We were checked in by a woman with a huge smile (no name tag) and greeted like old friends. We got settled in our room and then left for a bit. We had an AC problem in the room (it turned on the system but would not shut off at the set temperature) so when we got back to our room it was 58°! We turned on the heat and left again, and when we returned, it was 88°. We explained the problem to Austin and he got right on it, getting the maintenance supervisor involved. Austin was very hall and also very welcoming and eager to make sure everything was okay with our room. They got it fixed and we had a very pleasant second night in that room. Rooms were impeccably clean. The breakfast was superior to other free breakfasts we have had at other brands. Maid service was daily and excellent. Checkout was fast and efficient. This was our second time to stay here and it was as good the first time!

I’m an avid traveler and was worried about staying here after reading some reviews. The hotel is located in a nice area of Bluffton and walking distance to numerous restaurants, stores, etc. Yes, they are going through renovations, but that’s just part of life. I thought the room was nice, clean etc. the bed was wicked comfortable; slept very well! And I took a nice long hot shower! I tried watching a football game on my iPad; Wi-Fi not so great. Free breakfast buffet is adequate. They continued to run out of coffee

Wanted to love that hotel until not very nice behaviour of lady at the breakfast . We had a free breakfast but she asked me to sign a check with a charge on it .. then she was just rude when I asked why .. location was nice but to get there we needed to cross a bridge , no uturn sign before the hotel . My Honors status was not recognised during check in . Room was clean and top floor had nice view . Breakfast buffet was a little poor for the price and some items were hard to reach , no waffles . They had a make to order option as well .Pool was cold and had no towels . Hotel had enough indoor and outdoor parking spots . I may stop there again but hope stuff to be more friendly .

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. For a ”suite” hotel, such as Residence Inn and Homewood Suites, this is the absolute bottom of the barrel. The rooms are small and lack the pull out couch seen in most suite rooms. It's not well maintained with an abnormal smell permeating the facility. The Wifi and general cell service is absolute DOGSHIT. I quite literally lost internet as I was posting this very review multiple times. Worst of all, the staff is rude and there's no breakfast whatsoever. This place is more like a motel than a proper hotel. I've stayed at regular IHG hotels with better service and treatment. Hell, I've stayed at better Candlewood Suites. Do yourself a favor and go to literally any other hotel. This establishment is absolutely pathetic. So much for ”southern comfort.” The Hampton Inn & Suites in the same location is MUCH better.
