The hotel should have been open for quite a long time. I heard that it was formerly Yuechun Hot Spring. Looking at the photos and reviews, the facilities and equipment are not new, but the environment is good, so I chose it.
At first, I booked an ordinary double room. After seeing the room, I found that it was small and the light was not good, which was a bit depressing. So I applied for Wanda membership and upgraded to a villa room with a terrace and hot spring bath for 159 (many people in the reviews said that they could upgrade for free, but the front desk said no. I don’t know if the reviews were wrong or the hotel changed its policy, and I can’t verify it). When I arrived at the villa room, I found that the indoor area was actually not much different from that of an ordinary double room. The extra 30 or 40 square meters was mainly the terrace area 🙃 and the terrace was connected to the room next to it, separated by only a few low flower troughs, and adults could easily cross it. Because the hot spring bath was on the terrace, the connected terrace would feel less private.
Besides, the pool is not hot spring water, but ordinary hot water. The water flow is really not big. It takes about an hour to put a pool of water. Moreover, the water blocking and draining of the pool are not controlled in the room. You have to call the front desk and they will send staff to the first floor of the villa to operate it. That night, I had to wait for fifteen minutes, which was not very convenient.
The episode of checking out at the end was the most unsatisfactory thing about this hotel. When we checked in, we asked about the late check-out policy. The front desk said that it could only be until 1 o'clock, so we applied for it. Before 12:30 on the day of check-out, the front desk called to ask if we wanted to extend our stay. We said that we would check out if we didn't, but we would go out after applying for 1 o'clock. Ten minutes after hanging up the phone, we heard a noise at the door. We guessed that it might be the cleaning staff, but we didn't expect that she didn't knock on the door or say hello and swiped the card to open the door directly (because this villa room has no anti-theft lock, she can come in with a swipe of the door card). She came in like this and said, aren't you checking out? I said we are going to check out, isn't it 1 o'clock? Then she didn't say sorry or sorry, closed the door and went out again, leaving us confused. As a high-end luxury hotel, this service is really... I don't know how to evaluate it. The staff can break into the customer's room at will. The experience is really bad. Later, when we checked out, we went to the front desk to raise this opinion. The staff at the front desk had a good attitude and said that it should be the aunt who made the wrong room and would be punished, etc. (But we think that even if it is a low-level mistake like making the wrong room, you should knock on the door and ask before entering the door, right? You should apologize if you make a mistake, right? Isn't this a basic requirement for hotel service?), and insisted on giving us two boxes of lotus root powder... But as a customer, I chose this hotel not for lotus root powder or how the hotel punishes employees, but for personal privacy and good service, and a comfortable vacation experience! This experience really reduced my impression of Wanda Vista 😣 I don't dare to stay there again.
