Good service 👍 Reception.....excellent

Absolutely stunning hotel. Undersold on its website. Original Tudor hall with many original features which compare favourably to any that you might see in a National Trust property - especially the two incredible fireplaces. Great views towards central London from the terrace at the back. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was large, well furnished, and quiet (as I think would be all the hotel as in large grounds). Shame that pond was drained. Annex at the back where the bedrooms are not very sympathetic design to the rest of the stunning hotel, and the gym could be better furnished. I think that Laura Ashley was involved in the interior design. Some reviews say that it is a bit down at it heels, but I didn't think so - more of a lived in air which made me feel more at ease. Looks of quirky design features which work well in a sort of 1960s New Avengers way, but I didn't like the fake wood pattern wallpaper in the bar as it cheapens the glorious fireplace next to it. My daughter loved sitting in one of the James Bond super villain blue chairs in the bar - she moaned that she didn't have our cat with her to complete the effect. We booked this for not much more than the local Premier Inn that I normally stay at - but this is in completely a different league. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful hotel.

Stayed in the main house due to the broken boiler so all good. Tried the Pizza absolutely lovely.

Clean room , Good shower, gym ok to have a work out.

Ideal location, comfortable bed haven't used the restaurant for a while so cant comment.

Hotel and surrounding was in a great location. It was a wonderful stay but the rooms need updating.

Stayed at The Manor, Elstree for three nights B and B, booked through Trip.com and paid extra for a “deluxe “ room. We checked in and we’re given a room called Notting Hill on the second floor of the old building. Very “tired” room, especially the bathroom. The extractor fan was very noisy - sounded like a helicopter which we couldn’t turn off. The loo seat was loose and slipped to one side. The cold tap on the basin would not turn off. Floor tiles were cracked and loose. Bath enamel was chipped in several places. NOT DELUXE. The following morning we mentioned the faults to reception who offered us a different room. We were give “Chelsea “ on the same floor. A larger room in better condition but still not really deluxe. Still “tired”. Breakfast was nice with plenty to choose. All cooked nicely and lots of item’s laid out to select also. Very slow service however, we waited 50 minutes after ordering for the cooked items to appear. Unfortunately, on our last evening the wheel chair ramps had been left out on the steps at the hotel entrance. As I walked up, one ramp collapsed causing me to fall heavily and knocked my wife over too. We both suffered injuries which we reported. The steps should have been removed earlier once the wheel chair had left. Please take care if these ramps are there.

Hotel very local to my work, Small Gym but ok for me, Beds are exceptionally comfortable. Generally a nice stay.

Nice small Cosy hotel. Great location for north London. Free parking. Reasonable prices for rooms compared to other hotels. Friendly helpful staff.

There is a door in the room that leads directly to the hotel's garden, which has many towering trees and a small pond. The hotel is a Tudor-style building, simple and elegant. The breakfast is quite rich.
