We visit Omaha several times yearly and have stayed at multiple properties throughout the metro area. This was our first time staying at this property. Initially, as we pulled into the parking lot we thought we had made a mistake. Several large shipping containers and construction equipment and materials in the parking lot made it difficult to navigate around and find an open spot. Evidently, a major renovation is occurring, which I understand needs to happen. As we walked in there was a very upset guest who, by her own explanation had made a significant reservation error through a third-party booking site. The front desk representative was handling it professionally and with a positive and pleasant attitude. I was quite impressed because I don't think I would have been as patient as she was. When we got to her the front desk representative was wonderful, friendly, and delightful. We were in and out for a good part of the evening as we were running errands and going out to dinner. Every time we encountered her she was cheerful and positive. We finally came in late in the evening and the night staff was equally friendly and engaging. The next morning the front desk clerk greeted us with an exuberant, energetic ”good morning” and a genuine smile. As we ate breakfast (not the best IHG breakfast) I observed how he interacted with all the guests and it was textbook hospitality. I really want to communicate with management and the owner that your staff is all absolutely wonderful. They all seem to be not just professionally polite, but genuinely happy to be on duty at this hotel. Despite the obstacle course of a parking lot and construction equipment lining the entrance, we enjoyed this property more than all of the other stays around the city. We will be back in Omaha again this year and will definitely choose this location for our next stay. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Seeing Millard's sights from this hotel is easy with Center Park, Pacific Springs Park and Faithful Shepherd Presbyterian all close by.This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. We made a quick trip to Omaha with the family in the location of the hotel is perfect and the shuttle made it so easy to get around without having to use a car. We did have an issue with our room that was not something the staff could control, but once we brought it to their attention, they handled the situation as quickly as possible and made things right for our family. We will definitely stay at this hotel again due to them going above and beyond to take care of us!

I realize that businesses are slowly reopening, but cleaning hotel rooms, and keeping up with maintenance should not be neglected. The bathroom was FULL of hair, everywhere. We wanted tub, because my wife prefers baths. We were never told that the only rooms with a tub are handicap-accessible rooms. The handicap bench makes using the tub pretty much impossible, as the bottom hinges of the bench protrude into the tub area. The tub, itself, is VERY slippery when wet. Probably not the best for a handicapped room. The drain plug did not keep water from draining (perhaps from more hair?) While showering, and with the drain open, the water still collected in the tub. The rest of the room was acceptable, but the appearance made it seem as though it was on the tail end of some repairs. Those should be 100% completed before using the room. The handle, and front of the bedside table was disgustingly sticky. There are absolutely no USB ports in the room. The TV, ”guide”, never, ever worked. There are several security issues around the hotel, mainly broken doors.

This is a nice clean hotel. The rooms offer a full fridge, microwave dishwasher, and stovetop. Very spacious! Seating room and bedroom area. Breakfast had hot food, fruit, and juices. The staff was helpful and polite. The pool was nice. Did have a lot of kids but that was ok. Great stay

The hotel was great. Nice location. Mike at valet was super quick at getting the car. Breakfast was tasty. Beds were comfortable. I would stay again if I was in town. Room service was a bit pricey, as normal for room service, but the food was good. Next time I'd just go down and eat at the restaurant.

We stayed overnight in August, 2023. Check-in was pleasant, downhill after that. This is a franchisee-owned property, which means Sonesta corporate sells rooms here, but will not help out with any problems. The room was furnished with new or relatively new furnishings, but had obviously been remodeled by inexperienced amateurs, and had sustained significant water damage (see pictures). Inside doors were split apart due to water damage, floor moldings were rusty, bathroom painting included two different colors. The bathroom door was cut out to allow it to get past the toilet! To top it off, our credit card was charged for over $50 after we left (when we checked out, I asked if there were any charges, and was told no). Sonesta corporate ”called and asked the site management to call you”, after I repeatedly left messages on the local number. I finally had to have my credit card company stop payment and dispute the charge. It appears that many Sonesta franchisees buy hotels that need investment and ”update” them, with varying degrees of success and investment. Sonesta apparently does not hold them to any standard, and will not help customers with any issues, referring customers to local owners. There are complaints with BBB, which Sonesta denies responsibility. If you must stay at a Sonesta (they are NOT all bad), then call the Sonesta reservations number and ask if the specific property is a Sonesta-owned property or a franchisee. If the latter, proceed with caution.

Was in town for a meeting and being with Bonvoy thought I would give this location a try since it was close to the office. Nice staff at the front desk but has to be one of the smallest lobby areas and reception desk in the entire chain. The woman working there made the comment that she wished it was bigger for a working area. The rooms are what you expect at a TownePlace and everything was great. What I was suprised by was the so called breakfast. One day it was some rubber fried eggs, a paper bowl of salsa with plastic spoon to service it with, cereal and yogurt. This was better than the second morning when I thought I would go grab a yogurt but they didn't have any. All that was there was a dish full of heated up Jimmy Dean sausage biscuit sandwiches. No fruit, no juice (the machine was broken) and no yogurt. I would still stay here again because the property is great but they need to do something about the breakfast service to be on par with other TownePlace Suites I have stayed in.

Stayed here recently with my wife during a business trip to Omaha. Got a nice sized, King Suite room with Jacuzzi and shower. Nice large, spacious room, though a bit out dated. That doesn't really bother me much at all, except the Jacuzzi simply DID NOT WORK. Couldn't even turn the water on! In addition to this, the hot water in the bathroom was virtually non-existent. I'm not exaggerating in the least when I say that you had to turn the water on in the shower, sink, etc., and simply walk away for several minutes and come back for it to even be warm. It seems the hospitality industry everywhere we go has completely abandoned even the most basic and standard elements of ensuring people have a pleasant stay while traveling. We were loyal to another hotel chain (IHG hotels) for over 25 years when we started getting frustrated with their increasing poor management and quality and starting staying in Choice hotels hoping to see something better. Well, they've been a major disappointment as well. We don't expect 5-star resort treatment at these places, but when trying to book the better rooms and still stay budget-friendly you don't expect to take for granted things like hot running water. The hotel wasn't at all busy so it wasn't a matter of the plumbing system being taxed with maximum occupancy. We also stayed in another Choice Hotels location this same weekend and it was an even worse experience. The only redeeming quality about this place was that the lady running the breakfast area in the morning was staying on top of things. Apart from that, we're pretty much through with Choice Hotels at this point. May just have to start traveling in an RV and avoid hotel stays altogether!
