Ramada by Wyndham Doha Old Town

I chose a hotel to stay before the cruise, so that it was not far from the airport and so that I could walk around the area. The location is excellent: nearby are shopping pavilions and the ancient market of Souq Waqif, then immediately behind it is the modern district of Msheireb, the National Museum, the Museum of Islamic Art, the Embankment. They gave me a huge room, at least for ballroom dancing! On a high floor with a bit of a view of the market and the Embankment. Breakfasts are good. Coffee from the machine - not so much. There was no adapter for the sockets - I asked the reception, they immediately gave it to me. We went on an excursion - left our luggage at the hotel. The staff is very friendly! From the airport to the Port 15 minutes by taxi. I recommend visiting.

It is enough space, but there is little decoration, furniture, the room is empty & boring. An atmosphere between apartment & real hotel room.

I was tempted by the size of the room (it is really huge). Good breakfasts, which are already included in the price (no need to pay extra). But the hotel and the room are very tired. The toilet seat is falling off, the shower head is leaking a lot. The bed linen is worn and torn in places. Not all the switches work. I read the reviews normally after checking in. I saw about the cockroaches and joked to my wife that it was good that we don’t have them), but on the second day, when I wanted to brush my teeth, I saw a cockroach running by. When I picked up the hair dryer, I saw about 5 of them. For the first time in all my travels, when checking in, there is toilet paper by the toilet, like new, in which at most 1/7 of a full roll is standing, apparently what was left over from previous guests. But they give it out upon request. Although it is not far from the metro and activities (Kul Sharif and the Qatar Museum are a 5-minute walk away), it is not clean and working at all. Even men are pestered by persistent barkers along the way. A girl definitely shouldn't walk alone, only take a taxi.

I like everything, only there is no phone, I have to go down to the administrator 😊But otherwise it is completely clean and cozy, everything is nearby👍🏼🏖️🇶🇦☀️
