Yanji Hotels with Gym

I was very satisfied with my stay at Orange Crystal Hotel this time. The service was excellent from the moment I arrived, and they even offered drinks or coffee during check-in. I was very pleased with the room, and the bathroom facilities were also good. The breakfast was quite extensive, and overall, I think it's a great hotel. It's also very close to the 'Wanghong Bridge' and West Market.

Excellent! The attention to detail really shines through. The whole place was impeccably clean with no strange odors, and all facilities were well-maintained. The overall ambiance was quiet and elegant, and the service was genuine and not pushy. It's truly a top choice for accommodation when traveling.

I booked this room last minute and it was quite late, but the staff still helped with my luggage and even brought snacks and fruit. Breakfast was à la carte, and since there were a lot of people, I got to try a bit of everything, and it was all delicious. Every staff member was incredibly attentive. Upon checkout, each room even received a small gift. The room's cleanliness was also impeccable. Personally, I think that for a guesthouse, both the service and the room facilities and hygiene are on par with a five-star hotel. 👍

The hotel's location is very convenient for both the airport and the high-speed train station, with ride-shares costing around 10 yuan. While ride-hailing apps were a bit tricky, there were plenty of local taxis, which made getting around quite easy. The room came with a smart voice assistant, but it wasn't very smart at all; it couldn't even control the lights. The most frustrating thing was the motion-sensor mirror in the bathroom – it would light up every time you entered. Since the bathroom wall facing the bed was frosted glass, it was easy to be woken up by the light at night. Also, the light under the corridor bench in the room was overly sensitive, turning on with just a slight turn in bed. The TV in the room had a section introducing nearby attractions, but it only showed photos! And just one photo! For a luxury hotel, this is quite disappointing. Now, regarding cleanliness: our child brought their own pillow, so we didn't need the two pillows on the bed. We usually place extra pillows on a chair or tuck them into our open luggage. However, after housekeeping cleaned the room, we found the extra pillows shoved into a corner of the room, directly on the floor. Breakfast was a highlight, offering many local specialties, and you could pretty much sample all the延边 (Yanbian) snacks.

When checking in, the front desk informed me that the two rooms I booked couldn't be on the same floor. I paid 89 for a membership to upgrade the rooms and have them on the same floor. However, that night I found a very large ant on the bed. It was late, so I dealt with it myself. Later, I realized the window wouldn't close, so I called staff to close it for me. Just as I was about to turn off the lights for bed, I found another flying insect, similar to a cockroach, by the bedside. It was truly disgusting and terrifying, but I just endured it and slept. The sink design is also problematic; turn it on low and there's no hot water, turn it on high and water splashes everywhere. Overall, it was quite disappointing.

Facilities: Excellent! The location is super convenient. It's right next to Seomun Market, and only about a 10-minute walk to the Water Market. The famous 'Instagram wall' isn't far either, so you can easily stroll there. There are also well-known restaurants nearby, like Hanjeong Samgyetang (Ginseng Chicken Soup). Hygiene: The room was very clean and tidied frequently. Service: The service was truly outstanding. They would escort us to the elevator when we left, and helped us with getting water. They even gave us frozen pears and frozen persimmons to eat, and the persimmon and frozen pear juices were delicious. Breakfast was also very hearty. I'm genuinely impressed! The room was spacious too. I was traveling with my mom, and they remembered that she likes hot tea and coffee, which was a lovely touch. I was so pleased. We initially only booked for one night, but decided to extend our stay immediately after arriving.

Facilities: The laundry room is excellent, with 3 washers and 3 dryers. It gets busy in the evenings, but the wait isn't too bad. They also provide hand-wash detergent. The laundry room itself is spacious and comfortable. Cleanliness: Clean and comfortable. Ambiance: The front desk and most facilities are on the 14th floor. It's a large area and looks quite new. The rooms are also spacious enough, making it quite good for an economy chain hotel, though the price is a bit higher. Service: I only experienced service when interacting with the front desk, and it was just average, to be honest. The reception staff felt a bit cold.

The hotel is basically in the city center. One end of the street leads to Yanbian Hospital, and the other to Yanbian Department Store. It's quite close to the 'internet-famous' wall, Zhenhaibei Seafood, Jeonju Bibimbap, and Eunpyeong something cold noodles (didn't try that one). It's a chain budget hotel, so generally, you can't go wrong. Apologies, I don't have any hotel photos. Breakfast is good value for money.

We were supposed to check in at 2 PM, but didn't arrive until almost 3 PM. The man at the front desk still made us wait to check in, claiming previous guests checked out late due to their travel plans. How is that relevant to us, the next guests? He then added that besides this one room, all that was left were windowless rooms. It was an unpleasant experience even before checking in. This chain hotel's service is worse than a B&B! The room didn't match the photos at all; it was completely misleading. However, the cleaning lady was very nice and resolved issues promptly. Other than the good location, everything else felt pretty mediocre, and the breakfast was very basic.

This is my third stay here, and I always choose this hotel whenever I'm in town – it's become a habit. The front desk staff recognize me now; they greet me as soon as I arrive. The room is as usual, clean and tidy, no complaints. This time I noticed they've replaced the corridor carpets with new ones, and the hairdryer in the room has been upgraded to a much better one. They're consistently improving the small details. All in all, it's comfortable, hassle-free, and you can't go wrong here. I'd give it a good review just for the familiarity alone.
