George Town Hotels with Bars

The hotel is very old located in the center of George Twon closer to seaside. I have booked family room. Space and lay out is ok but 2 issues, 1 the inner parents room has a large empty space by the window (seaview the say but hardly seeing tho) we were puzzled why no pair of sofa chairs with a tea table, what is this space for? Super odd... 2 the connecting door for two rooms doesn't close well, not saying the lock doesn't work, no no, the door can't even able to be fully shut. Services is almost zero. Don't count on it. All in all besides the location and fact has family room options, I don't have anything else to write home about this hotel. Oh and the sound proof is zero too, not saying between our 2 rooms. I basically had bad sleep whole 4 nights stay cos outside in the hall almost never stopped having doors open/shutting and people loudly talking/walking by noises... Won't book again.

Room : - clean - near lift - have a beautiful view - location good - near hospital (just walk in minutes) - staff service excellent

I recently stayed at The Granite Luxury Hotel and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected from a luxury hotel. Upon arrival, I noticed several issues in my room: - The bathroom light was flickering non-stop, making it uncomfortable to use. - There was visible mold and unidentified stains in the bathroom, which raised serious hygiene concerns. - The clothing rack was rusted and looked like it hadn’t been maintained in years. - Inside the cabinet, I found broken pieces, which was both inconvenient and disappointing. I reported these issues to the front desk late at night. For a hotel that claims to offer luxury accommodations, the lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and responsiveness was unacceptable. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and improves their standards to ensure a better experience for future guests.

My first trip to Penang after more than 10 years and staying at Cititel was a great choice. The hotel lobby is nice, big and smells good. Front desk officers, the porters, the staff at the restaurant, the male and female masseuse (my husband and I had a syok foot and shoulder massage) at the City Spa and even the aunty at the hotel's convenient shop were very friendly, helpful and pleasant! The breakfast spread was also great! The location of the hotel was within walking distance to good makan places and convenient shops! The room is big enough with a comfortable king bed and pillows. The seaview was awesome. The only downside is the soundproofing of the room. I heard weird noises late at night.

Public transport also easy to access since it was near to Komtar Overall: St. Giles Wembley Penang offers fantastic value for money with its top-notch service, modern facilities, and central location. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, this hotel is a solid choice for your stay in Penang.

1. Easy and fast check in 2. Place was very clean and warm welcomed by the staff 3. My room was good. Came with 2 breakfast 4. Breakfast was good. The food was a lot of Choice. Add on for Rm20 per head. Children below 5 years was free. 5. The swimming pool also good. Not too wide..but it was fun. 6. Parking at basement of hotel, before out, go to reception for stamping. 7. Overall was good.

A stylish and classy hotel, strategically located near Little India, art area, food museum, all are a few minutes away. The jetty is about a 15 minute walk. However as a solo female traveller, all the adjacent streets are dark and quiet so didn’t feel comfortable walking around after 21:00. Room was cosy and nicely designed, bed was comfortable, and the free mini bar and sweets left in the jar daily was a lovely touch. Breakfast was ok, but the in-room food service was excellent and meals were fantastic. The room also has a water filter, saves buying bottled water. All staff were pleasant and helpful. The views from the rooftop pool are great, albeit the pool is on the smaller size. Enjoyed my three nights and would recommend the hotel.

Really love the location of this hotel as it is walkable distance to all the tourist spot such penang art street, esplanade etc. Also nearby to most of the restaurant, cafes, 24 hours mart etc. The room is spacious and also love the rooftop of the hotel as you can see the view of georgetown.

Great hotel for close proximity to Malls, FoodStreet, Beach Coast walks etc. It has very couteous n professiinal customer service with a kindest smile that warms your hearts each time you past them by. Aboveall, rooms and amenities are well design, fresh and clean too. Such a comfortable outstanding place to welcome every guest. This is my second time here. There is so much creativity in their food offerings in and buffets specials every weekend too. Its really a go to hotel with reasonable pricing of a 4 star hotel. I will be back the next visit to penang.

I stayed at Kim Haus for 2 nights and it was a pleasant stay. I didn't expect much, so i find it great when the staffs being nice and friendly The location is great, many food stalls and convenient stores. I walk 10 mins to get Nasi Kandar imigresen, and 4 mins walk to get the bus stop to get you everywhere. Even if i use Grab Car , the hostel is easy to be found. The thing that they need to improve is probably the room. It's actually clean, but since the room has no window, the chance for mold and fungus to grow is high. My nose is sensitive, even if the aircon is on, I can sense the smell of mold. Also need to improve the floor of the bathroom, water couldn't get into the sewerage because of uneven floor. That's it.
