Very considerate and attentive. Because we didn't arrive at the hotel until 12:30 at night, the boss had already arranged the reception and prepared the wake-up service for the next morning. The next morning, when I came down from the Golden Summit, I saw the picturesque floor-to-ceiling windows, which was very beautiful and comfortable! I slept well for an hour and quickly recovered my strength. The room was clean and tidy and very comfortable. A very good experience, worth recommending 👍👍👍.

GGuest UserI wish to do a fair review of my B&B stay at Emeishan. Service was spectacular. 1) The hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off services from Emeishan Station (not to be confused with Emei Station), about 7-8 mins drive from the hotel. I communicated via WeChat which trains I would be on and let them know that my 1st train arrival was actually so that I could drop off my large suitcase at their place, before going backwards to Leshan for half a day, and then returning to Emeishan in the evening. Not only did they agree to send someone to the train station to pick-up, they agreed to pick up only my luggage without me needing to accompany. So I could add an additional hour to my Leshan trip. Then they came to the train station a 2nd time in the evening to pick me back to the hotel. 2) The hotel replies very very quickly on WeChat, as if monitoring it all the time. 3) The hotel could arrange ticket purchase of a show, Only Emeishan, at a price lower than what you find on the official website. 4) The hotel even left the suitcase in my room before my arrival. 5) When I told the hotel to skip preparing my breakfast as I was starting off at 7am the next day to go Emeishan (breakfast is 7.30am at the hotel), they offered to put some items into a plastic box for me to take along. 5-star service in terms of making arrangements! They gave me a really large room, and I never used the bathtub with the bath herbs, but am thankful for the upgrade. Loved it that they gave 1 gigantic bottle of water and 2 smaller ones, showing their care for pple intending to climb Emeishan. Please don't expect too much from what they call ”Afternoon Tea” included in your package. It is merely a small tray of dried/fresh fruit, so it wouldn't form a meal. But I would not be fair to readers of reviews if I didn't give a balanced review. a) The hardware is a bit tired. The wooden planks in the shower room are blackish, and there are water marks on the stone in the bathroom. b) The power sockets are not at good locations. They are at the lower parts of a wall at a random spot and nothing near the bedside. c) The lights in the room are not well-positioned. d) There was an empty bottle below the wardrobe area when I first entered the room, which was missed even on the 2nd day. e) As I'm not familiar with Emeishan, I also didn't know that 黄湾 area is not exactly the main activity area in Emeishan. That said, the hotel is a 5-7 min walk from the 黄湾 entrance/exit to Emeishan. I believe the Baoguo Temple entrance/exit would be more popular. There are several restaurants around the restaurant but the vast majority appear closed or are not occupied, so it doesn't feel very lively, whether day or night. All in all, I would still recommend this hotel as they are family owned and run. The whole family depends on your support. Support local small business and give them a chance.

