Chongqing Ashan River View Hotel (Jiefangbei Raffles Square Branch)

I specifically chose a river view room, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a breathtaking panoramic view of the two rivers converging and Chongqing's nightscape – it was an amazing experience! The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room itself was spacious and bright. The subway station is just a short walk away, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The room was spotlessly clean, and they even arranged an extra duvet for us when we asked. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place!!

This was my first stay at this hotel. It's conveniently located near Chaotianmen Pier. The cleaning staff proactively offered children's amenities when they saw we had a child. Every staff member we encountered greeted us politely. Their service truly is excellent. The room was clean and tidy, the internet was fast, and the mattress was just right – not too soft, not too firm. I'll definitely book this place again on my next visit!

We booked a loft suite, and the front desk even upgraded us, which was a nice surprise. The room was quite spacious and lovely. The only downside was that there's a staircase to get into the hotel building, which was a struggle with luggage. The front desk is on the 21st floor, and our room was on the 34th, so we had to switch elevators on the 30th floor, which was a bit inconvenient. The elevators were also quite slow, and we often had to wait a long time, making it not very convenient overall.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a ten-minute walk from Hongyadong, and Luohan Temple is right above it. The loft-style room is spacious, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a great view. It was lovely to sit by the window and enjoy the night scenery in the evening. The bath was also very relaxing, especially with the disposable bath bags and bath salts provided by the hotel. The room was tidied and cleaned very well. It's been quite hot these past few days, but the air conditioning in the room was strong and kept us cool.

Before summer fully kicked in, I decided to visit Chongqing and, after a lot of searching, I'm so glad I picked this hotel! First off, the value for money is excellent. We booked a two-bedroom suite, which was a loft-style duplex. Each floor had a large bed and a bathroom, though only the second floor had a shower. Still, it was incredibly convenient for my friend and I to get ready and sleep without bothering each other. Secondly, the hotel's location is truly unbeatable. You can easily catch a taxi, bus, or subway to get anywhere you want. Plus, it's a short walk to popular spots like Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, and Luohan Temple – some are just a few minutes away, and even the furthest is only about ten minutes. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd definitely consider staying here again next time!

The hotel is right next to the subway station and Chaotianmen, making it super convenient for getting around (the subway entrance is right downstairs). It's about a 15-minute walk to Jiefangbei, but I wouldn't really recommend walking. There are several malls nearby, which are great for shopping. The front desk can help with receiving packages, and there's a self-service laundry room. You can also store your luggage for free after check-out. For floors above the 21st, it's best to take the elevator on the right side.

Stayed here with friends, and the room was spacious, perfect for a group. The area is quiet and safe, and the cleanliness was impeccable. There are plenty of dining options nearby, including several hot pot restaurants and even street food stalls in the evenings. The room was very quiet and offered incredible views of the river and the bridge. The night scenery was also stunning. This is a great place to stay for a trip to Chongqing.
