The hotel is so old, reception is very unprofessional they always seek money if you ask for a late check out they will say they don’t have and they will offer you half day check out (which will be half payment if your room ) and later they will say the hotel half day is only till 4pm and again they will try to charge you. Be careful with the tuktuk drivers outside the hotel scammers every where

No yf, I booked a room for 2 days. After staying for one night, I went to Galle with no room but a bag. I called the hotel and told them that I would wait until around 3 pm to pick up the bag and check out. I told the hotel that it was okay. They took my bag to the front desk for cleaning, but when I went to the hotel the receptionist asked me to pay an extra half day's room rate. I told them that I had called them, but they didn't know. In the end, I had to pay half a day's room rate before leaving!

Please stay away from this place !!! This is the worst place I have stayed, the rooms were dirty started Itching, the AC was leaking the whole night, the room was very dusty. If I would I would give a negative rating. Patches all over the wall, the water pressure in the washroom was low and rust and mold as you can see from the attached pictures. I would not recommend this to anyone. Not at all as described and the pictures online are very outdated.

It's really worth it with the location and it's easy to go everywhere. Very free place and the rooms were nice not only that Apart from an electric kettle, the other facilities were good, However, it was the best place to find for the price 😇👋🫂👣

My recent stay at Juliana Hotel in Colombo was unfortunately marred by various issues with the hotel's condition. The cleanliness of the room and toilet was exceptionally poor, with the added discomfort of finding bugs in the toilet. The air conditioner was both loud and noisy, and there was a persistent unpleasant odor in the room. Furthermore, several lights in the room were not working, and I noticed holes in the bedsheet. An inconvenience worth noting is that the hotel does not provide an iron or ironing service, so it's advisable to carry your own. My experience was disappointing to the point that I had to check out after just one night, even though I initially booked a three-night stay. On a more positive note, the staff at Juliana Hotel were friendly and accommodating, and the hotel's location was convenient. However, the hotel needs to urgently address the cleanliness and maintenance issues to provide a comfortable experience for its guests.

The location of the hotel is superb and the price can't be beat. It is beyond me how the hotel can run air conditioning in the rooms at this price. I don't understand why this hotel has so many bad reviews. Either the hotel is booked by people who are extremely stingy or who have to calculate with every single rupee. Regarding the nationalities of the guests, it must be said that you can't even rent a chicken coop for this price in their countries of origin. The hotel offers all the promised facilities such as attached bathroom, air conditioning, WIFI and TV. The hotel can only be criticized for not having a single room in the entire building, as shown on the hotels own website. At this price it must be clear to everyone that this is a very basic, run-down budget hotel and one cannot make any claims. If you have higher demands, you have to pay about three times as much in Colombo. If you have higher demands but don't have the necessary finances, you have to make do with hotels like the Juliana or don't come to Sri Lanka. My company booked the hotel for an employee as it is very well located for our business. After ouremployee had a look at the room, we immediately rebooked him to another hotel, but we won't be upset about that and won't give a bad review for the above reasons.

This does not look like the pictures in the website at all. The worse place I have been to. The room is full of dirt. There were hair on the bed sheets, tiles in the room and the bathroom was broken. Smells really bad. I felt vomitish the moment I entered the room. As soon as I saw the room, I didn't want to stay. I wanted a refund. I didn't stay more than a minute there. When I told that to the manager, he sent a person to check the room. They were lying saying we used it. The worst service ever. The stuff was drunk and could smell them from a mile away. Never go with your family.

This place is a mismanaged chaotic entity. The whole hotel management needs a revamp and a proper class in hospitality. The rooms, restaurant, front desk all need a massive makeover, they have a Chinese management who don’t know how to treat guests.

Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed on! Looks okey from the outside but when you get to you room it is absolutely disgusting. Insects everywhere! In the bed, walls, floors. Ac did not work either and there is no Wi-Fi. And the bathroom is even worse, so disgusting! We checked out after 10 minutes and changed hotel. Do not stay here!
