"Great Value and Location, But Facilities Could be Better Stay Dates: November 14 - November 17, 2025 Room Type: Double Room High Floor My recent three-night stay at the Tune Hotel Georgetown Penang was a positive experience overall, primarily due to its unbeatable location and excellent value. The Location (5/5) truly is the highlight of this hotel. Being situated in Georgetown made exploring the city's main attractions, heritage sites, and famous hawker food spots incredibly convenient. If proximity to the heart of Penang is your priority, this hotel delivers perfectly. The Ondo Bakery across the street was my absolute favorite to visit daily! The Cleanliness (4/5) and Service (4/5) were both solid and up to standard. The room was kept clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly during check-in and throughout my stay, providing good, reliable service. The area where the hotel falls a little short is the Facilities (3/5 - Okay). While the room provided the basics needed for a comfortable stay—a comfortable bed and a reliable air conditioning unit—the overall facilities felt quite basic. This is typical of a budget-focused hotel, but those expecting extensive amenities might be disappointed. For a short stay where you plan to be out exploring all day, however, the facilities are perfectly adequate. In summary, the Tune Hotel Georgetown Penang is an excellent choice for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize location above all else. It offers a clean room and good service in a fantastic spot. If the hotel were to upgrade some of its amenities, it would easily earn a five-star rating from me."

"Everything good. Great location and very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the bed is extremely comfortable. Poor soundproofing—can hear neighbors talking, snoring, and showering. Seriously affected my sleep."

"The hotel location isn’t that great but it’s still within the city area. Front desk service is good. We book just for a night to try out and see if we can book again the next round but the experience wasn’t that good and will give this hotel a missed next time. We’re given a no window in the middle of the hotel room with not much space and not much amenities and no slippers for within the room use. We won’t know if there’s a fire broke out when the alarm or the water sprinkler malfunction. The rack in the toilet was directly above the toilet seat even when there’s ample space to place in the toilet as it was spacious inside. Too little hanger and place to hang for a family room."

"Hotel room js clean and friendly reception as well as security guard. I was very tired coming down from Hatyai (flood zone). The staff allow me to check in earlier. Appreciate that. Bed is comfortable and ac is cold. The only negative part is the Ac is quite noisy when it’s at night. Drumming sound from the aircon vent. Many eateries nearby also 2 shopping (Gama and 1st Avenue) are nearby Overall is a comfortable hotel to stay."

"We booked Chulia Herritage hotel for a 4 days 3 nights stay via Trip.com. We paid RM709.08 for 2 standard double rooms. We parked our car just infront of our room. We checked in and paid cash of RM12 for tax and another cash of RM100x2room or RM200 as deposit. We got our key card and our room just next to the entrance numbering 122 and 123. Room. We felt that the bed was firm but good enought to support our body also there were 4 pillows on the bed. We were so surprise that Milo 3 in 1 was provided in the room on top of Nescafe and tea begs. There was 2 electricy socket outside the toilet and one beside the window sofa chair. There was 2 sabun name MAY on the basin in the toilet and no toothbrush was provided. I feel happy to stay in this hotel even though sometimes got mosquito attack sometimes. Morning time, we checked to Red note or Google search and found somethings for stomach and we walked to the nearby Pasar or Market in the morning for white coffee and also the Island problem resaurant Japanese fish roe rice not bad for dinner even though not cheap."

"Nice cozy rooms but rather small. The Cafe is not operational. Reception at 2nd floor with helpful staff. Limited car park. Have to park at public parking at surrounding area. Just opposite the famous Kompleks Makanan Padang Brown (pronounced as ”Padang Broom”) where you can savour local delicacies."

"Excellent location, walking distance to all tourist attractions and the CAT bus stops are just 5mins walk. The hotel has a traditional Chinese atmosphere,. A small swimming pool. The staff is helpful. One senior staff sounds n look fierce n not friendsly. Room, toilet n bathroom are clean. Water Dispenser is hidden in a living room (for dormitory guesses) no coffee or tea bag provided."
