Best Western Freeport Inn

Love staying at this place. Always feel like it's home and the people are lovely. The breakfast place on the property is the best plus the restaurant, Muddy Rudder, gives a discount for staying at the Inn. Bed was so comfy and our dog loved the place too!!
Fireside Inn & Suites Portland

Have stayed here previously so I knew what to expect. Hotel staff were friendly, room was very clean. The hotel is starting to show its age but it was clean. The hotel has a convenient little shop with gifts and snacks in the lobby and free breakfast in the morning. Not a bad hotel for an overnight stay.

It’s great- the room is clean, shower is functional, basic amenities are there. Some lounge neighbors but that’s unavoidable. Most importantly the bed is comfy, staff has been very nice and helpful. I’d go back there in the future!
Hilton Garden Inn Portland-Airport

Quiet, clean, friendly/competent staff. AND could not be more convenient. Food is pretty good which is important since it is a (short) drive to a restaurant. However, I also used Uber Eats and that worked well.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Portland

We stayed at the Homewood Suites (Scarborough) as part of a sports group. I checked in online the day before and my room was ready by midday. When I arrived I was given keys to the room and made my way to the room. Most of the hotel staff went above and beyond for our group. We had an early morning game and the breakfast staff came in an hour early to have breakfast prepared for us. Amazing! The rooms were clean and had all of the amentines needed to cook meals if we needed to. Having a full size referigerator is great. Beds were comfortable. And for all of those who need a fan at night, there is a ceiling fan. I was so excited! Like I mentioned, breakfast staff was wonderful. They offered eggs, bacon as well as bagels, yogurts and more. Sue at the front desk really made the group feel welcomed. And would do anything she could for us. Thanks for making our stay great!
The Harraseeket Inn & Event House

We visited Freeport in 2019 and ate at the Broad Arrow Tavern. We thought if we visited again, we would definitely want to stay at the Inn. We had 3 people in our party, so I booked a townhome. I didn't anticipate the ”townhouses are located toward the back of our property, along a beautiful treelined path” would actually be a steep uneven path my 91 year old father would have to traverse with his walker. We were greeted with a musty smell when we opened the door. There wasn't enough comfortable seating for ”a family”. Two of us sat on the couch and one sat on the desk chair to watch TV together. I can't imagine if we had our whole family with us. I think there is a reason why they didn't post pictures of the townhomes on the website. They are old, small and not well appointed. There is no curtain in the entry window by the door, so there is no privacy for the downstairs. Anyone going by could watch your family without your knowledge. I know because walking by the other townhomes, we could see into everyone that had their lights on. I'm not sure where we were supposed to put the soap for the bathroom sink because there was no soap dish. The bathroom was tiny. There was no dishwasher detergent for the dishwasher and no drying rack for the sink. I can only assume they wanted you to use the dishwasher to store hand washed dishes. They left a large sponge (not sure how old or how clean) to do dishes. There were no regular towels to dry hands or dishes. Paper towels were provided. The refrigerator doesn't have an ice maker. There was one cube of trays half filled, so I can only assume someone else touched that ice cube tray on a previous visit. No decaf coffee was provided. The bed's headboard rocked. We had to put towels across the headboard because it was hitting the wall every time we sat on the bed. The blanket that was on the bed didn't even go across the whole bed as it was one size too small. There were no extra pillows/blankets. It would have been nice to use a blanket while watching TV. I doubt the carpets were vacuumed between guests because I found a piece of broken plastic in the middle of the hallway floor upstairs. I'm glad I saw it because it was sharp and had the diabetic guests cut their foot on it, it could have led to a serious problem. I'm not sure if there is an electrical issue with this townhome, but I will cation future guests when using the plugs. They sparked upstairs and downstairs when I was plugging things in. The place has been partially renovated with new countertops on old cabinets. It appears to be new carpet. There is evidence of pictures that used to hang on the wall but don't any more. I'm not sure why there is a hole in the living room ceiling. There is a chipped mirror and rusted metal in the bathroom, old & scratched furniture, etc. The main bedroom had a broken closet door. There is a TV in one bedroom only although there is a TV cabinet in the other bedroom. After seei