Zzyc81993339Emeishan Hongzhushan Hotel is located at the foot of Mount Emei, a world natural and cultural heritage, less than 200 meters away from the famous temple ”Baoguo Temple”. Its predecessor was the Emeishan official residence built by the National Government for Chiang Kai-shek in 1935, where he lived during his tenure as the ”Officer Training Corps”. The hotel's architectural style combines Chinese and Western styles, and follows the ”dragon and tiger leap” feng shui layout according to the mountain terrain, with the back of the mountain and the water in front, and the dispersed correspondence; taking advantage of the mountain, a unique downward extension structure is formed, and you can appreciate the unparalleled natural environment in the hotel without leaving your home. Looking down at the entire hotel, 9 villa-style floors are hidden on the side of the peaks, in the valleys, and in the corners of the lakes, and there are also pavilions, waterside pavilions, bridges and guest-only walking trails connecting them. The hotel has 440,000 square meters of virgin forest, 100,000 square meters of natural lakes, radon hot springs with a mineralization age of 20 million years and a 5,000-meter hiking trail. The air negative oxygen ion monitoring value is 3,000 times the urban average. It is a well-deserved ”garden hotel, forest hotel”. In Sichuan Province, it is the only two state guesthouses that are on par with Chengdu Jinniu Hotel. After the founding of New China, Hongzhushan Hotel is full of red genes and has repeatedly undertaken the reception and support tasks of party and state leaders. Building 3 is affectionately called the ”Marshal Building” and has successively received many founding marshals such as Zhu De, Peng Dehuai, and Chen Yi; and Building 2 ”Xiaoping Building” was stayed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping twice in 1965 and 1980. Building 1 provided life support services for Chairman Mao Zedong in 2010. The Zen Mountain Residence in Building 7 where we stayed fully embodies the ”people-oriented” service concept: the service staff are humble and polite. The men are handsome and the ladies are pretty. The guest rooms are spacious, elegant and comfortable. The whole room is fully lit, with floor-to-ceiling windows, separating wet and dry areas, and separating movement and stillness. The balcony goes deep into the forest, forming the ultimate of borrowing scenery into the room, the room is in the scenery, the scenery follows the people, and the people are in the painting. Mr. Jin Yong praised it as: every window is a landscape painting. The hot spring is brought into the room, so that every guest can enjoy the best ”radon” hot springs in Mount Emei without leaving the house. The breakfast dishes are rich, combining Chinese and Western styles, and are carefully made. There are also local snacks and intangible cultural heritage of Mount Emei, such as Kabing, tofu brain, Bobo chicken, tangerine peel beef, etc., which are enough to satisfy the appetite of every diner. In the morning and evening, you can see the lake and mountains when you walk in it. Birds and flowers are singing all the way, and the jungle is singing softly. Breathe the fresh air full of hydrogen ions, feel the moisture of the lake and the caress of the forest wind. “I am swimming in the painting, the painting is walking in the scenery, the scenery has entered my eyes, and I am also in the painting.” At that moment, nature and man are one, and I forget myself and the world.

LLanJiangWe initially chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station and its recent opening. The drive up the narrow mountain road, full of sharp turns, was a bit unsettling for our city Didi driver, so we were secretly relieved (as was our driver) when we finally arrived. At first glance, the hotel seemed quite simple, and I wasn’t entirely sure I had made the right choice. However, any lingering doubts were quickly washed away by the warm welcome from Derek, the hotel manager, and the staff. When we got to our room, it was pure joy! The minimalist design is visually soothing, and the balcony with its expansive mountain views made us feel like just hanging around and doing nothing was more than enough. If you're the kind of traveler who feels guilty about not doing anything, rest assured that the hotel is in a beautiful section of the mountain. There's a lovely old temple and a sacred spring pond nearby—Zhongfeng Temple and Shenshui Pavilion, I believe. You’ll also enjoy the energy of hikers rushing up and down the mountain. There are enough people to make it lively but not overwhelmingly crowded like Leidongping or Jinding, where the crowds can be exhausting. A special mention goes to Derek, who exceeded all our expectations. His kindness and professionalism reminded me of the kind of service you expect from a six-star hotel, where every need is anticipated. Derek went above and beyond, making our journey to Golden Summit and onward to Leshan much smoother and more enjoyable. Since we speak minimal Chinese, he kindly helped us communicate with the next hotel, explaining how to get there. He even offered us a free ride to the bus station when we struggled to find a Didi in the area. Derek also helped arrange our transfer to Leshan. We were incredibly impressed and grateful for his assistance. If I had to suggest one area for improvement, I’d say the dinner options could use some enhancement to match the overall excellence of the stay. A small tip: If your goal is to catch the sunrise and sunset at Golden Summit, you'll need to stay at one of the mountaintop hotels near Jinding. Logistically, getting to these hotels involves taking a bus from Baoguosi or Wuxiangang Station to Leidongping, then a cable car to the upper platform, followed by a roughly one-hour hike with steep steps to Jinding. It's manageable with a backpack, but not ideal with large luggage. That’s why we chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its close proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station, leaving our luggage there and heading up the mountain with just our backpacks.

PPurelandThere is room for improvements for pre-arrival communications with guests in English. The cake i received for my birthday is not nice, i would prefer to have a slice of good quality cake than a small cake which taste poor. Breakfast has met my expectations, wide in variety and good in taste, i especially liked the black stir fry noodles with vegetables. Egg station chef skills has to improve though - i didn’t like the taste of my customised scrambled eggs. Love the variety of drinks selections - especially the grape juice! Housekeeping forgot to put bath salts and one time use bathtub cover in our room.
