H10 Ocean Suites

We enjoyed our stay here, modern hotel in great location, next to shops, beaches, harbour and everything you need. Staff are well trained staff and food was very good with branded drinks and house wine was of good quality You have to pay for the safe, bed is a bit on the hard side and tv has only a US news channel but this didn't spoil our holiday.
Apartamentos Hesperia Bristol Playa

So let's remember these are an extremely reasonable 3* self catering apartments, yes it is a bit tired and dated in places and the kitchen equipment could be more substantial for self catering, however, there is no issue with the cleanliness of the resort, the apartment and communal areas were kept clean and the maintenance team were clearly busy renovating areas of the resort, the reception staff were polite and helpful and when we did have a small issue with a missing sink plug this was resolved within 10 mins. The pool bar was reasonable and extremely friendly, the on site supermarket was well stocked. The only negative was the calibre of many of the guests, this really appeared to be a typical brits abroad resort, waiting to reserve sunbeds at 8.30 every morning, loud inappropriate language in front of young children, and sometimes aggressive nature no doubt caused by over drinking. To conclude, it's a nice 3* resort, but unfortunately attracting typical brits looking to drink heavily, lay in the sun, and adopt an aggressive approach to the staff. I wouldn't hesitate to book again but knowing this was a good location to base myself not necessarily stay on the complex during the day.
Labranda Bahía de Lobos

This hotel is in a great location. Apartment & balcony are very spacious and welcoming. Our sink was very slow emptying so on our way out I mentioned it the chap on reception and he phoned the maintenance man right away. By the time we returned the problem had been sorted. You can’t get better than that so a big thank you to everyone., The pool areas have plenty of sun beds. We had a very swift booking in on arrive. The staff very informative. Breakfast & lunch are served in a separate restaurant to the evening meal and the staff work really hard to clear the tables as quickly as possible. The food on offer is well presented and plenty of choice. Both pool bar & evening bar staff are always friendly. The safe in your room is free. Also you can have a pool towel should you want a clean one just go to the reception staff and they will replace the towel for you €1. We enjoyed our Christmas stay in 2023 so booked to return for a month in November and enjoyed the New Year events. We have stayed in 2 other hotels in the resort but only returned to the Bahía. We are looking forward to our return ( booked) for another month at the end of the year. The staff work well as a team.
Playa Park Zensation
4.4/555 Reviews
Fourth visit to Playa Park and not disappointed. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Rooms large and always kept clean and towels changed daily. Food in buffet gave plenty of choice and delicious plus wine and fruit juices free with meals. A la carte restaurant has been improved greatly though it is mainly self service which gives you more choice for starters, vegetables and deserts. Only complaint is pools are freezing, surely solar panels could be installed to heat one or two - polar bears said they were too cold. Great to see Gino back and to Millen again - great animation team. Entertainment good in evening but same weekly, so visit downtown Music Square or Rock Cafe for a change. Dino hypermarket short walk away, reasonable prices. Craft market twice a week in Bell Tower shopping precinct.
Alua Suites Fuerteventura - All Inclusive
4.1/566 Reviews
My friend and I stayed at the Alua Suites for our annual January Canaries 4-day break. We really had a great time, and were staying in the My Favourite Club (MFC) section. GREAT STUFF: MFC rooms are lovely, the best we’ve had in the Canaries. Large and clean, with welcome drinks and some cans in the fridge. Clean bathroom with large shower, walk in wardrobe. Lovely patio only a stone’s throw from the pool, bar and restaurant so you can pop back whenever you like. The pool area in MFC is really quiet with none of the yelling, music and disturbances you often get from animations teams in the Canaries. We really loved the cushioned sunbeds by the pool and the cushioned chairs on our patio. These cushions alone make a big difference to the quality feel of a place. I was impressed by the token system for returning glasses which means the hotel isn’t cluttered by mess. By and large, the staff are really friendly. Vanessa, Monica and Raymond deserve special mention as they were so kind and chatty. For the most part, communal areas were clean and food areas were presented well. GOOD TO BE AWARE: The food, although fresh and tasty, was less varied than in other resorts we’ve been to. For example, generally only mediocre melon and grapes as choice of prepared fruit, with the occasional plate of grapefruit and orange. There are fewer food stations than other hotels, meaning less choice. Some fish was lovely (the à la carte restaurant fish) but others were full of bones that made it very difficult to eat. Vegetarian choice was minimal, but some “vegetarian sandwiches” turning out to be tuna! The non-MFC areas are busy and noisy though still attractive. However, they are also more run down. The area around the Fresco restaurant needs a paint job! All paintwork in all the loos in public areas could do with refreshing. The drinks are confusing. Some cocktails are included and others not, but the one and only menu telling you which is which is behind the bar and only produced on request. We took photos of it so we could refer back to it. The restaurants, what’s open when and for what is also completely baffling, but the app answers a lot of this so is worth downloading. I am not the least bothered by calling out Omar, generally working the Agua Bar, as rude, surly and unfriendly. He made it really unwelcoming to use that bar, so we tried to stay away from it most of the time. Others working there were lovely. We didn’t watch any of the entertainment because the only apparent area to watch from is outside the Terra restaurant which is too brightly lit and has a canteen feel to it. None of this need bother you if you choose to stay in the MFC areas. OVERALL: MFC was lovely for us. This review is really for others travelling without children as I can’t comment on the experience of being a family at this hotel.
