We were a large group of 20 and it was better than expected given the number of stars and the rather negative reviews. Overall, all our rooms were ok, the amenities were adequate and the rooms were not too old. The noise from the street was acceptable but not too disturbing. Communication with the staff was facilitated with a translation device. Breakfast was a simple meal coupon. There were two restaurants in the train station, one next to the hotel, and the best part of this hotel is its location, right in the train station, making it ideal for those travelling by Metro, with plenty of restaurants and shops in the station.

There are no facilities per se other than self-service laundry but that will not stop me from returning. This is no fancy hotel but does provide clean beds and sheets right at the GZ east rail station which co-locates the GZ east MRT station so this is a super convenient location. Popark Shopping Plaza 东方宝泰购物广场 here also has fantastic restaurants and a supermarket. This is one MRT stop away from 天河城.
