We liked the hotel very much as they were very well organized and professional.
Location is the best, 5 minutes from plaza de armas and from all other major attractions.
Room was clean, extra heater was inside the room, bathroom was clean and everything worked perfect.
As we had our room on the inside, our room was also quiet and no traffic could be heard.
Breakfast is very diverse and it even starts from 4am...you can have a snack before you leave for a trek.
Totally recommend!

I booked the wrong date, and when I got to the front desk, they told me to cancel it in the system and pay again on site, but they refused to cancel it afterwards. The hotel environment is poor, the hygiene is poor, the breakfast is very simple, and the attitude of the service staff is average.

All the staff were kind and made my stay comfortable. It was cold so I was able to borrow a blanket which was very helpful. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity. There was also free tea available at the front desk of the hotel.

I have stayed at the San Agustin El Dorado on many occasions over the years. The rooms are comfortable and the front desk and housekeeping staffs are wonderful. Always a great experience in a perfect central location. I can highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is scary and dangerous. The locks don’t work well on the doors, the elevator was broken and they put a female traveler alone on the 5th floor (walk up) with 3 big things of luggage. The front desk won’t answer the phone if they know you have a problem - like the locks don’t work on your door. This is a motel and it is not safe for female travelers!! I think it’s extremely dangerous and have petitioned Amex to remove it from their website. This is not a clean hotel it’s very run down as well. Do not stay here!!!!

I can only recommend the hotel San Agustin El Dorado where we stayed a total of 5 nights in August 2024. It has a perfect location in Cusco's avenida del Sol, all the needed comforts and a very good breakfast starting very early in the morning (even 4 am) so perfect if you need to grab something to eat before heading out for a day trip. A shout-out to the very helpful staff (thanks, César and Everyone!) - muchas gracias y hasta pronto!

I would say this is a 3.5 star hotel. It's 2 or 3 blocks from the plaza. Close enough to walk almost every you need to be for tours, but far enough for a good night’s rest. This, like other buildings in Cusco, is older & dated, so if you are expecting luxury, go stay at a “5 star” hotel outside of the plaza. Room was clean, bed was comfortable enough, had a safe, and space heater. Their daily breakfast buffet was great. I was on 2nd floor, so I could hear the lobby and restaurant when there were crowds. I recommend a higher level room if noise, for a little bit, bothers you. There’s no clock/alarm in room; just use your cell phone as one. Can you hear guests above you getting ready & closing doors at 3am? Yes, and it’s like that everywhere else that has tours starting that early. Overall, for the price and location, this was great for a solo traveler.

This was our base to explore Machu Picchu. Very central location walkable to most places and safe. Money changers and local tour agencies along the street towards town square. Hotel was clean, comfortable and warm with rooms well spaced out. Rooms were spacious and came equipped with all amenities, bathtub, comfortable beds and a view of the mountain out the window. WiFi was good and there is a tea station at the lobby that is always open for all and a computer for use. Hotel has a lift and a gift shop inside. Breakfast was acceptable but always need topping up as only limited quantity is put out each time.

The hotel has a location near the Plaza de Armas, the breakfast is just ok, the rooms have old bathrooms so you can expect some water leaks and the ac connectors fails sometimes, the reception is very kind but I had a human error booking an extra night and when I realized it I informed the hotel 2 hours after checking in and to make a long story short the hotel kept my money and basically their excuse It was that this reservation did not allow them to return money, but they could have had worms in the fruit for breakfast without even an apology. I do not recommend any traveler to stay at this hotel. they are dishonest!

Relatively central location, good location. Very spartan hotel given its classification, we were given room 422...Intense smell of sewage (which persisted - we had to open the window), view to the back, empty land. Very basic and 'worn' bathroom, quite old. Breakfast also minimalist, nice room. There is not much more to say, we believe that the classification is wrong given the conditions of this 'hotel' which is more similar to a residential one....

We felt very comfortable here during our stay. All of the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, and they cater to guests' needs. Breakfast is available from 4 a.m. because some tours start that early. The hotel and its staff are the perfect complement to a magical experience in Cusco. Very attentive and friendly, Mr. Dayira, Mr. Raúl (reception), restaurant and cleaning staff. There are a lot of details that you can't pay for anything. We felt very special thanks. Thank you and say so, no changes. A hug for everyone and every one.

The Hotel is correct. The facilities are clean and neat. The Breakfast is varied. The location is correct. In any case, it lacks amenities to become a 4-star hotel. Other than that, everything is ok, and it meets its objective.

The hotel was closed when I had my reservation paid, on March 2, 2004, the door was closed, with my entire family on the street, at night, tired from traveling, I never received a response email for this situation, a not very serious company, He doesn't care about the clients.
