PPodcharakWe booked two rooms with a connecting door, which at first looked great with a nice river view. However, at 9 p.m., the air conditioner in one of the rooms broke down. After we informed the hotel, a member of the front office team suddenly appeared and handed us a new room keycard without even asking if we wanted to move. We didn’t, as our main priority for staying here was the connecting rooms. He then said it would surely take a long time to fix the issue, but we were fine with waiting. Surprisingly, the engineering team fixed it within 15 minutes. This made me think the hotel staff were just too lazy to fix it right away. Also, the morning egg station chef always seemed very serious, which made our mornings feel a bit too serious as well.

But the main highlight is the breakfast — it's vastly superior to the Hilton's, and the price is lower too. Plus, there are some great Thai restaurants nearby that are also very affordable.

The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. Check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free. Breakfast was simple but good, with a mix of Thai and international options—perfect to start the day. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Rayong and would be happy to stay here again.

RRay2233Traveling with kids and elderly parents, we booked two rooms for two nights. At the time of booking, only deluxe rooms were available, and the price wasn't great. The rooms were arranged in a row of three, quite far inside, and a bit small with poor soundproofing, but they were clean. The hotel has its own pier, and the ferry to and from the island is free. Our luggage went directly to the island's front desk, which was very convenient. We were charged a 200 Thai Baht per person island fee at check-in, but it was refunded at check-out, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff, both at the pier and the hotel, were very friendly and helpful. The hotel breakfast was also plentiful. Next time we visit Koh Samet, we'll definitely book a deluxe cottage closer to the beach.

The rooms are big and well equipped with a microwave oven & a set of dining utensils too - unheard of for a hotel room. The gym, pool, sauna are well maintained & popular with guests & locals too. Staff are very helpful with directions, etc. Truly value for money.

GGuest UserThe facilities are great. I stayed here once for New Year's Day and came back for a few more days. The hotel has its own beach, and in the evenings, they offer open-air movies and fire dance performances. They thoughtfully provide both deep and shallow swimming areas, so kids can play safely. The pier is also a unique feature. It's a bit disappointing though that when I came for New Year's, the room included a welcome scarf, and the mini-bar had free snacks and drinks. This time, the room price was significantly higher, and those little extras were gone. However, the overall experience is still excellent, making it perfect for a vacation. P.S. First thing to do when you get to the island: rent a scooter!

We had the resort pretty much to ourselves and have pictures and memories to last a lifetime. My only downside was not enough wine selection. Could be due to lack of guests.

GGuest UserI had an amazing stay at Kira Baya on Koh Samet and would definitely recommend it overall. Ace and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The rooms were exceptionally clean, very well maintained, and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Both breakfast and dinner were enjoyable, with good variety and quality. We also really appreciated having access to the kayak, which added a fun touch to the experience. One thing to note, as others have mentioned, is that the beach in front of the property is quite stoney and could benefit from some cleaning. Additionally, the hotel is located at the far end of the island, so getting around requires some planning. There is a shuttle service available, but it is not included in the stay and not directly provided by the hotel, which is something other hotels tend to handle better. That said, I was able to rent a scooter for 100 THB per hour, which gave me a great opportunity to explore the island independently. Overall, despite a few minor inconveniences, this was a fantastic stay with excellent service, and I would happily return
