It is really wise to drive to Detian Waterfall by car. The location is near the entrance of the Great Waterfall, which is very convenient for playing. You can drive directly to the scenic road to the hotel to avoid the money for sightseeing tickets. The hotel room is spacious and comfortable, the flowers on the terrace are beautiful, the scenery is very good, and there is an elevator. The front desk service was warm and thoughtful, and I bought tickets for the next day. There are also Vietnamese specialties on the first floor of the hotel. Guests can also discount, and the price is cheaper than other homes!

The sanitation is relatively clean, but there is no dry and wet separation. The room is also relatively large, and the floor-to-ceiling windows have a good view of the mountains outside. The accommodation conditions in the scenic area are average, so don't be too demanding. Breakfast is not included, and some coupons were given. It is really expensive for more than 800 yuan during holidays. If you are not with children and are afraid of squeezing in the sightseeing bus, you will definitely not choose to stay in the scenic area. The proprietress is nice, she guided the parking location and told us when the water volume of the waterfall is larger.

Traveling before the Spring Festival, you can directly navigate to the hotel entrance when you book a hotel. We have a parking space at the entrance of the hotel and park there directly.
Environment: The location of the hotel is very good, there is a basketball court next to it, the parking lot in the village, although the hotel does not provide breakfast, but walk about 100 meters to the snack street, not only noodles, but also stir-fry, a variety of choices. Sleeping at night is very quiet and not noisy.
Service: Give the original ID card (required for ticket purchase), the hotel can also help buy tickets for Detian Transnational Waterfall (go before 7:30 in the morning), you can sleep in and rest well, go to the waterfall around 10:30, go shopping until about 12 o'clock, the waterfall water flow is large, the water flow is obvious before and after the comparison.

This newly opened hotel is very remote and you have to walk to the farthest point in the opposite direction of the entrance. The parking lot is not friendly to novices, with a steep uphill slope, a right-angle turn and a very narrow entrance, so it is easy to scratch your car if you are not careful. Don't even consider low-rider cars. There was breakfast downstairs, but I found bugs in my food. The afternoon tea was tangerines and small tomatoes, plus two kinds of dried fruits sold in the store. JJohn AlexanderThis is a lovely property situated in the heart of the Mingshi Scenic Village. The staff are incredibly friendly and happy. The hotels food is simple but delicious and the location couldn’t be better. Rooms are clean and the Mountain View rooms provide a beautiful look out onto the local scenery. Overall this is a great place to stay if you are visiting this region.

I cannot say enough good things about the amazing service that the staff provided. Joyous staff. Good feelings. Not much English spoken (well basically none as is usual in China based on my experience) but with the help of the various apps and a positive attitude this is practically not a real issue. It can even be fun. Anyway they fulfilled all my requests and more than that (incl. for the breakfast as I suffer from diabetes) and always made sure I was happy and enjoying my stay.
The rooms I had (2 stays) were very large. The air conditioning was very efficient and silent. The views were so enjoyable (yes out there in Mingshi there are better views of course but still). The large bed was very comfortable. Big sofa, tables, chairs ... and a lot of space. Nice bathroom with good shower. A fridge was available and included some ”free” drinks.
I found the location perfect as it is not in the village itself but on the other side of the little river. So it is very quiet. A very short drive to the village and even walking requires no more than 30 minutes.
Restaurants are only available in the village and bike rentals are way cheaper in the village too. I would certainly not recommend the local shop close to the hotel for rentals as the deals proposed are absurd (well prices the owner articulated were simply exorbitant).
I will definitely return to Mingshi as I loved the region and there is so much to discover. I will quite certainly look no further than the Yunlu. Location. Peacefulness. But above all because of the extraordinary customer friendly attitude and the good spirit of the ”team”.

LLuoyang98Mingshi Yaju, the first thing that impressed me was the location and environment of the hotel. The hotel is very conveniently located in the scenic area. The hotel is built by the water. There is a green river downstairs and a long mountain opposite. It is very pleasant. The swimming pool and the river face each other. Every shot is a beautiful photo. But the service must be the one that can keep the guests' hearts. Since adding the hotel butler's WeChat, you will find that Yaju's service is constant temperature, and all questions are answered, and the reply speed is even faster. The hotel also provides guests with bamboo raft afternoon tea. Speaking of bamboo rafts, I have to talk about the handsome boy Xiao Tan, who is kind and enthusiastic, generous in conversation, very talkative, and a very sunny and thoughtful young man. The car cannot enter the scenic area, but don't worry, the shuttle bus like a classic car is always at the service of the guests. Even the restaurant at the entrance of the scenic area (actually very close) can't bear to let the guests walk too much, and will take the initiative to arrange the car. Every staff member of the hotel has a very high sense of service. Some luggage is not heavy, but they all emphasize that they are handed over to them. The restaurant is only a hundred meters away. Xiao Yu was afraid that we didn't know the exclusive location of Yaju, so he walked with us. It was really thoughtful and considerate. The hotel provided national costumes. I was originally worried that no one would take pictures for me with the elderly and children. Xiao Yu took the trouble to take pictures for me, leaving many beautiful memories. GGuest UserI didn't expect much from the two-star rating. After checking in, it completely exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and big, and the mountain view was great. It's at the entrance of the town, and it's convenient to eat. It's only a few kilometers away from Detian Waterfall and a few minutes' drive. It was only a few minutes' drive. Booked for one day and decided to renew for another night.

