Hotels in South of Pearl River, Guangzhou

I have to admit that the hotel is very convenient, as it’s located very close to Nanzhou metro station. The room I stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Unfortunately, China has yet to implement a no-smoking law for hotels, and many of the rooms in this property are designated for smokers. Although my room was spotless and odor-free, the corridors often smelled of cigarette smoke due to other guests leaving their doors open for reasons I couldn’t understand. While this is allowed in China and not necessarily a fault of the hotel, I do hope regulations will change soon. As for the room, I did have some concerns about the soundproofing—traffic noise and construction sounds from a building site across the street were quite noticeable. One important point to mention: I didn’t find any staff at the reception who spoke English. While it’s true that today we have many tools for real-time translation, I believe that in a modern hotel catering to international guests, having at least one English-speaking staff member at the front desk should be a basic requirement. It’s essential for getting local advice on restaurants, amenities, directions, and more. Another small note from a European perspective: breakfast was entirely traditional Cantonese, with no international options available—only some fruit. Also, the food items were not labeled in any other language, which might be confusing for some guests. Overall, my experience was very positive, and I believe this hotel has great potential for improvement in the future. Would I stay here again? Yes.

I had a wonderful stay at Guangzhou Lingyue Hotel. The customer service was exceptional, especially from the front desk. A special mention to Xiaoxiao at reception for her friendliness and professionalism. I would like to give special thanks to Ms. Ling for her outstanding assistance and organization of the shuttle transportation to and from the Canton Fair. She was always available on WeChat, keeping everyone updated and offering help whenever needed — truly excellent service! The rooms are large, spotless, and very comfortable. Many thanks to the friendly and smiling housekeeping staff who kept everything perfectly clean and welcoming every day. I highly recommend Guangzhou Lingyue Hotel to anyone visiting Guangzhou for business or attending the Canton Fair. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip!

I stayed here for over a week and it truly felt like a home away from home. The apartment was spotlessly clean, located in a nice complex, and only a short walk from the subway — making it easy to get to Guangzhou South Station, the airport, and anywhere in the city. The staff were very friendly and cleaned the room daily. The bed was really comfortable and the TV was huge! If you’re visiting Guangzhou, this is the place to stay. Just note if you do stay here the entrance is a little hard to find, come out of exit day walk forward and left ish to the coffee shop then go up the stairs and head to the building.

Although the room is a little small, the advantage is that it is affordable, it is very convenient to go out and play, and it is close to the scenic spots. At night, you can go for a walk by the Pearl River to see the night view of the Pearl River. The laundry room on the second floor is equipped with a dryer and ironing machine, which is very convenient for drying clothes and ironing. The room is clean, and the bathroom is dry and wet, and there are partition curtains. I like this very much. Xiao Ting has a good service attitude and gives a free room upgrade, which is a very happy stay experience.

The Hotel is old and not maintained properly. The rooms are big and spacious. When checked in, the electric kettle was not working. The bathtub was not working. If you call or message room service they take upto 1 hour to even deliver clean tea cups. I have stayed at other Osotto properties, but this was ranked last as per my views...

It was a very good experience during our stay. All the staff are very helpful and polite, particularly the male receptionist, the cleaning lady Ms Law on the 6th floor and all the staff in the restaurant. There is a variety of Western and Chinese food for breakfast. The room and laundry rooms are clean and well equipped. This is our second time to stay here and we will come back again. The location is close to the GZ metro and convenient for exploring local food and discovering ways of local living.

The hotel is located at Exit E of Jiangnanxi Subway Station, just a few minutes' walk away. I brought my children with me, and they were very happy and said they wanted to come again next time. The front desk clerk took the initiative to help with the luggage, which deserves a good review. The room facilities are also full of details. There are many places to eat, play and visit nearby, which is suitable for taking a short rest in the room and then taking a walk. The key to this type of hotel is the price. I originally booked the cheapest one nearby and planned to make do because I had to catch a flight, but I felt that the environment and service were particularly high-quality and were not inferior to high-priced hotels. It was also very humane. The money spent was well worth it.

Excellent location and the room was spacious. It's my regular place of stay when visiting Guangzhou. But I must say it's also the most disappointing stay out of like almost ten stays here. Two dear cockroaches in the room when first entered. There were many dusts on the window side. This room, 811 has a very poorly finished parting between the bathroom and the sleeping area . A big gap means water might go through and dropping on the bed. I suspect the room hasn't been occupied for a while and the housekeeping wasn't attentive before my stay. I will avoid this room next time .

i have stay at this hotel for more than 4 times and my coming trip which i have booked again . location is great , lots of interesting eateries , malls and big supermart .hotel service staffs also very helpful . going to the exhibition centre in pazhou is also not far ( by MRt or by Taxi ) . pricing is of course good .

The hotel boasts a convenient location, close to both the Pearl River promenade and Canton Tower. Getting around is easy with convenient transportation options, and the underground parking garage is a definite plus. You'll also find a wide array of dining and shopping options right nearby. The rooms themselves are new and well-appointed. Customer service was excellent, with staff being both attentive and patient. The only minor downside might be that the room size is a little compact, but a standard room is still perfectly sufficient for a family of three.
