Hotel location is good close the 牌防街。Easy access to eats and shopping. Hotel owners is friendly and room hygiene is good too.

The hotel is located in the ancient city, in a relatively central location. You can see the roof of Kaiyuan Temple from the room. You can walk to some snacks you want to eat. The room facilities are much more complete than expected.

First of all, I seldom give bad reviews, and I have never spent thousands of dollars to experience such poor service in a non-first-tier city. I write this to warn everyone. Although the merchant may have been lukewarm during the communication process in the name of a one-time business, I still feel that this kind of service is not worth the price! ! Because the trip was on the second day of the Chinese New Year, I booked a room here almost a month in advance. After searching and comparing for a long time, I was influenced by the seemingly warm and comfortable pictures in the album and some good reviews and finally chose this place. Because I planned to drive there by myself, although there was no free parking, I thought that since there were tourist attractions nearby, I should be able to find a parking space. Based on the principle of comfort, I chose the inn in this ancient city. 1. The merchant contacted me by phone the day before check-in. After adding WeChat, there was no reminder before check-in or advance notice that a reservation was required to enter the ancient city by vehicle. As a result, when we drove to the ancient city in the afternoon on the day of check-in, we were delayed for a long time by traffic congestion, and the two paid parking spaces we were informed of were restricted and no vehicles were allowed to enter. After contacting the hotel, they gave us a third parking lot, which was half an hour's drive from the hotel. Later on, if it really didn't work, the merchant would call a tricycle to pick us up after we parked. 2. For convenience, I chose to queue for half an hour in the multi-storey parking lot diagonally opposite the ancient city to park. If the parking was less than 24 hours, a parking fee of 100 yuan would be charged. 3. Because I was exhausted and it was not convenient for me to bring my parents with me, after parking the car in the multi-story parking space, I contacted the inn and hoped that they would send a tricycle to pick us up at the Ancient City Inn. As a result, we called the inn for a long time but there was no response. It took a while before we got a reply on WeChat, telling us that there were too many people in the ancient city and tricycles could not enter, so we had to walk into the ancient city to find the inn. 4. I was already a little unhappy at this point, but I didn’t dwell on it too much until I saw three-wheeled rickshaws carrying people strolling on the streets of the ancient city not far from the entrance. At that time, my inner dissatisfaction had risen again. 5. I kept following the navigation and walked in the ancient city for at least 15 minutes before I finally found the alley leading to the inn. There were no conspicuous signs or names outside to guide me to the entrance of the inn. There were many electric vehicles and garbage dumps parked near the gate of the inn, and the environment was very poor. 6. We arrived at the front desk of the inn to check in. We expressed dissatisfaction with their feedback that they could not send a tricycle to pick us up and the charge was as high as 1500+ per night. They were just surprised that there were tricycles that could travel in the ancient city and did not express any apology. (It felt like they didn't want to admit that their service wasn't up to par, and just wanted to perfunctorily tell us that the room we booked in advance had passed the cancellation and change period, and we didn't have the energy to argue for a refund or a change of place during the Chinese New Year) 7. The front desk did not proactively inform or remind me of the milk tea and pastries that were reminded on the check-in page when I checked in. It was only after I checked in and wanted to know if breakfast could be provided that I contacted them and informed the front desk to pick it up. I asked why it was not proactively provided when I checked in, but I did not receive any response. About half an hour later, someone knocked on the door to ask us what we would like to choose for the complimentary afternoon tea pastries. 8. Because my parents were very dissatisfied with the service of the inn and did not like the milk tea and pastries provided by the inn, we discussed whether it could be replaced with breakfast. The previous feedback from the inn was not good, and the parent-child room can accommodate at least three people, but the cups and utensils were only for two people, and the complimentary afternoon tea was also for two people. We expressed our dissatisfaction again and communicated repeatedly, and finally they replaced it with rice rolls, soy milk and fried dough sticks the next morning. 9. The Wi-Fi password and gate password of the inn were not sent to me until after 10 o'clock in the evening on the day of check-in. You can imagine how efficient this service is. Facilities: The basic facilities are one big bed and one small bed. There are hangers but no place to hang clothes. The bathroom doesn’t even provide conditioner? It’s said to be a smart toilet but for some reason there are stains on the toilet seat that can’t be wiped off. Hygiene: Fairly clean Environment: I was deceived by the photo album and thought it was at least a spacious courtyard. But in fact, there was only a small pond at the entrance to take pictures. The pictures made it seem like the environment was very good. To sum up, this accommodation trip can be said to have dispelled my fascination with Chaozhou. The holiday premium is understandable, but are these kinds of service facilities worthy of a room rate of 1,500+ a night? At this price, you can stay in a five-star hotel in Shenzhen. I won't come here again, and I will ask my relatives and friends to avoid this place.
