WWwdaxiaowangArriving in Chongqing from Shijiazhuang, our subsequent stay during this trip was at the Regent Hotel. Let me just say upfront, this review of the Regent reflects the genuine experience of my family and me.
The hotel's facilities are exceptionally comprehensive, and they truly think of everything for their guests. Even hair curlers are available, and they can provide retainer cases and contact lens care supplies. We hadn't brought contact lenses due to travel inconvenience, nor had I brought my retainer, but honestly, staying at the Regent, you truly don't need to worry about such small details. Speaking of facilities, the hotel offers a swimming pool, a bar, Chinese and Western restaurants, kids' DIY activities, and much more.
Despite being a nine-year-old hotel, it is immaculately clean and well-maintained. The overall ambiance and design are very stylish and perfectly complement Chongqing's local culture and charm, with excellent attention to detail.
But above all, it was the service that truly stood out and was the primary reason I chose the Regent. I experienced the hotel's exceptional service two days before check-in, when they proactively inquired about our room preferences and requirements, even offering a choice of pillows. Upon arrival at the hotel, a dedicated staff member was there to open the car door, and our luggage was promptly taken care of by another staff member. During check-in, we were even presented with thoughtful and exquisite children's gift sets. While waiting in the lounge, a warm and welcoming staff member offered us drinks. After a brief respite, we entered our room to find it meticulously prepared for us, including the arrangement of latex and buckwheat pillows. The mattress was a KingKoil, and while the sleeping experience, though excellent, was perhaps a tad less perfect than our premium mattress at home, it was still very good. The toilet was a TOTO with a Washlet, and as someone who's had experience with TOTO products, I was thoroughly impressed.
The staff members were all very enthusiastic and patiently answered and handled any questions or requests. Daily housekeeping and turndown service were provided, ensuring the room was spotless, tidy, and created a wonderfully inviting ambiance. Thoughtful touches like glasses cleaning cloths, weather cards, cable ties, premium bath amenities, and even handling of laundry were all impeccable. The staff at the DIY area, swimming pool, Two Rivers Bar, and dining areas were all exceptionally good. My son was right at the 1.2-meter height threshold, yet they didn't charge for his meals.
The hotel gifted us Chongqing noodles as a souvenir, and we were even allowed to keep the room key cards as a memento. They also gave us dessert vouchers, and we received beautifully packed desserts to enjoy on our journey home. My sincere gratitude once again to every single staff member.
Well, I'll stop here; there are simply too many thoughtful details to list them all. This hotel truly sets a benchmark that many others should aspire to!

GGuest UserThis hotel is very clean and new. The location is great. Only few minutes walk from 龍崖洞or 解放碑. The staffs are very friendly. Staff Ben given us a lot of help beyond his job. The detail of places to visit, prepared umbrella for coming rain during the visit.
Also specifically thanks to the manager Helen Mo. For an elderly couple, she given us a lot of valuable advice. Such as good food for dinner , how to travel easier and best for elderly,. She made our entire stay much more enjoyable. Will definitely stay in this hotel again when we come back next time.

WWorld Wide WebThe location of the hotel is excellent — right beside Luohan Temple and within walking distance to the heart of Chongqing city. The building itself houses several hotels on different floors as well as offices, so it has that typical Chongqing mixed-use high-rise setup.
Overall, our stay was good. The service, staff, and cleanliness were all solid. However, I wouldn’t recommend the Cave Room that I booked. It was much smaller than expected, the lighting was dim, and the textured wall finishes made it easy to accidentally graze yourself. For two people with normal-sized check-in luggage, the space felt tight and not very practical for moving around comfortably.
I did take a peek at their standard rooms, and those looked much better — brighter, more spacious, and more functional. So I would stay at this same hotel again, but definitely choose the normal room category next time instead of the Cave Room.

It is in the perfect location - actually in the same building as the observatory deck, so very convenient to dress up and go up to take some sunset and night pictures with the skyline. They have laundry facilities and provide soap. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. They don’t provide normal linen bath towels but instead provide disposable towels which is more hygienic. The girl at front desk was always smiling and happy to help. Other commenters says there is poor soundproofing and the A/C is loud but we didn’t feel that way in our room. We stayed for 6 nights and we are very satisfied. We got a normal city view room and still saw a bit of the river, but I saw the view from one of the river view rooms and it was beautiful! Splurge and get the river view if you can.

The TV was a massive screen, perfect for binge-watching. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and the shower head provided strong, even water flow. Plus, there was a fridge to chill drinks – having one at night was just delightful. With these amenities, I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

Right outside the window is Hongyadong, and even late at night during the National Day holiday, lying on the sofa and watching the tourists queue downstairs offered a unique charm. It's close to all the attractions, making it very convenient to get around. The service was exceptionally thoughtful; they even gave us mooncakes and drinks during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and a fridge magnet when we left.

The hotel's location is superb, right in the Nanchuan business district. The Nanchuan Station of Metro Line 3 is just 100 meters from the entrance, making transportation incredibly convenient. It's super easy to get to popular attractions like Jiefangbei and Hongyadong, or to simply shop and dine around the area.
The hotel's decor exudes an artistic ambiance; you can feel the high-end sophistication the moment you step into the lobby. The room design is also very distinctive, with Chongqing-themed art paintings on the walls that are a delight to behold, and the use of geometric lines adds a touch of modernity. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and the mattress is just right – not too soft, not too hard – ensuring a very pleasant sleep. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, plus an extra-large rain shower, making for an excellent bathing experience.
The hotel's service is absolutely impeccable. The front desk staff are warm and friendly, and check-in and check-out procedures were handled quickly and efficiently.
In short, whether it's the location, environment, service, or facilities, the Le Méridien Chongqing, Nanchuan is outstanding. It was a very pleasant stay, so much so that I extended it for another night. Highly recommended! [Strong]

GGary SeetThe hotel might seem a little aged at first but the service and interior still wow from the first moment you step in. The room I booked was clean and spacious. The housekeeping did their job excellent. They have everything inside you could ask; washing detergent, iron, laundry rack, etc. Front desk was superb; fast check-in, great advice when asking for recommendations, and efficient when asking for items like extra water. The robot was a great thing to have as all my delivery are sent to my doorstep. All in all, this is a 10/10 solid stay. Oh, the breakfast have a great great selection and taste great too. And there is vending machine in lobby if u need any last minute groceries or even a wake up coffee. Thank you.

When arriving, the first room I was placed in smelled atrociously bad, but after telling the staff at the desk they switched me into a new one no issue. The restaurants nearby are largely cheap and quick service kitchens, but still tasty. For larger, more quality restaurants you must either enter RafflesCity or leave the area. There also seemed to be a small issue with the door locks, but all other amenities and facilities were high quality and well maintained.
