Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha Reviews

This is our second time staying in this property and I have to say it never disappoints. This time I had an event in the property and I stayed only for one night with my son. I called the property to request for an early check in and Farooq was kind enough to grant the request. We checked in at 11am! Upon check in, there was one lady who kindly assisted us. Her name is Sharon and I came to know later that she is the Executive Housekeeper in the property. She even went out her way to show me the RIXY KIDS club so my son can enjoy some activities during our stay. She was so kind and warm. We reached the room and we were again surprised to receive some complimentary sweets sent by her. Our stay was nothing short of amazing. More than the amazing facilities of the property, I think it’s really the warmth and kind hospitality of the people in the property that makes this hotel stand out. Will definitely come back again.

The facilities and recreational activities gave us a lot of way to spend our time. Just a bit of suggestion, I hope there will be more choices for the breakfast. Overall, we had a great stay!

Good hotel. Clean, comfortable beds. Polite staff. Cons: far from the center, either 40 minutes on foot or by taxi. 15 minutes from the airport.

The hotel facilities are 10 points good, and they also allowed us to check out late. The overall service and environment are 10 points good! The hotel breakfast has a wide variety of varieties! The hotel is very close to the airport and attractions and is 10 minutes conveniently located 

Service on the beach is very weak, and not good in the sauna either. rRevrption is O.K. ! House keeping is very good, restaurant is good. The concierge is great.

The hotel is a real children's hotel. The children run through the dining room and as an older holidaymaker you cannot eat in peace. The dining room is a real canteen. The servers work very hard and are very friendly. However, there are too few servers to clear and polish the tables. The children (and many parents) leave a large amount of food scraps on the tables. You don't get a tablecloth or a cloth napkin, as you should in a 5-star restaurant. It's very chaotic. We had previously walked into Rixos Dubai and Rixos Abu Dhabi to see if Rixos would be a good choice for us. Those hotels look much better and nicer. That is no comparison with the Rixos Gulf hotel. We often saw small children taking food from the buffet with their hands and/or putting it back again! The reception staff, especially Darezhan, is very helpful! he deserves all the praise! Mr Faruk from Crust, the coffee bar, is a great person, he knows you by name and spoils you. Some rooms have no view, this was the case with us the first few days. You then look at a latticework. Mrs. Darezhan then gave us a nice room. If it is cold and, as in our case, you cannot sit in the evening, the bar with 2 tables fills up quickly. You can't get in anymore! We had booked all inclusive and walked to the Ritz Carlton for 2 evenings to have a beer there for a fee.

The hotel has a nice view and is considered a good five-star rating. The service and hygiene can only be considered average.

The room smelled so bad that it was impossible to sleep. The pillows stank. I don't think they were changed even once. I tried to sleep by selling towels to the pillows but it wasn't possible. I paid 230€ for 1 night and the service I received was 0.

Everything was perfect!
