beautiful hotel, great location but hotel staff can be more attentive and friendly (except reception who are very friendly and helpful)

This 4* hotel is situated between Deauville and Trouville adjacent to the Deauville marina , which at this time of year was full of yachts etc. The room was a privilege room which meant we enjoyed certain extras. The room itself was of a reasonable size and being a wheelchair user quite accessible in terms of its facilities although you would need to be able to transfer from wheelchair to shower chair which was a bit of a squeeze. The room also had a south east facing balcony and we enjoyed our morning breakfast sitting out and watching the world go by , and also the lovely view of the marina. The room was very well decorated to a high standard and also provided was a small fridge which came in handy on the warmer days. Our room was kept clean and serviced to an exceptionally high standard and the bed was very comfortable resulting in some very goodnights sleep. We did not eat at the hotel as we do not have a substantial breakfast although it's fair to say the dinig room was very popular every morning. In the evenings there is such an overwhelming choice of eateries it was difficult to know where to start. All in all a pleasant stay, the staff were friendly although I have to say the entrance has a step if you have a wheelchair ,however if required a ramp is available. As we did not require a ramp being able to negotiate the step (quite small) we were taken aback by the reluctance of some of the staff to assist in holding the door open- this required my wife to enter obtain the wooden chock to open and keep the door open . One or two individuals did however assist and this would not in itself put us off returning which we hope to do next year. As they say manners maketh man. All in all a lovely staff in an elegant comfortable room centrally located for both Deauville and Trouville. A very enjoyable stay.

Very satisfied with the newly opened hotel. Next to the sea, if you are driving by yourself, there are parking lots at the hotel and next to it. Because I went there in winter, there are not many tourists, the experience is very good, but if it is summer, it is estimated that there will be a lot of people. The hotel breakfast is on the 5th floor and the quality is very good. There are also many restaurants in the surrounding area. After all, it is winter and few are open, but if there is a chance, I will stay again.

Firstly, we found the staff to be pleasant however this is a very poor 3 star hotel. It needs modernisation. The location is not great if you are a tourist who wants to explore the local area of Deauville because you will need your car for this. However, if your business is horses then you are right in the middle of this farming industry.

PLUS QU'UN SIMPLE HOTEL :) Et TRES QUALITATIF. Hôtel au concept innovant et site étonnant. En dehors des chambres très modernes et bien conçues (on sent la touche ”architecte” dans chaque detail), de veritables espaces de vie vont sont proposés dans les parties communes de l hôtel : espace pour pouvoir vous réchauffer un plat et frigo si vous en avez marre des resto en ville , salle de jeu et de musique, espaces pour travailler, Salle de sport et même une salle de cinéma. Petit déjeuner très qualitatif (la majeure partie des gâteaux, crêpes sont faits maison, en attestent les odeurs que vous sentez des 23h la veille en passant devant l accueil), jus de fruit et Yahourts de qualité, pain et viennoiseries de boulanger et non du surgelé réchauffé. Les prestations sont très nettement supérieures à ce qui se fait même dans certains grands groupes hôteliers. Découvert par hasard car plus de place dans un autre hotel que nous convoitions. Belle découverte ! Vous nous reverrez. On vous souhaite longue vie et succès !

As a regular visitor to La Closerie we were impressed with the refurbished reception area. The room was small but adequate with a nice balcony. The bathroom was quite old fashioned with a very small shower. For the room price we would have expected better quality. Despite the weather not being warm the room was uncomfortably hot and although there was a fan this didn't constitute a good night's sleep. In addition the wifi didn't work for the duration of our stay which was especially frustrating since I had work to do. Overall we were disappointed with our stay on this occasion since we have always chosen La Closerie on our regular visits to Deauville. We will sadly be considering other accommodation options next time. On a positive note the staff were friendly and offered good service.

We are leaving Deauville and this beautiful hotel, the Royal Hotel Barriere, which we called home for 10 days. The staff know us all by name and their service has been the best in all of the hotels around the world we have stayed. Absolutely 5 star and faultless. The funny thing is, AMEX recommended we stay at another hotel in Traville, just 5 minutes down the road. When we got to the other hotel we could see straight away it was not to our liking so cancelled the booking and found this hotel by ourselves. I cannot say enough about this hotel, my father in law who we brought with us, has a knack of complaining about everything and anything, but this stay, i heard not a word out of him. That is the greatest testament to how good this hotel is. Everyday, the restaurant menus changes, so you never tire of what’s on offer. As for Deauville, this town is magical and is like old Paris, that’s probably why It’s known as the Paris Rivièra. Full of restaurants, cafe’s, bars, markets, and beautiful beaches. As we are leaving the hotel is filling with Parisians escaping Paris for a break. If your ever find yourself in France, put Deauville on your list of places to stay or visit.

Loved the location of this hotel right next to the marina. Not far from the shops and beach. Hotel rooms were clean and had air con. Bed was super comfy! We were able to park in the hotel car park €10 for 24 hours. Overall excellent value for a superb location

Visited for the very first time and was not disappointed! Check in was a little slow, but nothing that I couldn't deal with. I booked in, and had to pay a €3.50 room tax as the room had already been paid for. I got the card to my room, and was surprised with the room I had been given - a duplex on 2 levels. The room was clean and spacious, a sitting area and bathroom with shower when entering the room, and the bedroom with a bath and small toilet on the upper level. The only thing that was missing from the room was tea/coffee making facilities (my colleagues also found this issue in their rooms) There is a kettle etc in Reception, but this is removed during the night, so it would have been handy to make in my room as I had to go to Reception in the early hours, find the receptionist who wasn't at his desk and ask if he could make me a coffee. This is literally the only think I could fault about our stay.
