely choose to stay here again. You can step right out and immediately find local delicacies and admire the unique architecture! This whole trip really lifted my spirits; otherwise, I would have been truly gutted by the concert debacle and the typhoon.

To be honest, my overall impression was just okay. The price was excellent. The location was good, a little over a 10-minute walk to Qilou Old Street, and there's a mall and supermarket directly across the street. They also offered a complimentary coffee worth 30 RMB. There's room for improvement regarding room cleanliness. Upon check-in, there was a strange odor from the bathroom floor, which I had to wipe down myself with a towel. The air conditioning seemed a bit weak; it stayed at 25 degrees Celsius and wouldn't cool down further. However, it was blowing air, which was enough for me, so I didn't bother complaining. The street-facing room was very noisy, with loud karaoke at night and constant honking from cars during the day. The morning shift at the front desk was friendly and welcoming, but the afternoon staff seemed quite unapproachable.

Very clean hotel, good location right behind there’s a big mall. Friendly staff, washing machines free to use. Gym facilities only 2 cardio. Overall worth the price.

The food delivery service was quite unique: riders dropped off orders at the lobby, and then a robot delivered them right to our room door. It was so much fun, and the kids absolutely loved it, even deliberately ordering several more times just for the novelty! Interestingly, while other hotels often have similar setups, they usually just leave the food in a downstairs locker for self-pickup, so this direct-to-room delivery was a fantastic differentiator. We were traveling from Sanya to Haikou and spontaneously decided to stay at Atour. What a pleasant surprise! The hotel staff were incredibly accommodating and always went the extra mile to assist us. A special shout-out to the cleaning lady who serviced our room – she was exceptionally warm and friendly. Highly recommend!

The staff were attentive and made us feel welcome. The only downside (which isn’t the hotel’s fault) is that **smoking is allowed throughout the city**, including in the building, restaurants, and public areas. It would be much better if the hotel and surrounding venues were **non-smoking** for a fresher environment. Overall, a **highly recommended stay**—just be prepared for the smoking culture in the city. Would definitely return!
