Conrad Chongqing

This was my first trip to Chongqing, celebrating our anniversary with my husband. The hotel thoughtfully prepared a cake for me. In the morning, I ordered room service and had it delivered to our room to enjoy; the Chongqing Noodles were also delicious. Every staff member, from the front desk to the concierge, was incredibly attentive and welcoming. Choosing the Conrad this time was an excellent decision, and I would definitely stay here again. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean!

Our six-day, five-night stay at Conrad Chongqing was a truly memorable and meaningful experience, leaving us with cherished memories. Before our trip to Chongqing, I struggled with indecision about which hotel to book. However, after reading reviews on Ctrip, I promptly chose the Conrad. Upon arriving at the hotel on June 29th, I was immediately captivated by the stunning view from the front desk. We were then upgraded from our original view room to an incredible 270-degree view room, which was absolutely breathtaking. Watching the clouds drift by was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable; every casual photo I took looked picture-perfect. The room facilities were immaculate and well-maintained, and all the amenities were top-tier. Every staff member was exceptionally polite. Manager Richard, the front desk team, and the housekeeping staff were all incredibly thoughtful and attentive, making my children and me feel completely at home. A truly wonderful surprise was the farewell gesture, with unexpected flowers and gifts, which made my daughter's graduation trip extra special. A huge thank you again to Richard and his wonderful, caring team! Next time I'm in Chongqing, Conrad will definitely be my top choice, and I'll be sure to recommend it to all my friends and family!

Here's a quick review of my recent stay. First off, I had to reschedule my trip due to personal reasons, despite having a non-refundable booking. The hotel would have been completely justified in charging me according to the original reservation. However, after a discussion, they went above and beyond to proactively coordinate the date change for me. They even surprised us with a complimentary teddy bear, a duck toy, and breakfast for two – such a thoughtful and generous gesture! A big shout-out to Ctrip as well, who also provided considerable assistance. Secondly, compared to other hotels in Chongqing, this one feels quite new, and its style is exactly to my liking. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and I particularly appreciated the wide selection of pillows – a great touch! The breakfast spread was also extensive, catering to guests of all ages and tastes, with delicious food. The hotel staff were excellent as well, always attentive, quick to respond, and ready to assist with any request. Lastly, while the hotel isn't in the absolute core city center, it's not overly bustling or noisy, and you won't have trouble getting a taxi. Gongmao Station on Metro Line 3 is just a five-minute walk downstairs, making it incredibly convenient, especially if you're attending concerts! The surrounding residential area is full of hidden culinary gems, and I found myself delightfully stuffed after every meal! Overall, this was an excellent experience, and I would definitely stay here again. I particularly loved the 270-degree view room; it was so spacious and comfortable!

The facilities are new, fresh from a recent renovation, though it's not a newly constructed building. Cleanliness: Generally good, but some minor details weren't quite perfect. As someone very particular about cleanliness, I felt that hidden corners and less obvious areas could use more attention. I chose a five-star hotel specifically for its superior service and environment. Ambiance/Surroundings: The amenities in the surrounding area are quite decent. For those who prioritize a good view, I highly recommend opting for a river-view room – it's the best choice. Service: It was acceptable, but there's definite room for improvement. For an internationally renowned brand hotel, the service should ideally be more attentive and comprehensive than other establishments, delivering better value for money and offering a truly distinctive experience. I particularly loved the service at their restaurant – it was attentive, patient, and they even sought our feedback, which is commendable. However, the food quality/taste at the restaurant could definitely be enhanced. I would consider staying here again.
