A Cabin that is steps to the river with Mountain Views and a back entrance into the most popular West Fork Trail in Sedona, AZ on the Oak Creek River. 20min to Flagstaff and 10 min to Slide Rock we are in the most perfect and sought after location. If you don't want to be stuck in the traffic of Sedona and get away from it all then consider making this amazing place, your next Arizona vacation. This 3B/2B Cabin was built in a very special area to this red rock region which is secluded just outside the main congested city of Sedona. This is the area everyone comes to see and visit while they hike and fish and this cabin is perched 150yds above the river in the middle of it all. The amount of time you will save not having to drive while you circle the area for hours looking for a legal parking spots is priceless, especially when on vacation. Behind our two level cabin is the National Forest that provides all the privacy you need to relax and enjoy pitch black nights that smell of pine needles and wood burning stoves. With this seclusion does come some draw backs and that is snowing weather with rapid melts that swell the river and can at times, make our small private road that crosses over the river difficult. * Read below for all the details. 95% of the year there is no issues with accessing the cabin.Comfortably sleeps 7 (4 adults/3 kids) Three bedrooms...Master King and bath with shower, 2nd queen bed and 3rd upstairs kids bedroom bunk bed with pullout trundle bed. 2nd bathroom on top level has a larger shower with a larger full size stack-able washer dryer. Large open living room with amazing canyon views and extra large balcony for outdoor eating, BBQ, lounging and sitting around the safe propane fireplace (no wood fires permitted due to fire hazards within the cabin) Indoor fireplaces are not to be used due to fire hazard as well. 3 cars max with three parking spots up on our parking pad. There is no parking anywhere else as you will block the road or our neighbors parking. The driveway is steep and can be a problem in the winter, not allowing you to park in the designated parking area. If there is snow or ice on Shady LN we require you to have real 4x4 This is a cabin tucked in a canyon with only a few other homes close by so we ask all guests to be mindful the road and parking. There is a small country store down the road with a coffee shop and limited amenities. Although we have satellite internet (Starlink) which works great for internet browsing and emails it is not consistent enough to stream Netflix and other apps on a consistent basis. We have a large DVD collection and Direct TV DVR. We as owners enjoy the fact we have limited internet and can really unplug from the rest of the world and take a true vacation. Verizon and other major carriers have decent LTE coverage out on the front part of the cabin. Weather issues explained in more detail:There is a dry river crossing and short dirt road with a steep driveway access to the cabin for 95% of the yr that even a sports car can easily use but winter months can make access difficult. Let me repeat this may only happen a couple times a yr during extreme winter snows and flooding, this does not happen very often but when it does you need to understand this information below. The worst time is simply snow (3" or more) a few times in the winter which most 4x4's can handle with off road style tires but the real problem is if the driveway freezes and gets icy not allowing you to get up to the parking area. Then after the snow stops and is followed by warm weather or rain it can cause the river to flood. Best thing to do is book your stay around those winter months then reach out to us and we will advise you best we can if snow and floods are going to be a possible issue. Up to date weather info is only available 2 weeks out and not super accurate till days before. If weather prevents your stay we will refund you according to our refund policies. Two other things that can cause issues is if the state closes the main highway but, that is usually only during extreme weather and if they haven't plowed the road yet or second if the weather has been sever leading up to your reservation we still need time to get our cleaners in to clean after bad storms and it has been keeping them out. We will try our best to alert you of stormy weather but we cannot guarantee it. If it overflows or the road is closed while you are at the cabin you will not be able to drive out but there is always walking access out through West Fork parking/entrance by using a 1 mile long trail that is accessed at the end of shady lane via trail head which that has a very high bridge over the river. That trail might be muddy or snowy so I don't recommend it for elderly or small kids, but it is there and you can get out to the main highway. When I personally stay there and I feel like there is a chance that the river will rise on me I will sometimes park a vehicle at the West Fork Parking and leave a note for the rangers telling them not to tow and why I am parked there with my phone number. So I can walk out and have a vehicle. We will do everything we can to keep house open and available during those times. Finally there is a septic tank so you must be conscious not to flush anything other than waste and septic safe toilet paper. Most cabins in this area have self contained sewer so we are one of a few that has the convenience an actual septic tank. With all that said this is a special place despite it possible difficulties in the winter. You can fish along the river with a fishing license (rangers patrol and write large tickets if you don't have a lic) we just ask to be mindful of our neighbors, their private property and not to over fish the small creek. We practice catch and release with the browns and brook trout and when we want to keep fish we catch at Sedona Rainbow Trout Farm a few miles down the road. Very easy for everyone and guaranteed to catch trout for $. In late summer there are wild blackberries and crab apple trees which you can pick right around the house and all along the river. Pretty amazing to catch your dinner, pick fruit for desert pies and drink spring water collected only a few miles north.Max 3 cars. Two cars is more do able but there is room for 3 if need be. There is no parking for any additional cars. There is a grill there to use although it did take some damage in the last storm it does still work (until we get it replaced soon). Propane is not provided but extra tanks are available at the cabin and sometimes may be full, but refills are the responsibility of the guest and can be done at the Home Depot in Flagstaff or any gas stations that offer it.Trash Cans must be strapped closed and there is an additional cleaning fee if renters negligence allows wildlife to shred open the trash and make a mess. it will happen trust me even if you leave open one night. The raccoons don't miss a meal...ever. Also, if you take out the large bean bag please put it back in its spot in bunkbed room. It’s too large to leave out and our cleaner is a small 100lb woman who has a very hard time moving it around. **Please note that we do have security cameras located outside at the property.City of Sedona Permit #STR-24-0561About pets:Pets allowed: limit 2 total.Max 2 pets.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 25.About events:No events allowed.

