Ascott Hotels in George Town

This hotel has a great location, convenient transportation, and complete surrounding facilities. The room is spacious and bright, the design is modern and simple, and the details are full of taste. The overall cost performance is super high, highly recommended!

citadines georgetown was wonderful, my partner and i enjoyed our stay there for sure. it was near your usual tourist areas like armenian street etc and had lots of food/massage parlour nearby. checking in & out was smooth and they even managed to assist with my request of decorating the room for our anniversary (do note that a small fee is required). will definitely come back again when we're back in penang.

We encountered a cockroach crawling across the room upon entering, which was quite off-putting. Since we checked in late, we decided not to change rooms, as the alternative offered was farther away and less convenient for our children. Additionally, the shower room wall had visible mold, as shown in the photo. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the hotel’s central location made it easy to reach various places affordably via Grab. However, for a 5-star hotel, hygiene issues like this should not be a concern.

The hotel is located in the center of George Town. You can walk to Dim Sum House for morning tea. There is no parking space and the room is slightly small. There is a washing machine and dryer, which is very convenient and suitable for family travel.

Most TV channels not working….. The shampoo and body shampoo bottles are so tall that fit the hole just right……imagine how you need to squeeze your hand in to press the shampoo (see attached photo) However, must say that the tiny metal rack on top of the basin is one of the best simple designs I have ever seen…….gives you ample space to store your toiletries real tidy without getting wet!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 The friendly and attentive doorman from Nepal added wonderful feeling whenever you get in and out of the hotel 👍🏼

The hotel is so cute. The door is at level 1, but the rooms is at level 2. So when you enter the door, you need to go upstairs and you will see the living room. The bed rooms is on the 2 sides, separated by the living room. The window on the main bed room is so unique and feels like classic. I never seen this before. This hotel location is also the best, at least for my trip. It's near to the kimberley street. A lot of cafe and tourist spot close to this hotel (walking distance).

First, it was so noisy at night that I couldn't sleep at all. There was music and singing outside, and then the sound of motorcycles in the morning made me speechless. Second, there is no sunlight and no ventilation in the living room, and there is serious water leakage next to the toilet seat. Third, the service attitude is extremely bad. You need to pay 224 MYR when you arrive at the store. You don’t have enough cash, and 10 MYR is missing. I said to get it and give it to her, but she said no. Throwing me away, she went back by herself on a motorcycle. It was really funny. I thought she had something to do, but she also went back to the room. I walked back on a hot day. I stayed for two days and wanted to continue. I asked How much is she, she told me 788 a day, now all platforms do not have such a high price, I think she is defrauding me, quote at will, and I will post the price of other platforms for three days later, you will know how big the gap is, she belongs to deceive consumers

Great location! Lotsa great food down the streets and it is just a stone throw away! The hotel reception Irfan checked us in. He was nice, humble and pleasant. Same goes to the rest of the reception and housekeeping staff. Clean, doesn’t have any funny smell including the fridge and washing machine. Water pressure is good too!!! Overall, we had a great 5 nights stay at this hotel. 👍🏼

The Magazine Vista Hotel in Penang is more cost-effective. When choosing this hotel, I consulted for a long time, such as booking (more reviews, good or bad), Ctrip (only a simple review). Because it only opened in 2018, the hardware is very new, and the hygiene is good. I especially like to have a washing machine, but I have to find a place to dry the clothes indoors. The location of the apartment is very good. On the left is the GAMA supermarket, and on the right is the landmark of Everbright. Fruits and snacks have their own favorites! Call the front desk before arriving at the hotel, because the front desk is not here, so call in advance and the hotel will send staff to wait at the door. When you call, you need to speak English. There is a Chinese-speaking waiter. India borrowed ”Di Li” (transliteration)-Figure 6 this one. If you call him, you will have no difficulty in communication. He will come to collect a tax of MYR 10 per night, introduce room facilities, and even help you set up a taxi app on your phone. The network is poor and it can't be connected for a few days, so it is important to buy a local phone card. On the second floor facing the street, the noise of motorcycles on the street is loud, which will affect the rest. These problems are not big, this hotel is worth recommending.

It was the best place to stay. There was a simple kitchen, microwave, kettle, washer/dryer, and family refrigerator. In addition, there was everything we needed. It was spacious enough for my one-year-old to run around, so he didn't get bored even when it was raining and we couldn't go out. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, so it's not a problem even if you don't eat. They clean the room every day, so it was a comfortable stay. As long as you remember to check in (WA 15 minutes before arrival), it's comfortable. I would like to stay at this place again when I come to George Town. I recommend it.
