This B&B is fantastic. The exterior is quite understated, and the staff were very welcoming, explaining that it's a 300-year-old Georgian townhouse. The decor truly captures that style. The building is also very quiet, and the stay was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious. There are plenty of buses to the downtown area, right outside the hotel.

The location was excellent with buses every few minutes to get into the city centre. Although the bed was comfortable, the room was in need of an update. The ensuite was small & the shower cubicle itself was tiny, the shower door was flimsy & wouldn't stay shut at the bottom. The cooked breakfast was in pans for guests to help themselves. It was warm at best & the plates were cold. There were toast & cold buffet options. We paid over £900 for 3 nights in August (Edinburgh fringe festival time) we knew prices were higher at that time but it was not worth £900+.

J'ai été très déçu. La chambre était chère, mais c'est probablement normal en pleine période du festival d'Édimbourg. La chambre et l'emplacement étaient corrects, mais le service était médiocre. Le petit-déjeuner est bien inférieur à tout ce que j'ai pu goûter pendant mon voyage de sept jours en Écosse (mauvais café, croissants emballés sous plastique, pas de bacon ni de haggis/saucisse noire). Il faut le prendre entre 8h et 9h, sauf le dimanche où il est possible de le prendre entre 8h et 9h30. La douche nécessite un doctorat pour trouver la bonne température et éviter les brûlures et les douches froides. Impossible de laisser ses bagages après le check-out, ce qui oblige à se rendre à la consigne bondée de la gare de Waverley. Laisser ses bagages est pourtant la norme et proposé dans tous les hôtels, chambres d'hôtes et lodges. Enfin, le personnel est moyennement aimable. Dans l'ensemble, un prix pas justifié.

Found the guest house to be very dated. Wallpaper was dirty as behind the mirror was clean. The whole place had an odour which whilst not pungent its not inviting. Breakfast was about average. Staff were friendly and helpful. 20 mins walk to city center. Overall just average.

Muy mala atención para nada personalizada. Las instrucciones para obtener la llave no se entendían. Me costó mucho interpretar que lo que llamaban botón era una pequeña palanca. También tuve problemas con la llave de ingreso a mí habitación que no funcionaba bien. El desayuno nunca lo pude tomar porque mal informaron el horario.Al volver de un tour encontré una llave de mí habitación colocada del lado de afuera de la cerradura, cualquiera podría haber entrado. La habitación tenía un olor muy desagradable de la falta de limpieza de cortinados y edredones. El poco personal con el que me crucé realmente nada empático y frío sin solucionar nada. Las veces que llamé a recepción nunca me contestaron

Das Hotel war schmutzig, der Empfang und Abschied äußerst unfreundlich. Geben sich keine Mühe. Die Zimmer waren dreckig und die Dusche war fast nicht zu gebrauchen. Der Inhaber wollte möglichst schnell fertig sein mit dem Frühstück und schaute alle paar Minuten um die Ecke des Frühstücks Raums..
