I reserved a suite on April 21 of this year for a one night stay on July 21. When my fiance and I arrived the hotel couldn't find the reservation and informed me that they were fully booked. I found the confirmation email 2 hours later and contacted the hotel at which time I was informed that I had actually booked the room for the same night that I made the reservation and that I had "no showed." It took me 3 phone calls to get the name of the general manager, Joel Root, who didn't return my messages until I filed a dispute with American Express. He expressed no empathy and offered no credit or refund. The staff were repeatedly rude to me on the phone. I believe the problem was caused by the hotel's booking software glitched and reset the date while I was evaluating which room to book. I pointed out to Mr. Root that my reservation was made at 6pm on a Friday in April using a credit card from California. While they sent a confirmation that I admit I did not read carefully enough, I never got an email asking about my stay or inquiring as to whether I had intended to book for the same night. If they had reached out back in April it would have been easy to resolve. The hotel's website states that "Hospitality means taking care of people, ensuring that all people feel welcome, respected and safe." Total BS

Marche is a place where I’ve dined and was satisfied in the past. I was on a birthday trip and decided to treat myself. I couldn’t have been more disappointed. I had a wilted green salad, was very UN-impressed with the cucumber-watermelon soup, and the stale bread I sent back 3 times and finally gave up. Service was lousy. I’ll never go back to this overrated and overpriced establishment.

This hotel has the boutique hotel feeling and service nailed down. Great location with many amenities. Walking distance to local restaurants and attractions. Highly recommend!

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and have always found it to be excellent. The rooms are comfortable and well kept up. While on this visit, the woman at the reception desk was not friendly, this was unusual. As always, the car valets were nice and helpful. And the location of the hotel near the French restaurant Marché is a plus.

I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel looked as good in person as it did on the website, and the amenities exceeded our expectations. Even though the snacks and drinks were simple (e.g., granola bars, waters, sodas, apples), they were accessible and free of charge which is very much appreciated when you pay a premium for the nice accommodations. We are thinking of returning to the Inn at the 5th or possibly trying the Gordon Hotel next time, because our son is in college there and the location is convenient to campus. The little area is very nice and we were able to walk to restaurants, ice cream, etc. nearby.

From the valet greeting to front desk and the housekeeping staff, everyone excelled at their work at making every guest feel comfortable and at home. Truly a wonderful upgrade to the typical travel experience. I highly recommend this for the traveler who enjoys all the comforts of home while away.

We give this hotel our highest rating. Our flight was canceled and we arrived a day late for our 8 day stay. The hotel allowed us to extend our reservation to make up for the lost day, and allowed us to stay in the same room even though it seemed to be fully booked. We interacted and swapped stories over the days with 8 different staff members and management. They are, to the last person, efficient, caring, and eager to please individuals. The hotel is impeccable and offers special free treats such as apples, sodas, water, cookies, and a variety of granola type breakfast bars; plus free fast internet! Our room was clean, comfortable, with excellent bedding, a fireplace, Kuerig coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, and balcony with great view. We made daily trips visiting the Pacific Ocean at Florence, Oregon, the Columbia River Valley, Crater Lake, a variety of waterfalls near Sisters and the McKenzie River Valley. We visited Kings Estate Vineyards for a wonderful lunch and we took the time to shop the Saturday market in Eugene. The hotel serves as a great centralized location for venturing to these destinations, and we will stay here again!

Wonderful stay, room was quiet, 4th floor, staff was great. Bathroom was large. Within walking distance of the Eugene Amtrak Station, 5th Street Market, a yarn store, bookstore, coffee shops, Morning Glory, Spaghetti Factory and Yumms. The Garden Plaza at the hotel is wonderful and has easy access to the nearby food court.