Our cozy cabin retreat is a true oasis, nestled in the middle of beautiful Oak Creek Canyon, just 5 miles north of uptown Sedona. It's a quiet, very peaceful retreat, perfect for when you' need to get away from the hustle and bustle & relax. We are surrounded on all sides by gorgeous canyon views. Although you can’t see the creek from the home, you can hear it flowing from our back yard. There's no direct access to the creek from our house, but it's a very short 5 minute walk. This beautiful 2800 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath cabin has plenty of room for your stay! All 3 bedrooms are large and very spacious, each with a very comfortable, king size bed, and each bedroom has its own special features. The master bedroom has a large sitting area, complete with a couch and a cozy, stone fireplace easily operated with an on/off switch, as well as a TV. There are also two decks off the master, one small deck that overlooks the back yard, and another very spacious deck with beautiful canyon views, complete with an outdoor sectional, perfect for star gazing! A telescope is also available for checking out the beautiful night sky. There is a desk/workspace in the master as well, if you require a dedicated space to work, away from the main area of the house. The master bathroom also features a jacuzzi tub, which takes relaxation to an all new level! The 2nd bedroom also has a small deck with a bistro table and chairs, overlooking the backyard. This bedroom also has a large sitting area, with a rocking chair and full sized couch. The 3rd bedroom used to be a loft, until we added a wall to provide additional privacy. It is a great place for teens or older kids to hang out, as it has a large TV, as well as a couch and 2 twin size beds. Games & puzzles are also stored in this room. The 2nd & 3rd bedroom share a bathroom.***All 3 bedrooms are located upstairs, so guests must be able to go up and down stairs with ease. They are hardwood stairs with no carpeting. Please provide your own baby gates if you are bringing small children.***The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need (and then some!) to cook to your heart's delight during your stay. There is a large island with 3 bar stools, as well as a kitchen table with 6 chairs (and great canyon views to boot!)There is a separate coffee bar, complete with a Keurig coffee maker and coffee pods for your use as well. The family room is spacious and comfortable with large windows and gorgeous views of the backyard. A gas fireplace makes the space very cozy and relaxing as well. The back yard is a true oasis with gorgeous views of the canyon on all sides. The sound of the flowing creek (you can hear it, but can't see it from our property), and the chirping of the plentiful birds the canyon attracts is very relaxing. There is a large outdoor sectional, two swivel chairs, two lounge chairs, and a circular day bed for your use during your stay. There is a wood burning fire pit (you are responsible for providing your own firewood) and a propane powered BBQ grill. There is also a large covered patio (underneath the master deck) off the side of the house with a nice sitting area. Please note, there are two sets of stone stairs that go down into our backyard, so if you are bringing small children, you will need to provide your own baby gates. Also, as mentioned in the house rules, pursuant to a Sedona city ordinance as well as our neighborhood regulations, no excessive outside noise or music will be tolerated between the hours of 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM. This is STRICTLY ENFORCED and please keep in mind that noise travels very easily in the canyon! Please note: Since our property is located in a very unique setting, in the middle of a canyon, Wifi service can be spotty from time to time. We look forward to hosting you in our cozy canyon retreat! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.OUR NEIGHBORHOOD— PLEASE NOTE!Our neighborhood is a small, creekside community. On rare occasions, when there is excessive rain or snow, the bridge over Oak Creek (that is necessary to cross to enter our neighborhood) is either flooded or covered in ice, making entry or exit into or neighborhood difficult or impossible. Please be aware of weather conditions when booking our home in the winter or during a heavy rain season. It is advised to have 4WD, AWD or chains on your vehicle during the winter months. Also, please note that the 7 mph speed limit in our neighborhood is STRICTLY ENFORCED. Please respect our neighbors and our community and abide by the 7 mph speed limit.LOCATION:We are just minutes from uptown Sedona which has many wonderful restaurants and lots of shopping, and of course mind blowing views of the red rocks! We are 1.5 miles south of Slide Rock State Park, which is a great place for tubing, hiking, splashing in the creek, or a beautiful picnic. Breath-taking West Fork Trail is 5 miles north of our home as well. There are literally hundreds of great hiking, biking, and off road vehicle trails all within 15 minutes of our home. Several wineries are also within a 30 minute drive, as well as Verde River kayak excursions, hot air ballooning, helicopter tours, Pink Jeep off road tour (which is HIGHLY recommended!), Verde Canyon Railroad and several types of tours to the Grand Canyon, which is 2 hours away. YYantujiluA bit on the pricey side, though perhaps that's the going rate for Page. It was clean and well-maintained, and breakfast was generous. The air conditioning unit, however, was incredibly noisy, sounding just like a tractor. Even after turning ours off for the night, we could still hear the same tractor-like racket coming from neighboring rooms.

