We spent a week holiday in a junior suite in the castle and enjoyed the time. The service is very friendly and premature, the restaurant is excellent and the atmosphere in the rooms and the magnificent park is wonderful and you will go completely down right after arrival and enjoy the stay from the first moment in full Training. The castle terrace offers a beautiful view of the park in summer, from which you also have the children at any time, while they can use the variety of playing and toys. In summer, a natural bathroom is also available that we enjoyed using in hot days to cool after a walk or visit the city. We booked the hotel spontaneously for a night and a visit to Bamberg. Just before arrival I received a mail that the reception is no longer occupied and I receive an access code for the door. The parking is located on a slope and the hotel is reached by a footstep. We arrived and arrived in the room with the access code, and we were expected to have a small, very untreated room with a renewable bathroom. As we had to see when we arrived that many Hungarian and Polish transporters were with us on the parking lot, this will not disturb the condition of the rooms for a midnight stay. The rooms are very bright, starting from the guests in the next room, where you have understood every word, until the guest has snapped about us very noisy. In the room it was cold, heating didn't go. The bathroom was also cold, so the window in the bathroom was so shocked next morning that the water went down. The breakfast was simply kept, the juice was almost empty, but that seemed to not disturb anyone because a staff member was not seen at breakfast. We would definitely not book again here.

Very functional hotel reminiscent of a UK travelodge being very clean, good comfy beds but no frills. Good wi-fi. It is located a fair walk outside of the centre but is situated very well for buses into and out of town including late night buses. Most buses finish early before 6/7pm. As we were staying 4 nights we bought a 7 day mobi-card for 2 people for €15.20 unlimited travel which is excellent value, but you have to purchase via a ticket machine as not available as an e-ticket on line. One criticism is the lack of a net curtain in bedroom, having a floor to ceiling window was like living in a goldfish bowl which could have frightened the neighbours first thing in the morning had we not been careful. The shower was good except that it could not be adjusted for height but could be hand held. Stating the hotel has a bar is a little optimistic as it consists of the hotel receptionist with beer and two bottles of wine, red or white. However I recommend you try the beer just for the sheer entertainment factor seeing it being ‘poured’. Overall we enjoyed staying at this hotel and would consider staying again as long as we remembered to pack a net curtain.

We were allowed to be guests in the “Golden Adler” with a group of over 40 people in the week from Tuesday, 24.09. to Thursday, 26.09. People in this house treated us very prematurely and friendly – both from the reception and from the restaurant. All the check-in was friendly - quickly and directly without delay. The rooms fully met our expectations. Breakfast buffet was more than enough and always well filled. All people in the group had their places and it was not even ”overflow” taking breakfast. On one evening we had booked a menu. The menu was fully in line with our wishes, was more than sufficient and very tasty. Even a later debtor in other days was problemless. I write these lines so in detail because we had read something different and had critical feelings in the group. I can actually thank this House only for the beautiful hours. To this point, – we had previously discussed and discussed the expectations with the hotel. Wünsches were met quickly and uncomplicated.

Very clean with an excellent breakfast included. Close to the railway station with a 15 minute scenic stroll into the Altstadt. We were comfortable with the unusual layout - refer to the pictures with the sink and shower beside the bed. But the total lack of storage - a cupboard, drawers or even a shelf/stand to put your suitcase on - was very frustrating. We have stayed in multiple budget accommodations and never had this problem before. We would not stay here again.