The food in the restaurant was pretty good, if a bit overpriced. It would be lovely if they also had an English menu, but that's rare in this corner of China, and we managed with rudimentary Chinese and pointing.
Be aware that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Other than a small convenience store, there's nothing around. You need a car, scooter or bike to get around.
If I had any complaints, it would be that the rooms aren't very well insulated for sound. We could hear everyone who walked up or down the staircase.

LLee Hui TengLove at first sight. The view from our rooms was beautiful. The rooms were tastefully furnished. The beds were very comfortable. Clean sheets and towels. Modern amenities. The automatic toilet bowl was amazing. I wished I had one at home in Malaysia. We enjoyed the breakfasts. I am good with the healthy options and free flow of soy milk. I suggest using the ceramic bowl for the hot soy milk instead of the plastic bowls provided. Do bring your own hot water flask. Hot water dispenser available.We had all our meals in the hotel. The food was delicious. Do try the free range chicken with mushroom soup. Very comforting. Our morning walk in the village was lovely. Plenty of vegetable farms. Mr. Wei, the manager was very attentive and friendly. He offered to ferry us to Detian waterfalls for a fee as there were no taxi or e-hailing. Overall, we had a pleasant and wonderful two day stay. Highly recommended.
PS. Do close the two small windows behind the curtains for better noise insulation.

EEatPrayTravelLocation of hotel is very convenient for travelers who take the tourist bus from either Chungzuo, Nanning or from Detian waterfalls scenic area. The room we booked had a nice view of the fields and karst mountains. What a beautiful sight to behold indeed. During the day, it can get noisy with all the comings and goings in the village and all around but at night, it was very quiet. The rooftop terrace was very nice and not busy when we were there. Breakfast was enjoyable with steamed buns, corn, soup noodles and boiled sweet potatoes- a healthy start for a very busy day. The very nice lady in charge of breakfast offered us breakfast on our check in day (we arrived at 10:30) and made sure we had enough to eat before sending us off to explore! We had never met a B&B operator who was so caring and generous. On our check out day, even though she was still busy with guests, she rushed out to bid us a fond farewell and a safe onward trip. Front desk and cleaning team were all very friendly, always smiling and helpful. All in all, a very warm and pleasant stay at Mingshi Scenic Area.

AAnonymous UserBecause the trip was booked in a hurry, several online celebrity stores were fully booked. Only this new store still had rooms. It seemed that it was a new store and there was no problem with hygiene, so I booked a room for three days.
When we got far away, we saw the picturesque courtyard with white walls and gray tiles. When we opened the door, we could smell the original scent of wood. The room was very large, with floor-to-ceiling windows and electric curtains. Outside the window, we could see mountains and fields that looked like ink paintings. The room was soundproofed. Very good, the room layout is Zen-like, clean and hygienic. Needless to say, I like the style very much.
Since there were not many places to choose from to eat in the town, we chose to eat in the store. Unexpectedly, it really suited our appetite. The tableware was also exquisite and hygienic, and the rice noodles and siu mai for breakfast were so filling.
The young couple in the store are very enthusiastic, and the waiters and cleaners are also very polite and responsive to all requests. In short, this is a highly recommended store. Not much to say, as the picture above proves.

The taste is OK, the first day to eat stir-fried vegetables, the next day to eat a warm pot, the price is still OK! The ingredients are also very fresh! Overall, it is recommended to stay and eat!

RrachelmeetsworldI stayed 2 nights at the Mingshi Mountain Village. The amenities were very nice, as well as the service. The location was very convenient for visiting the Detian Waterfall (about 45 minutes away by car) and also for enjoying the Mingshi Scenic area. I rented a bike from the hotel one day (free with your hotel stay) and had a great time exploring the surrounding bike paths - highly recommend! The hotel staff were also great in helping me arrange a car to take me to the Nanning Airport.
I also liked that I could go inside the Scenic Area for free with my room card - it was great for evening walks and for the shows held there at night. I didn’t try the pool (but you need to pay extra for it anyways).
The breakfast is nice - it’s what you’d usually find for a Chinese international hotel. There was coffee & milk as well!
Overall, it was a good stay and I would stay here again.
