Popular Cortona 4-star Hotels

The hotel was traditional and beautiful. Cortona is a 30 minute steep walk but so worth it. i would book wine tasting at Il Falcionieri it was truly stunning. Definitely advise hiring a car as taxi's are sp**** and the train station is a 30 minute walk along a busy road. the staff were amazing and even drove us to the bus station at 6:45am in order for us to get to the airport in time. I highly recommend!

Of all the hotels I stayed in during my 2 week visit to Italy, Hotel San Michele was my favorite. The staff is extremely welcoming and accommodating. The location is perfect, the room and bathroom were spacious and the bed was quite comfortable. I especially appreciated the high quality olive oil toiletries in the bathroom. The hotel breakfast was exceptional. I purposefully avoided the American chafing dishes of eggs and bacon, so I could enjoy the served cappuccino, yogurt, pastries, cheeses, and Mortadella. I especially enjoyed the Muesli on my yogurt with Marconi almonds.

The San Luca is obviously a popular hotel in Cortona and for a reason. Built into the hillside, it is right at the start of the town’s main walking street and basically all its rooms offer amazing views, including the lower situated rooms. The rooms are simple but elegant and the bed sheets are really great quality. The breakfast room also has great views as well as a good variety, including many savoury items. The only area where the place could improve is the reception where especially the younger staff lacks some hospitality skills. They should definitely explain the unusual set up of the hotel as the reception is the first level and the one below is the second, then the third. Given that this is Tuscany, the San Luca is not a cheap hotel but for a gym with a view, it might very well be worth the splash.

Absolutely beautiful and romantic and everything we could had hoped for. In nature and surrounded by the beauty of Tuscany. An awesome pool and swim area. Stunning surroundings, comfy rooms, lovely breakfast. Shuttle into Cortona regularly or as you request it. Just lovely! What I imagine was an authentic Italian experience. Really wish we had more time here. Please make more options for vegan guests, but I must say the soy mylk cappuccino was absolutely delicious

We celebrated my daughter and son-in-law's wedding with a reception at Villa Baldelli in early September and it was a magical experience. The stunning house and gardens with views up to our beloved Cortona could not have provided a better setting for an outdoor reception. Francesca and Leonardo were so helpful in the planning stages and they and the rest of the staff could not have been more welcoming to family and wedding guests alike, both during our stay and on the wedding day itself. Nothing was too much trouble and the professionalism of all involved was exemplary. Yet we were made to feet like we were at home. We will be forever grateful to Villa Baldelli for one of the happiest, most memorable and beautiful experiences of our lives.

This i such a special place, so much so we keep coming back. Its not just a B&B but a home from home run by a most lovely family. The attention to detail is faultless and having not been here for a couple of years due to Covid, its clear Simonetta has invested much time and money into continous property improvements and a new lovely spa area complex. If you wish to immerse yourself into true Italian culture then this is the place to stay, Simonetta is the most charming lady, patient and always looking to please and help with making your stay most memorable. This is not just a B&B, Simonetta is a gifted cook and their cooking classes not to be missed and whilst a B&B dinner is available on request in a beautiful setting as the sun sets and then for breakfast as it rises once more. The rooms are beautifully decorated with true Italian decor, clean and very comfortable. There is nothing I could add to make this special place any better Simonetta has a true talent making this place a one of a kind. This accommodation was a welcome surprise with its very picturesque buildings and grounds. We were very comfortable in our cute 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor. The manager gives you a brief rundown on the electronic gates and rooms. They are beautifully scented with Tuscan oils. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom had soft towels with plenty of hot water with gorgeous Tuscan shampoo and shower oils. The kitchen was adequate for basic cooking. However, remember there are no supplies other than 2 coffee pods, a few tea bags, and one complimentary bottle of water. We swam in the pool, which was cool but very clean. They supply a pool towel each. Suggestions we think would have made our stay even better: 1. A compendium in the room explaining the heating / cooling systems. Also, there is no information regarding key drop-off if you leave early and the gate is locked. We had to climb the gate. Despite the manager giving you a number to message, the reply is not instantaneous, and all this can be covered in an information booklet. It's a very easy fix 2. A dish rack that you could sit over the stove top and drained back into the sink (nowhere to put washed dishes as stove top right next to sink) 3. Spare tea-towels (only 1 provided for 3 days) 4. Given that there are no washing facilities (that we knew of), more than 1 bath towel would have been nice!
