They refused to change the room type to a twin, and refused to approve my changes. They tried to profit from the difference in the price of an upgrade. The room type I'd booked was a king-size bed, but since they could make a reservation and the room was available, why wouldn't they allow the change? They're just going to give me a single bed if I didn't make a reservation. They also refused to accept the "non-cancellable" upgrade even after asking for a five-star review. They were just being overbearing, using the "no cancellations" rule as a pretext. When I went to the front desk, they told me I couldn't cancel and book again. Were they afraid I'd cancel for free and then run away? The toilet wouldn't flush, and I had to reach into the toilet to press the flush button. As a hotelier myself, I'm not without their concerns.
