Ascott Hotels in George Town

Had a wonderful experience yet again at Ascott. We'll appointed rooms, lovely infinity pool and great accessibility make this a good choice. Above and beyond everything else, the service from Mr Yau was immaculate. Felt like a home away from home. Thank you Mr Yau!

It’s our first time staying here with 9yo child. We were given Block B room. Felt welcome by all staffs, always greet us with smile. Clear & helpful communication. Love the free coffee & simple snack service at the comfortable lobby. Swimming pool is acceptable at block B, could be better if there is someone to watch over as there were some tourist allow their child to go naked in the pool(not sure they pee inside or not). Love the free clean water dispenser service available near the lift. Although Breakfast could be better (omelette doesn’t taste nice), there are some dirty stains in certain parts of the toilet, overall our stay was comfortable & satisfied. Location wise is also consider convenient to many walking distance places, there’s a tourist map available for free at the reception, very helpful & thoughtful. Definitely will consider staying here again in future.

George Hotel is very good and exellcent hotel with welcome drinks. Family room with balcony and free of charge snacks and drinks. Good location for shopping and near restaurant. clean swimming pool and yummy breakfast buffet. very happy living with George hotel.

Booked a 2 bedroom and we love how spacious it is and the modern look of it. The location of the property is very good with plenty of popular eateries within walking distance. The only downside is there is no parking in the hotel property. Parking is by the road side using the the Penang parking app but can be difficult to find a lot.

Big thanks to the front desk staff… absolutely amazing. Location is great, close to 1st Avenue mall and all local attractions. The room is new however some sign of water leak underneath the laminate floors other than that everything is new. Washing machine and dryer was pretty handy

The hotel is so cute. The door is at level 1, but the rooms is at level 2. So when you enter the door, you need to go upstairs and you will see the living room. The bed rooms is on the 2 sides, separated by the living room. The window on the main bed room is so unique and feels like classic. I never seen this before. This hotel location is also the best, at least for my trip. It's near to the kimberley street. A lot of cafe and tourist spot close to this hotel (walking distance).

A nice and clean Appartment in a central Location. You can reach everything you need with a few Minutes walk. Helpful Staff as well. Opposite is a Food Stall which plays Loud Music until Midnight, with a baby sometimes annoying. Otherwise a good Option. The Bakery nearby is a must try.

First, it was so noisy at night that I couldn't sleep at all. There was music and singing outside, and then the sound of motorcycles in the morning made me speechless. Second, there is no sunlight and no ventilation in the living room, and there is serious water leakage next to the toilet seat. Third, the service attitude is extremely bad. You need to pay 224 MYR when you arrive at the store. You don’t have enough cash, and 10 MYR is missing. I said to get it and give it to her, but she said no. Throwing me away, she went back by herself on a motorcycle. It was really funny. I thought she had something to do, but she also went back to the room. I walked back on a hot day. I stayed for two days and wanted to continue. I asked How much is she, she told me 788 a day, now all platforms do not have such a high price, I think she is defrauding me, quote at will, and I will post the price of other platforms for three days later, you will know how big the gap is, she belongs to deceive consumers

It was the best place to stay. There was a simple kitchen, microwave, kettle, washer/dryer, and family refrigerator. In addition, there was everything we needed. It was spacious enough for my one-year-old to run around, so he didn't get bored even when it was raining and we couldn't go out. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so it's not a problem even if you don't eat. They clean the room every day, so it was a comfortable stay. As long as you remember to check in (WA 15 minutes before arrival), it's comfortable. I would like to stay at this place again when I come to George Town. I recommend it.

The Magazine Vista Hotel in Penang is more cost-effective. When choosing this hotel, I consulted for a long time, such as booking (more reviews, good or bad), Ctrip (only a simple review). The location of the apartment is very good. On the left is the GAMA supermarket, and on the right is the landmark of Everbright. Fruits and snacks have their own favorites! Call the front desk before arriving at the hotel, because the front desk is not here, so call in advance and the hotel will send staff to wait at the door. When you call, you need to speak English. There is a Chinese-speaking waiter. India borrowed ”Di Li” (transliteration)-Figure 6 this one. If you call him, you will have no difficulty in communication. He will come to collect a tax of MYR 10 per night, introduce room facilities, and even help you set up a taxi app on your phone. The network is poor and it can't be connected for a few days, so it is important to buy a local phone card. On the second floor facing the street, the noise of motorcycles on the street is loud, which will affect the rest. These problems are not big, this hotel is worth recommending.
