Pros: A relatively newer hotel compared to the other hotels in Genting. Quite friendly hotel staff. Luggage can be opened up and stored under the beds Cons: The actual room seems smaller than what they appear on the photos. Need to walk around 10 mins from hotel rooms (even further for those staying at valley wings) to sky avenue for dining, shopping etc as the location is a bit far. Just a curtain separating the room from the bathroom area, though there are individual glass doors that can be locked in the shower and toilet cubicles so might be an issue if travelling with friends. Housekeeping needs to ensure equipment such as hair dryer etc in good condition as the one in our room has melted plastic part.

The location of First World Hotel is unbeatable, with easy access to Genting’s main attractions. However, the long check-in process was a bit frustrating. If you’re patient and prioritize convenience, it’s a decent option for a short stay.

While there were some initial hiccups during the check-in process, your team’s attentiveness and professionalism more than made up for it, ensuring our stay was both comfortable and enjoyable. A Promising Stay at the New Wyndham Ion Majestic Recently had the opportunity to stay at the newly developing Wyndham Ion Majestic, and it was a delightful experience. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean, featuring a modern bathroom with an excellent shower. The water pressure is strong, making for a refreshing and enjoyable experience. One of the highlights is the breathtaking view—you can see the entire Genting Highlands from the property, which is especially magical at sunrise or sunset. The hotel offers impressive facilities, including a well-equipped gym, a heated pool, and a children’s theme pool, perfect for families. For those seeking relaxation, the Areoma spa provides excellent massages that are worth trying. Dining options are fantastic. The breakfast spread is extensive, catering to a variety of tastes. There’s also a pizza restaurant on-site, where pizzas are freshly made to order—a must-try for food lovers. For a fun evening, the lobby features a drinking place where guests can enjoy drinks and karaoke. Additionally, a paid shuttle bus service is available to the First World Bus Terminal, making transportation convenient. Overall, Wyndham Ion Majestic shows great potential with its excellent facilities and stunning location. It’s shaping up to be a top-notch destination in Genting Highlands. Looking forward to the full functionality of the hotel with the highest Hard Rock Cafe in the region.

This is a new building (M3) under Ion Majestic. The rooms are clean and spacious but not yet fully furnished. However, the strong smell of renovation is noticeable throughout, and the hotel lobby toilet has an unpleasant odor. Additionally, the water flow in the room toilet is slow. Overall, it’s a decent hotel. There is a shuttle bus service to the theme park at hourly intervals, but it needs to be booked and paid for separately for each trip. I suggest reconsidering the 5-star rating, as the hotel does not yet meet that standard.

Misleading! Be careful with their packages. We booked a package stay which is over RM100 more than room only as it included breakfast for two. In the details section it clearly stated ”breakfast for two” under dining and ALSO INCLUDED ”grab and go at cheeky grind”. when we arrived the hotel told us we are only entitled to grab and go NOT buffet breakfast. The grab and go is a set meal with limited choices for drinks and a pastry or a sandwich (which was bland btw). SO NOT WORTH IT. Other people staying who took the package was mislead too. The manager was not helpful. He told us to contact trip. No compensation whatsoever, didn't try to help us except send an email. Customer service won't help you. Trip customer service will go around in circles but won't help either. Overall customer service sucks. Location is ok. One of the nicer hotels in genting. We got level 24, we were surrounded by clouds which is nice. Superior deluxe gets us two huge double beds. Suitable for couples with toddlers. If not for the breakfast issue everything else was ok. I would recommend getting room only then paying for breakfast when u get there.

The hotel is clean, front desk staff service is good, however, toilet in the room without door lock is not convenience for family room of 4. The location a bit far from town, nothing around the hotel. Only suitable for people who drive to stay here

The only thing i would like to complaint is about their service. Please note i have been here before a couple of times. When i booked the same room as before, this time I have received a different room. I had to go all the way down to the lobby to solve this. I argued with a staff because i knew the room type as i have stayed before. The staff repeatedly said ”sorry maam, we are fully booked.” Classic reply from a receptionist. Then, a staff name Umi came and settle my issue in less than a minute. She looked backed into the records to find my last stay details. She then proceeded to give me the key card. Whats so difficult? Why are they trying to scam us by giving a smaller room? The next issue is regarding breakfast meal. Since i have booked without a breakfast, i then proceed at the counter to purchase breakfast. The staff told me to go up on level 5 to straight purchase at the restaurant. I went and i found they have increased the price and push the price for RM20 extra. I inquired and asked why is it so pricey than before. The staff told me about some quota system and he told me to go to lobby if i wanted cheaper. I was confused why would they sell a different price for in house guest for the same breakfast meal. I went down again n argued n they told me the same thing, after i showed the previous price and they agreed for me to pay the right amount. Imagine the hassle i have to go through because of their poor service. P/s: thanks to Ms Umi for dealing with the issue in less than a minute.

My room B3205 overall good condition but floor very dusty when we enter the room. Further more, provide an instruction for the lift since multiple Guest have trouble to access their coresponding floor.

The resort looks neat and beautiful where is surrounded by vegetation. When the first time we drive to this resort, we were scared of where is quite an outskirt location. But not too bad is not that deep into drive-in is just about 5 min from that small little town. In fact, is a really convenient location which near to those shops from the little town They take the SOP seriously where they did maintain the social distancing, scan our My Sejahtera apps, and provide us the hand sanitizer. We were greeted by the guard who are very friendly and dedicated. The room in GRV was the great one, very huge like a suite room with wide space, beautiful view and the shower heater was working perfectly with high pressure. The receptionist by the name of Fazila (who work in this property for 3 years plus) who handle our check-in and check-out process was efficient with a courtesy maner and helpful. We will never forget of Fazila's hospitality that she demonstrated. Keep up the good work Fazila and her team.
