We loved Chalet Christine. We had a room on the top floor that had sweeping views across Tailloires and the lake. The accommodation has only 5 rooms and we chose the area so that we wouldn't be in the hustle and bustle of Annecy. We were greeted by Eva, who recommended restaurants and booked them for us. Each venue was fabulous. Breakfast was part of the accommodation deal and typically French and beautiful. Downstairs, the pool and spa were fantastic, and the sunbeds on the lawn were soothing after a big day out and about exploring. The only thing that I would like to see changed is to have the shower head hung on the wall rather than hand-held. We had the perfect stay in the perfect location.

Beautiful Palace in a wonderfully relaxed location right on Lac d’Annecy with a direct and private access to the lake. The hotel itself is rather on a 4* level and could do with some refreshing. In the rooms, many edges have splittered off painting and the last renovation have clearly been done “on a budget”. Staff would need better training to be up to 5 star: long waiting times on reception, untrained staff making lots of errors in bookings and in giving infos. Two real downsides: 1) Spa: no real spa there but just a (nice!) indoor pool and a hammam. The only treatment available are 3 different massages however when booking they’ll never ask you what you choose but just the duration. The quality of massage was little professional. 2) The restaurant: untrained staff, almost rude (she insisted on knowing our dessert choice even before we started our appetizers as “it makes it easier for me”). Quality of food was clearly below expectations. Oversalted, heavy in cream and lack of taste.

Nous avons loué un appartement Duplex du 15 au 17 juin. Très bien accueillie, appartement propre rien a dire. Proche du centre ville de Annecy et proche d'un magasin d'alimentation. Bien situé a 100 mètres du Lac de Annecy. Machine a laver disponible Vélo disponible Le seul problème est le débit internet (ADSL). Débit trop faible pour les enfants le soir 2 mb/s. La fibre serait un petit atout pour finaliser la qualité du service... A bientôt.

Quel bonheur d’avoir croisé le chemin de cette maison d’hôtes où il fait si bon vivre, avec la vue sur le lac et les montagnes. Merci à Dora et Eloy pour votre magnifique accueil dans votre coin de paradis, vos précieux conseils pour découvrir la région ou encore le prêt des vélos. Nous avons eu la chambre La Yaute au rdc avec un balcon donnant vue sur les montagnes et le lac. Il y a également une autre chambre avec un canapé lit. La chambrd, salle de bain.. la maison d’hôtes au global est d’une propreté impeccable. Le petit déjeuner est parfait et charmant, avec des produits de la région, servi dans le charmant salon. Nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps tellement que ce séjour fut agréable. Merci merci à vous, vous êtes incroyables! We have recently visited the BB hotel and to summarise, were a little disappointed with our stay. Upon check-in, we were greeted by a queue of 6 people ahead of us with only one member of staff taking care of customers, not an ideal start to the five star experience. Once we checked into our room, the room itself was very new and stylish, clean and tidy with amazing views of the lake, the bed and bathrooms are also brilliant. The pool has an exquisite lakeside location. Sadly from here, we were a little frustrated with the running of the hotel. Small things like bike hire being €60 per person per day… this is a 5* hotel.. this didn’t sit well with us, we spent over €300 on bike hire in the duration of our stay…. Couldn’t some bikes be included? Future guests should note that there aren’t any taxis or Ubers here, it’s also way too far to walk into Annecy. If you don’t bring your own, or hire a bike, I’m afraid you are stranded at this hotel unless you drive. Two paddleboards are available for hire, but again, for €20 per hour when they can be rented for half the price down the lane by the lake side. Embarrassing, profiteering from your paying guests! Could free use of these board be a perk of staying at this hotel?! Security and access was also a little worrying, although Annecy is a lovely place, most nights we walked from the lake path right to our hotel room door without actually seeing a single other person or member of staff. There seems to be a security gate however, during our 4 night stay we didn’t see it closed once. Lake access can also be challenging - a private pontoon is advertised however this was commonly occupied by young locals surrounded by bottles of wine. Again, not really the 5 star experience we’d hoped for conveyed by images on the website. Instead, we were lay on grass by a busy cycle path with locals and other holiday makers from surrounding areas. Overall, the location was great and we will visit annecy again, sadly, not the Black Bass Hotel.