GGuest UserIt's also a small local shop under the name of a big-name hotel chain. The location is not bad. It's not far from several tourist attractions and trails, and dining is very convenient nearby. The room is not big. There is a terrace on the first floor, which is only half a square meter, connected to the outside and neighbors. It's not exclusively for Chinese as Ctrip boasted. I guess the Chinese make a lot of noise, so they only give rooms on the first floor. Several hotels booked through Ctrip were assigned to the first floor or to relatively poor rooms. I don't know if it's because Chinese have a bad reputation and are not liked. I hope Chinese people will behave according to local customs and behavioral norms when they go out.

GGuest UserThe hotel is average, with areas that need work but also some aspects that made it stand out in comparison to other Grand Canyon Village hotels. Though very clean, the hotel and rooms seem somewhat old, dated and could use some updates, . The hall carpet in our building looked faded and worn, though the carpet in our room was more vibrant and just looked fresher. The rooms could use some fixture upgrades and while our room seemed dated, it was very clean and comfortable. If we were to go again, I would definitely ask for an upper floor (even though there are no elevators) as we stayed on the bottom floor room and you could hear foot steps and people faintly talking in the room above. us On the positive side, Yavapai Lodge is a ways from the rim and, while still an active place, it didn't have the mass of people the the hotels on the rim seemed to have. There is a Blue Line bus that stops right in front of the rooms that is free and offers a great way to get around the park. A real plus with Yavapai Lodge was the large parking lot with plenty of room to park your car. Also, there is a nice pub across the road from the rooms which gives you an easy opportunity to step out and have a beer and a bite to eat. Additionally, nearby is the Market Plaza with General Store and Deli, which offers grocery store items, some clothes and limited camping equipment. I would consider staying here again though it probably wouldn't be my first option.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay here. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Room was cleaned well each day. Highly enjoyed the breakfast/dinner options available at the in hotel restaurant. Location is great and close to the park. We had no wait to get in the park as any day we entered before 10 am. If for some reason you will be entering the Canyon later than that then understand there may be a line/wait.

GGuest UserFirst, the positive: 1. The staff was courteous, professional, and helpful. 2. The outdoor area was well above par. The pool was clean with in-pool loungers (4). Safety equipment and signage posted. Multiple cabanas (6?) were available. Large fire pit with plentiful seating. The pool is 5 feet deep at the center. This is not a pool made for swimming laps, but for lounging. 3. Rooms have an outdoor balcony with a table and 2 chairs. 4. Windows have both a blackout screen and a privacy screen. The window is able to be opened for fresh air and is screened. 5. HVAC was in good order and worked perfectly. 6. In room refrigerator was clean and worked well. Microwave, TV, and phone in room. 7. Breakfast area was spacious and breakfast offered multiple options though I did not avail myself of this amenity. Now, the negative: 1. The room itself was much smaller (king bed ) than expected. Room was cramped and looked nothing like the pictures on the website. 2. The bathrooms were recently remodeled, but the aesthetics are problematic. Why would anyone put wood laminate flooring in a bathroom with a walk in shower that has approximately a 2” inch lip and shower curtain in lieu of doors? You take a shower and the floor gets wet...no bueno. 3. There is a $10 per night service fee charged on registration. The fee is for wifi and other services. I don't recall seeing this posted when I reserved the room, but perhaps I overlooked it. I didn't object paying it, but the fee should be transparent. 4. Housekeeping is performed every 3 days and if you need more towels, etc., simply contact the front desk and they will have what you need brought up. Other: I booked the room for 2 nights but opted not to stay the 2nd night.

Ccaffe_scReally great location for Lake Powell. Pools are nice - there are two - with one hot tub that’s not functioning very well. 10/10 for the Lake Powell view from the common area. It’s however a bit rundown… rooms are clean, but they are very dated and need proper maintenance. Being in the middle of the desert area also means wildlife in the room - I was faced with a highly venomous bark scorpion in the room. Asked the receptionist, yet it turned out no one could help… If you aren’t brave enough, maybe best to avoid. The room had a marina view. But that wasn’t what I hoped for - I was looking for a room with a lake view. Maybe better listing is needed.
