Arrived in Ranong is dark. So try to find an inexpensive accommodation. Got a price of a thousand, get room 401 on the 4th floor, there is no elevator here 😆 A lot of things are carried up at midnight. There is a refrigerator between the floors with cold drinking water. Free along the way, lovely room, good size, with a mezzanine floor to sit. Sit and work with power sockets, soft bed, but the pillows are a bit high, there is free wifi, toiletries, coffee machine, kettle, TV, drive, lovely room. Like being monkey, there is a swimming pool, fitness, snacks, orange juice, coffee, banana, Ovaltine for food. In the morning at the lobby, there are deep things for sale as well.

We’re just back from an 8 night stay at Flower Power. What an amazing time we had! Where to start? Simona and Marco welcomed us so warmly that it felt like home. The resort is set in the jungle and the utmost care has been put into ensuring total respect for the surrounding environment. For instance, our bungalow had a ventilation system that ensured the temperature inside was never higher than outside. There was a fan in the ceiling and we never had to use the air conditioning unit. The bungalow was clean and comfortable. Marco has also installed drinking water fountains so that guests can refill their water bottles, thus reducing the amount of plastic being thrown into the environment. The restaurant is just amazing. Not only is the setting open and airy, but the food! You get Italian, Thai and Burmese and all are absolutely delicious! The fresh pasta is made almost daily on site, as is the pizza dough. Now, I am Italian and I can honestly say that the pizza is amazing! You have to try the charcoal pizza base, so crunchy and easy to digest. There is a massage parlour on site and we had massages every day. The two ladies there are so competent that they managed to fix my husband’s sciatica pain and my lower back pain. All the staff at the village were absolutely lovely and were always ready to help. Simona and Marco could not have been more helpful, no request was too much and they happily arranged for our transfers to and from the island. I can honestly say that we arrived as guests and left as friends. We will definitely be back. Thank you everyone.

GGuest UserHaving booked in at what we know know was the wrong hotel for us we gathered our bags and searched for something clean and modern. Up come the Sook, just a couple of blocks away: Clean, modern, sensibly priced and central. The room is just fine for an overnight, which I guess is the USP here for people driving north / south. Decent shower. There are several restaurants just up the road. The breakfast is fine.

BBeritS1234We planned to go to Ko Phayam and found that the hot Springs in Ranong was worth visiting. We selected Raenong Botique Hotel for two nights to enjoy the hot Springs. We were met by very friendly and accommodating hosts, and even if English communication was a challenge, we got all the help and assistance we needed. The room was nice an clean (the hotel is just over a year old and well maintained). A good Thai breakfast was provided and the location is practical, and within walking distance from several restaurants. We can recommend the hotel, and suggest you spend a day in Ranong and look into its surroundings.

AAndrew-2969My wife and I stayed at The Iconic Hotel for 2 nights. We were in Ranong for a diving trip, had to spend one day there before getting on our liveaboard and another day at the end of the trip before flying back to Bangkok. Had no big expectations for this place. We just needed an affordable location to spend the night. It turned out to be the perfect one. Extremely clean rooms, spacious, tall ceilings, modern furniture and bathrooms. HUGE and tasty breakfast. The most service minded staff we met in a long, long while! Try the cashew nuts they sell at the coffee shop near the front desk (by the way, they serve great coffee and tea too...), we bought 5 bags after trying the first one. The hotel is located downtown, within 5 minutes from the night market. Which translates in great street food, fruit, sweets, you name it. Thank you one more time to all the staff for all the help. We'll be probably visiting you again towards the end of this month, Best, Peach Sirikarn and Andrew

GGuest UserThis hotel is on the outskirts of the city and has a lovely courtyard entrance. There is a pleasant swimming pool adjacent to the reception area as well as a great coffee house. The reception staff are very helpful with advice and booking of taxi and tut tut for sight seeing. The superior room is a good size with a comfy bed and a/c The room would benefit from the addition of some drawers, shelves, robe hooks for clothing etc in addition to the wardrobe. The Tv has BBC world news channel The room we had does have a balcony but not a very good view . The bathroom is nicely done but would benefit from a thermostatic valve in the shower. Breakfast has a limited buffet but a comprehensive menu for freshly cooked items There does not appear to be many restaurants within walking distance however we did eat dinner in the hotel restaurant, that was well prepared and presented meal for a very economic price and very pleasant service.

GGuest UserMy partner and I had a blast during our beachfront bungalow stay right before Songkran 2024. The room was clean and had everything we could ask for. We opted for the transfer service from the airport to the pier and then straight to the resort – talk about convenience! ✨⭐️ Our room was spotless upon check-in, and one side of the window faced the ocean, making it a dream to wake up to those stunning views right from our bed. 🌊 Breakfast was a treat! We were offered a choice of freshly made sandwiches or wraps that were absolutely scrumptious. On my last day, I tried the Thai rice boiled soup, and it was a flavor explosion! 🤤 And the highlight? Swimming with plankton at night right off the beach where we stayed. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Just a heads up, this activity requires caution, but it's definitely worth it for the magical glow! ✨🌊

GGuest UserI stayed here one night as part of my 2022 north - south road trip. This is a pretty typical Thai / Asian style budget hotel the likes of which can be found all over the region. It's perfectly suitable for a one night stay but it is not worthy of more than three out of five dots based on a walk-in rate of 690 THB per night. Actually, I was tempted to give it two out of five but the room and bathroom were very clean and the staff was very friendly. There is some (limited) parking for those who self-drive.
