Lake Matheson Motel - Photo Gallery

The room is quite big and clean overall. There is a kitchen dining table! You can take pictures of the Milky Way directly outside the room at night! The front desk staff is very nice and helped me book a hike on the Fox Glacier! This is the back door entrance to the hotel. I didn't take a picture of the room.

The surroundings are quiet. There is a small kitchen for cooking. It is very close to Lake Matheson and you can see the snow-capped mountains. It would be perfect if the hygiene could be better The price is relatively high and you need to pay to use the public laundry.

The facilities in the room are average and old. It is very convenient to go to Lake Matheson and the glacier, but unfortunately the weather was bad, so I couldn't see the reflection of the lake or the glacier clearly.

Motels are very common in New Zealand. The car comes directly to the door of the room, which is very convenient. Very clean two bedrooms and one living room. I had a pleasant night with my friends in the small town of Fox Glacier.

It was an accommodation with friendly staff and a view of the constellations. Additionally, there was a mini kitchen so I was able to cook simple dishes!

When we arrived, the receptionist was out, so our order was posted on the glass outside. We looked at the name and found the room number and went directly to the room. The key was hanging on the keyhole at the door. The room was well-equipped, but we were too lazy to cook, so we found a popular restaurant 100 meters away from us.

The hotel is located near Fox Glacier. We wanted to see glaciers, so we chose this hotel. The hotel is a bungalow type. In addition to the left bed, there is a small kitchen with a microwave and some simple cooking utensils for cooking, which is very convenient. Since it was winter when we checked in, the bed also had electric felt, which made it feel warm while sleeping. There is a parking space outside each room for easy parking. This is very important because New Zealand is so big that we chose to travel by car. In addition, the hotel has a helicopter glacier viewing reservation, and we all chose this project.
