We had a lovely week, we stayed in a My Favourite Club Suite. Our 2 18+ daughters were in the room next door. We used the lounge for breakfast and lunch some days others we went to the Terra Restaurant. We aren’t keen on A La Carte so used the Terra Restaurant for dinner, it had a nice quiet area to the right reserved for MFC. The food was fine although did feel a bit sameness by end of week. We would recommend the Alua Suites and will be back

My husband & I had a very pleasant week stay. Our only complaints were the WiFi was really poor to connect to & very slow if we were able to join the WiFi. Check in was also slightly disappointing due to only having 1 member of staff on the desk. At other times when we walked through reception there had been 2, sometimes 3 staff members available. The hotel was very well cleaned & all staff were very happy, smiley & approachable. Food & drink variety was on par. Plenty of shops within walking distance. Lots of people review the hotel, not many people comment on the weather. We found the weather warm with cloudy & sunny days as a mixture. Evenings were pleasant & we didn’t need trousers or a cardy/jacket. I’m only writing that comment because if you’re like me, you’d like to pack in preparation. I know the hotel can’t control the weather 🤣🤣. Thank you to all the staff that worked tirelessly every day & for maintaining a very high standard.

We expected H10 to be as good as it looks in the photos, as they have a good reputation. I am posting this review so that honest and recent information is available. They are working on maintenance or repairs to parts of the building , but its general area furnishings are tired and worse for wear. I would say its in need of a re-furb and modernisation, because its shabby but not chic. The pool metal steps 2 sets are not fixed securely in the ground and the third set had been removed...guessing for same reason. I complained and was told theyve already sent their maintenance colleague to solve the problem, We left 3 days later but it hadnt been repaired - but Im guessing its not a quick fix. We booked this H10 because we thought H10 had a good reputation and also we wanted all inclusive. The hot counter in the main restaurant was small and the food wasnt great. eg at breakfast only smoked bacon on offer , mushrooms didnt seem fresh and only garlic mushrooms on offer...garlic mushrooms not my cup of tea at breakfast . The cold meats/cheeses/fruits and desserts were ok. The hotel staff informed us they have an italian restaurant 3 nights a week, but its was just the snack bar which has a ”mama mia ” sign above the kitchen. It had a small italian menu which is ok but our food was not good there either. eg We had Carbonara ( named something different on menu but called carbonara by the staff) said to be in a creamy sauce...no sauce visible, but it was sitting in a pool of oil. We went across the road to look at the H10 Ocean Dreams, Boutique hotel ( they dont offer all inc ) and saw that they are totally worlds apart yet both 4 star. On a positive note The staff & cleaning were good and beds were great, the drinks were premium brands and the grounds were beautiful, but I am very surprised that that H10 Ocean Suites is rated 4 star.

TRIP ADVISOR REVIEW BRISTOL SUNSET BEACH Room 21K block 2, easy access by lift to roof bar/ breakfast etc. We were last drop off , ( some one has to be!)so a while on the bus, so after 11 pm by the time we were dropped off right outside the hotel. Checkin no problem, courteous staff, and on discovering there was no water in room and no change for vending machine, decided to go out near midnight to purchase some; a very kind girl, possibly from roof bar or gym, said not to go out and fetched a large bottle of water from bar to tide us over for the time being, very kind, thanks. We did pop out anyway, nearby pub for holiday pint.. We had a 1 bedroom apartment, nice and modern, full size fridge freezer and a dishwasher. The bed was very comfortable and great pillows. There’s also a tv in living area and bedroom, not that we really watch tv on holiday. The shower is really good, rain, waterfall, and body directed jets as well as hand held with 3 settings. There was a small balcony with table and 2 chairs, looks onto gardens and the adjacent block; never got the sun though. Breakfast is buffet, served on roof, usual selection and enough choice to start your day, the view from roof terrace is lovely, out to sea and land. We never used the bar at night as music square, restaurants are 10 minute walk away( we’re older..) but never had any issues with loud music playing into the night, bar closes 11pm most nights and midnight at weekend, we were told, but we’re not early bedders on holiday, midnight usually. The music played during breakfast and rest of day is a good mix and pleasant. The pool is small, but adequate, always managed to get a sun bed if we wanted one, but area is smaller than usual. Bedroom only (not living area)had a large cooling fan and worked well to keep room cool during our stay. Restaurants on seafront are good and not as expensive as you would think for restaurants in that location, we went to Sotavento 3 times, very nice, also La Playita, on the ***** try La Tasha and for good food but grumpiest waiters in the world😉 try El Toro Bravo. Walking to music square etc May take a couple of tries if you dont check your street map first, to get the shortest route, but once you’ve found your way, it’s easy, also, coming out of hotel, turn right instead of left you have a nice costal route, about a leisure 30 minutes to harbour/ marina and start of restaurants approaching from opposite direction.

After reading the reviews before going, we were a little worried. But we were very happy with our rooms, they were on the first floor overlooking the sea. Which although no sun on the balcony, and not the best view ever,(overlooking wind turbines) we preferred for the privacy. The rooms were clean, spacious and the bathrooms looked to be newly fitted, and were of a high standard and always had hot water. The shower was lovely! We had a full clean midweek included! The pool was clean and inviting and we had no problems getting a sun lounger! The poolside bar was good value and staff very friendly! Very handy having a shop onsite too. Despite our apartment being right next to the road, the soundproofing was good and we never heard the traffic, which was only busy when the ferry came in. For the price we paid, I feel this is very good value and would not hesitate to book here again. Great place for some winter sunshine and a break. Our rooms were 258 & 259

Everything and more. Loved everything The comfy beds our room was really big right at the front of the hotel Friends came to join us for a few days and they loved it too they had an upgrade so we went to the pool on the roof. Great views. I will definitely book one of these rooms next time
