Santander Hotels with Gym

Brand new structure (opened at the end of July 2022) in a suburban area near the busy Santander ring roads. Spacious, colorful and very pleasant common areas, friendly and welcoming staff even if the very young age betrays on occasion the lack of experience. Room not very spacious and rather basic with the idea, as scenic as it is uncomfortable, of the shower in the center of the room and only the toilet in a very small separate space. Going to the bathroom you can experience the same experience as astronauts in a Soyuz. Good soundproofing but occasionally a few sirens are heard. The rest, however, was perfect and the beds were also comfortable. It was difficult to find it despite google: the entrance is in a secondary street where, however, there is no sign; it would be enough to add an indication to signal the entrance. We did three laps (of the ring roads and holy navigator!) Before figuring out where the entrance was. There is also a bus stop just a stone's throw away. Free private parking around and under the structure but I don't know if there is enough space for all guests. Very problematic air conditioning: there are thermostats in the room but they do not work or are not enabled, so the air is managed room x room by a panel at the reception to which we had to ask three times to turn it on, then lower it and finally turn it off x night because noisy and annoying given the small size of the room. Very negative We didn't try the breakfast but all in all it seemed like a good point of reference for a stop & go near the airport where actually there are not many alternatives in Santander while I would not recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Surely the young management has some points for improvement but the structure is of a good standard

Absolutely loved the location of this hotel, room was extremely clean and bed was so comfortable. Staff made you feel very welcome and happy to answer your questions and help you. My husband is vegan and after the first day, realised there was no vegan hot food at breakfast. I mentioned this to Reception and wow did they sort this out. Next morning, he was asked what he would like and they offered him so many choices. His breakfast personally made by the chef was amazing and delicious. Same thing happened the next morning. He ate like a King. He was delighted when the chef came out of the kitchen both mornings, so he could thank her. Excellent Customer Service !!!!

From the outside the hotel doesn’t look like much but the interior more than makes up for it. Welcomed very nicely by staff and was easy to find our room. Room was a great size and lay out and the bed was incredibly comfy. There were always staff available if needed but we didn’t have any problems. The hotel was in a great location and the beaches and restaurant were lovely.

We were here 3 nights for a wedding. I usually take a liking or disliking to a hotel as soon as I enter. Well, i loved it. Its an old classic yet is super comfortable. The location, the spacious rooms and bathrooms, huge beds, with lovely antiques scattered about. Best thing IS THE VIEW FROM THE ROOMS!!!! Stunnnning!!!!! The terrace where you can have a drink or coffee has beautiful views too. The food is good in the cafe downstairs and I thought the breakfasts were very adequate. Everything correct. If i were to nitpick I’d love coffee NOT from a machine in the breakfast restaurant , but from a pot. Beautiful grounds, free parking and close to most things. Would i stay here again, ABSOLUTELY!!! Loved it.

Like many people using the Ferry I've always just ridden off, or got the the queue in time. I decided to have three days here, at the end of my 2000 mile trip. Left Haro and took a detour through Frias/Ona which was fantastic. Ride through the N632 to Santander Beachfront. Got to Hotel, pay up front for room. 3rd Floor, Sea View. Reception excellent Hotel very good, but Bike outside in Moto area for three days. Good breakfast, with a number of sittings. Lots of bars, Beach is brilliant. Mercardo near Surf School. I found bar food average, but others raved about the Seafood. I would stay here again. In fact I might book for September trip.

Excellent hotel couldn’t fault it, emailed the hotel the day before as we had an early flight and arrived at 10 they had a room ready for us, which we didn’t expect we wanted to just freshen up. Rooms are lovely there a nice coffee machine, shampoo condition shower gel hand soap and body lotion in bathroom as well as toothbrush and vanity kits in bathroom, beds were comfy, nice touch was when you open the wardrobe it lights up. Breakfast was excellent with everything you need from fruit to doughnuts yoghurts, cake and a hot selection. The hotel smells amazing they have a diffuser on each landing. The hotel is perfect location if you turn left at the marine you get to The beach and palace turn right and it’s into town. Would definitely return

Fabulous hotel in a great location. Staff were really helpful and welcoming. Nice touches like the Cava at check in and local pastries/ biscuits in the room. We had a double room but only had water/ towels/ biscuits for one person each day…no real problem but not sure why. Lovely pool area too! Would highly recommend.

Having stayed six times at this hotel dating back to 2015 we decided to stay again as we wished to be near Sardinero. We have not experienced any of the issues identified by previous reviewers in any of these visits, in fact quite the opposite, the staff were welcoming and the rooms were in decent shape and always large. The price was high but for the luxury of a senior suite I was prepared to pay over the odds. On arrival we were told that no senior suites were available and we had been upgraded to the Imperial Suite. Sounds good, but here the good news ended Issue 1 the whirlpool bath didn’t work. Reported to reception and was quickly attended by the maintenance man who after breaking the tile to access the motor reset fixed the problem! Issue solved - nope. It lasted 20 minutes and then tripped all the electric. On reporting to reception the switch was reset but no whirlpool bath. Ok, we’re not here for the bath and having been offered a move the next day at 12 noon we decided to stick with the room as otherwise it appeared ok. Issue 2, the air conditioner sounded like a jet engine. It wasn’t so warm anyway so we tolerated this. Issue 3, at around 5 am it became clear there was multiple pigeons roosting in the roof space above the bed therefore couldn’t sleep until they stopped making noise. Should have moved but we are quite tolerant. Issue 4, around noon time the noise from the AC was so load we had to trip the electric breaker to stop it. Again we should have moved. Issue 5, on night 2 we were again awake for a significant period because of the lift continually moving even in the middle of the night. Issue 6, on night 3 again the lift was not moving up and down almost constantly. This seems to be the overnight cleaner moving items to the storeroom, and guess where this is, next to our room 601. I politely asked receptionist to ask the cleaner to stop and she said he was going home now so it would be ok. She couldn’t move us as there were no other rooms available. On approaching the hotel director the next morning she was aware of all the issues even knowing that the lift was noisy and kept people from sleeping. I was offered a free breakfast which I refused purely because there is no soap in the toilets and this is being used by waiters and chefs to prepare and serve food. After much argument I was told they would refund me the last night stay, still not received it though. All bored by now no doubt. This hotel had deteriorated badly in the 7 years we have visited. There are so many easy fixes to make it better but nobody seems to care. Lights don’t work - replace bulbs AC noisy - stop it vibrating Bath doesn’t work - either replace the motor or borrow from another room given the Imperial suite is the best room in the house Lift - get an engineer Noise - stop the cleaner working all night making noise No soap - buy soap The list is endless, we won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else does either. Ou
